Crazy things can happen in the transfer deadline. Paperwork not handed in on time, players pulling away, club comes in and swooped the player in a matter of minutes. Everything can happen.

Exactly. We only won 2 out of 7 against 10 man last season. If it was last season we'd probably collapsed at the 80th minute mark.

I wouldn't complain a single bit if it was for us to grind our way through and hold on to the win. Some other top teams i.e. manure does that all the time and it's how they keep themselves on the top of the table.

if we can manage a 40%/30%/30% WDL ratio versus the other 14, that’s 39 expected points. To reach the 50 point mark we need to secure 11 points out of 12 matches vs the top 6. In case you’re wondering, Brighton/Newcastle/West Ham/Bournemouth got 10 points vs top 6 last season.

50 points might look impossible at first sight, but it’s possible (although unlikely).

Now slipping in is A. They're pissed they letting him go for peanuts and trying to claw as much £££ from him whatever way they can in the transfer.  B. They also sadly desperately need the money - and quickly, if they're to conduct any further business, all whilst keeping a player and still paying him whilst not playing and has already agreed personal terms with Aston Villa!

Werder are running out of time in this one.

This could also be a haggling tactic. Wouldn’t be surprised if a deal is agreed at 25-28M in a few days judging on our ability on negotiations.
