I want to know which premier League clubs don't want a punishment.
Why.
If we let them get away with this it's never going to end..make a stand now you gutless freaks
I somehow have the feeling that it's us.

Guys, calm down. He's clearly talking about the Premier League and the Champions League.
Was about to sleep (01:00 in Hong Kong) and read this. Still calming myself down.
Back to reading my 60 tabs of twitter and news.

Utter shite from Purslow.
Have to be honest. Any sort of middle ground with ESL and I'm done with English football. It just can't be allowed. Utter utter wank from Purslow.
I think it's just poor news reporting.

Sounds like they are ready to cave in to some symbolic concessions
"What we need to find is a way to enable these two tournaments to thrive and they won’t be better off without those clubs"
Wouldn't the two tournaments without those clubs be the Premier League and the Champions League as he previously mentioned clubs being expelled?
I surely hope that this is the case. The narrative certainly makes it very confusing though.- 3

I wonder under the current media pressure, which other 8 teams will be happy to join. Pretty sure some of the clubs will eat their words.

The 'fans' here are not us. They are the global audience who outnumber us 100 to 1.
I can kinda confirm. A fair share of idiots in my local forum actually think that a super league is a good idea and teams other than the biggest clubs serves near to no value.

Great that Purslow spoke up against it.

Should we just play Nakamba every match from now on so we can basically get clean sheets for the rest of the season?

Don't talk about signing him for 20M, wouldn't even sign him for free since he's such a liability on the pitch.

Subs
in Villa Talk
It felt so nerve-wracking watching the last 15 min last season having the fear that eventually the opponent will score and turn the game around.
I for one have just realized that this feeling is long gone, so I checked the goals conceded in the last 15 min for this season and last season to reassure my observations: We were 9-18 last season compared to 8-5 this season in the 76-90th min in terms of goals scored vs goals conceded. On top of that, we were 9-15 during the 61-75th min last season, and we turned it into 8-3 this season.
Maybe Smith has got a point not using subs.

The very first person I would be looking to upgrade is Mings.
On his day he is up there with the best. The problem is that almost without fail he has a massive error in him every game. It's like clockwork, you know it will come at some point and just hope that it doesn't lead to a goal. And that sort of undoes all the good work that he has done.
A top quality striker would be great. Watkins can fight for a position on the wing.
Just checked, Tyrone Mings has 0 errors leading to goal according to the Premier League.

He found a formation and team that can win games?
That's what I thought too. I was asking as I didn't really understand people slating him for not changing starting lineups.
On the other hand, other than the above reason, what made DS not trying to use subs? I think he did try and at least bring one or two fresh legs in the game last season. -
I can recall Deano trying out different formations and moving players in/out of the starting 11 last season. What made him change drastically this year?
-
I think we can win this. They now have Jesse Lingard.

Bare in mind that plenty of the good players will only play in Ligue 1 for 1-2 years and move on to Spain/England. He stayed for 7.5 seasons and hence the number 1 on this rank.

Will he be in the squad for Burnley if he signs Monday/Tuesday?
Or will he be required to self isolate for 10 days meaning he won't be available until West Ham next week.
Not that it matters too much as I don't think he will start right off the bat.
I see this transfer as adding depth and rotation options to the CM position, and preparing for Europa if we ultimately got it. We need 4-5 players with Premier League starting capability for double the amount of the games.

I don't blame the players playing like they're in a training match against Newcastle. It is a training match.

Probably shouldn’t rush him into a game. Generally not a good idea.

He was great tonight apart from that one mistake that shouldn't even have existed. Really doesn't deserve the hate he's getting.

I can't see Man City not buying him back. Even if they don't plan on playing him they could still probably sell him on for a profit anyway.
They can maybe sell him to a club called Aston Villa

The only thing I look forward to towards the end of the season (apart from the return of Jack) is to see him on the pitch.
