Absolutely. If this theory is correct then the fans with tickets stood outside can thank the thousands without tickets causing a nuisance for them missing the game.
Allowing thousands of people without tickets to get that close is a systematic failure.

Showed footage of the gates earlier on my American feed.
It's shambolic. One security guy for a line several thousand deep. I'd be pissed if I were a Liverpool supporter.

Good old Yankee Eric.
Where is he now I wonder?
Hopefully above Gresford in the thread pecking order.
Under 19 coach at FC Cincinnati in the MLS.

Warm body.

It's unfair to blame the individual fitness of a player as well. This is a problem that is brought on from the amount of games an Premier League team has to play, the time in which it has to be played, and the lack of a squad to rotate in.
The plan and tactics work. Now it's up to Gerrard and the recruitment team to find a squad that he can use to rotate in and out. Not useless defenders like Marvelous and the kids on the bench.

The majority of those players played on Thursday night too and at the end of a long season. City had a full week to prepare.
City can field 2 teams that could beat Villa's starting XI.
Not sure what changes/subs he could make. He has no rotation because, as we all saw with Marv, the depth in the squad is terrible.

Never let him put the kit on again. Dreck.

McGinn, Luiz and especially Naka had just way too many mental errors at the end. McGinn and Luiz played hard the whole game, so I can at least understand why they **** up. Naka has to go.

They've done a really good job of that alright, no title in over a decade now? Seems they have accepted their place as a feeder club.
Bayern has been on an incredible streak, for sure, but this money will benefit that team tenfold.

Dortmund will put that money to good use, they'll just reload and conquer the Bundesliga again.

Been more lethal with our opportunities, but feels like Villa need another goal to put this solidly away.
Ref has a severe slant.

I highly rate Jesse Marsch, but Gerrard has found an XI and tactic that's been very good recently.
Villa scores 4. Leeds 2.

Pretty impressive that out of the big former England international players trying their hand at manager, they picked the worst by far. Obviously Steve has been hot and cold but looks a good bet long term. Then Rooney is getting a bunch of Vanarama level players under Admin at Derby to play their socks off.
And yet, Lampard remains. Given job after job when he couldn't manage a McDonald's.

Chambers looks like a brilliant bit of business. Hes mobile, he's smart and he's got the ability to pick a pass.

People are crazy to suggest a complete rebuild, I can see a need for 4 players and about 7 out but that is where it ends.
That's a rebuild, IMO.

Didn't realize the game was being played in Mexico.
I guess at least it wasn't full of piss.

Truly, and I know others will strongly disagree with me, I think he's the best thing to happen to the club over the past 22 years.
A manager with real drawing power, ambition and surrounds himself with a strong staff that is great at building relationships with players. He's the one to stop Villa from being a stepping stone and turn us back into a real giant of the game.

Looks like Wolfsburg are winning the race for Ricardo Pepi. Don't follow the MLS but he's supposed to be the next big US prospect.
Good business for them, I believe he'll make his way to a big club in no time.

Ricardo Pepi is going to be a name you'll likely hear going to a big European club soon enough. Absolutely burst onto the scene in the MLS, coming from one of the better developmental teams in Dallas FC. He's the next in the line of recent USMNT young success stories.

Unavoidably frustrating match.
VAR useless. To allow the one pen and not call a pen on Allison is absurd.

Five draws and a defeat in the last six, couldn't beat Norwich or Newcastle.
They also got draws against Arsenal and Liverpool, and their only defeat to Man City.
Seems just a hard team to break down and they like to sit on the ball in their own half. Negative shit.

I can't believe I'm going to say this because I'm not his biggest fan, but Trezeguet would be a welcome addition to this team over Ings at the moment. Need someone to work their socks off and I'm not sure Ings is that same guy anymore.

Davis is dreadful in the final third. Stands there, asks for a pass every now and then, but mostly is standing and waiting.
