I’d be ok with selling for in and around £100million or more. I don’t wish us to but can see the benefits.

He’s a great player but also one who I think we could replace easier than Watkins or Martinez. We need to get better at selling players at the right time for us and then reinvest that money into the team. Signed for £15million in 2019 so that’s £100mill pure profit.

I agree he would be easier to replace than Watkins or Martinez but we aren’t getting 100 million for him. Probably more like 70.

There's no statement to that effect, just some second hand comments that there's no plans to move.

They weren’t second hand comments. They were made by club representatives to fan representatives at an official meeting. They were also quite definite. I honestly think a redevelopment is more likely than a new stadium.

  3. I love Ollie but with the race for top4, coefficient fc, and the conference league, I absolutely do not have the mental energy to overly care whether he gets the golden boot or not. Sure Id be pleased but I’m too busy counting coefficient points to start tracking the goals involvements of Palmer and Solanke as well.

Was thinking based on last night's performance that he can be long term competition for Buendia. He's got that imaginative vision and capacity to find teammates in tight spaces. Very exciting for a 19yo to be playing like that.

    He’s 21 but agree.

Funny, before the match I was mentally prepared for us to be outplayed and lode the match. But we are competing so well now that I will be really pissed off if Arsenal win this.

    Like properly gutted.

Are the commentators reluctant to praise us? Or am I very sensitive?

They haven’t been bad to be fair. Praised Arsenals football, particularly Odegaard which is fair but reasonably complimentary about our resilience.

  7. I wouldn’t mind him starting Duran and Diaby, resting Watkins and Bailey. Give Lenglet and Cash some minutes if they are fit so Cash can be ready to start at RB for either Lille or Bournemouth.

After yesterday’s results, I had a sneaky bit of optimism about this game but now back to thinking pragmatically. Today won’t define our season but Thursdays might, that’s the priority.

I’m pretty excited about tomorrow. It’s a good time to play the gutters.

Is it? Why? They’re fully fit with 2 extra days rest and we’ve both got big mid week games. Not trying to be negative but I don’t think we have any advantage over them.

  9. Just seen that there is almost nothing between us and Spurs. Both played 60, won 18, drawn 6, lost 8. Both conceded 49 goals.

Only thing that separates us is we’ve scored 66 and they’ve scored 65. Couldn’t be much closer. I really hope our GD doesn’t take a thumping tomorrow.

He's showed his hand with man City, spurs losing will further enforce his decision to rest players.

I’m not sure. He’s said all season that the league is the priority. Given the coefficient let us down this week, I think he’ll want to try as hard as possible for 4th and throw everything at Arsenal who may be rotating ahead of Bayern.

At what point does the thread go from being happy with Newcastle battering Spurs... to being worried about Newcastle overtaking us 🤔

    😂

It’s all happening in my head at the same time. I’m trying to surpress it 😂
