Assuming this article is correct, then it seems our profile is high in the US. That said, much of it may have been linked to Gerrard but if that's what it took to help increase the commercial revenue then so be it.
Hopefully, we can now capitalise on any budding interest by being a successful team.

Coutinho was probably a bigger factor than Gerrard, IMO.
Coutinho is a very popular player in the US. A lot of the big La Liga teams are extremely popular, and with a large latin/south american presence, not to mention how many in the US are also of Jamaican decent, it makes sense.

if we're looking at American midfielders, I'd much rather go after Musah than McKennie
The list of Americans I'd want on the team begins and ends with either Pulisic, Gio, or McKinnie.
Do think the board is a bit harsh on McKinnie.

Could see it from day one, and I'm a stupid American who calls it soccer.
Sometimes, and it's something that happens in a lot of different sports, great players make awful coaches/managers. They just expect everyone to be like them and act accordingly. To be fair, he knew what he had in Kamara, but his insistence on McGinn over Luiz was just an outright mistake and valuing work rate over quality, I guess.

He was arrested by the Qatar police for wearing a Pride shirt to one of the matches. 2 weeks later, a healthy man drops dead?
Do not buy it at all.

I really enjoy watching US play. I can certainly see them giving the Dutch a very tough battle given Ecuador comfortably held them to a draw and US have similar style and better forward players.
Problem is once they take off their european players the quality really does drop a level with the MLS lot being put on, that Wright guy upfront was hopeless so that's the trouble know US are in knock outs, other teams can win games with their subs, the US can lose with the ones they tend to bring on.
To be fair, their best sub won't get used because Berhalter seems to not want to play Reyna. They have a few more options, but Gregg goes to his MLS guys too often. A lot of people in the states believe that the US only becomes a power in football if they win with MLS players. It's insane thinking.

Settle down. Didn’t even get to Russia. Anything from here is bonus territory. He’s done fine.
It's just more of the same, Bob Bradley plucky MLS tactics, while USMNT has legitimate top of Euro Competition talent on its roster for the first time ever.
Feels stifled by Berhalter.

The sad thing is that USSF is probably going to consider this a success now, while the Dutch stomp them out of the World Cup. Greggggg is a terrible coach and won't lead the US to anything more than what the US has already achieved.

Still don't see it in his legs.
But the fight looks back, so that's positive.

Said pre-match I don't like having 4 CMs on. Ramsey and McGinn off, get Sanson and Bailey on and go to a 4-3-3 or if he wants to keep this box system then Luiz/Kamara - Buendia/Sanson - Ings/Bailey.
Hard to say how fit Bailey is right now. Archer may be the move, then if he's fit enough, Ings for Bailey later.
-
Add me to the group who doesn't get the McGinn slander today. He's not world class, but he's played well going forward. Not the best tracking back, but we all sort of see his legs are gone, it seems.

Digne is showing pure class today. Has Marsh in his pocket.
Need a different tactic to play out of the back today. Need to find more space for Emi, he's a chance creation machine
-
Emi was inhibited by the ghost of Robin Olsen for some reason?!
-
That would be a ridiculous price for a footballer of Kessie's quality.
Kessie and Kamara would be a tremendous duo. You could play those two with Luiz, no problem, and it'd be a tremendous midfield.
-
I understand giving everyone a chance to prove themselves under a new manager.
That said, Olsen, Chambers and McGinn need to be on the bomb squad.- 3

Never again

Fine with it. Muck it up a bit, see if you come through with not your best team.
We are sufficiently frustrating ManU. Need a few good attacks, never know what happens.

Almost as if the French International is really good when not being managed by incompetence.

Leon Bailey's transformation since the departure of Gerrard has been nothing short of magical.

Commentary team openly cheering for Newcastle. Disgusting.

Not tactically inept, thus the team is better.

Sick of hearing about risk.
All managers are going to carry with it a bit of risk.
Just find the right one.

I appreciate that all of his strikes are thunderous. And that's fun.

Was extremely unimpressed by him and his performance at the WC. Suggests he's more of the same from Brighton. A club with magic pixie dust at the moment. As soon as a player/manager is out from under it's umbrella, they turn into a giant pumpkin.
