I wonder if we just leave him there or if we pull him in Jan if he's doing amazing and send him back to League 1

If he's doing amazing you don't uproot him because of it! just let him carry on as is, no reason to rush things.

Well thought out window instead of going all out or bust. Hopefully with this approach we’ll have some sustained success instead of drifting into obscurity like Wolves & Everton.

Exactly this very well thought out window bringing in some real quality whilst shipping out those no longer required. Personally I don't see those last two loans happening but for injuries we can only speculate. We'll keep our powder dry and reasses in January.

    Just goes round in circles.

    He's shit.

    He's okay.

    He's shit.

    Emery clearly doesn't think so.

    He's shit.

    Etc.

About time people got off his back, he’s our 2nd string keeper deal with it!

The transfer window obviously has a lot of moving parts and given the last two deals have been loaned it may suggest our top targets have not been available for whatever reason.  I am sure we have more money in the kitty when the right player becomes available. All Premier League clubs are awash with cash, you still need to be a team and have a class coach. We have now thankfully got.

I think we secured our top targets they were Torres and Diaby, the last two signings were loans because they are cover for injured players.

I’d be surprised if another big money signing came in.

Same I think it’s safe to say that won’t be happening, a loan is the most likely but we just don’t seem to be getting linked with anyone, not strong links anyway. Someone on here did say some of the players we are interested in could be waiting for better  offers and will only come to us if those better offers don’t develop that’s quite feasible I guess.

Bailey plays as left footed right winger cutting in, Brennan Johnson would play other side as right footer cutting in off left.

That said, Emery wants that fluidity and flexibility up top.  Cash inverting inside Diaby yesterday a case in point.

Think we would all take Chiesa,  just not sure how realistic it is to get him?

In a heart beat, just not realistic currently lets see where we are at August 2024.

Twitter rumour mill saying Arse bidding £40m for Watkins, Liverpool £60m for Luiz.

Why do they think we bend over and accept that shit?

Unai is not that stupid! Besides £40m for Watkins that's laughable!

we are in a good place but 2 more quality additions would be the icing on the cake

When you say quality additions I'm guessing you mean as in walk into the first team quality? I really just don't see it I think if it wasn't for the Mings and Emi B injury I'd say we were done and we aren't getting linked to anyone of real quality anyway, the bench has looked weak but with those coming back from injury we suddenley look so much stronger.

That’s isn’t always going to happen though and could be the difference between winning and losing. Hopefully he gets up to speed quickly.

I'm pretty sure he will be fine, doubt Unai would have sanctioned buying a player he know very well if he wasn't going to be anthting other complete success.

Poor for their goal but some good passes. I’d prefer better defending tbh.

I don’t mind conceding if we are scoring 3 the other end, I think his pros outweigh his weaknesses.

If by that you mean his level right now as a 20 year old still developing I agree...

If you mean he'll stay there for the rest of his career I disagree, I'm not convinced he'll make it with us as I think we're moving forward at a pace that pushes past him but he'll end up similar to ohare I think

Its just a shame we didn't have all of this going on when we were relegated, feels like we would have done things completely differently

I think he has potential at championship level if he continues to develop.

  12. In the greater scheme of things the bench last night was a bit lightweight due to injuries add JJ, Ty, EMI B and Nicolò when he’s ready and it suddenly becomes very strong, pretty sure the long term injuries have made the club look at bringing in players but I don’t feel we will panic buy we’ll have targets but if we can’t bring them in on our terms we’ll wait. Also wonder if those long term injuries meant we needed to raise funds hence the young players we are seeing leave.

Hasn't scored yet this season, didn't have a great pre-season either, any game that could potentially get him off the mark is good with me. I'd be starting him. Can then hopefully rest him for the second leg.

Absolutely not! Watkins needs to be starting we need to get this tie over and done with today.

No chance Emery plays a 2nd team.

It was almost a miracle to finish 7th last season. We don't risk throwing that away at the first hurdle.

No chance whatsoever! Can't see wholesale changes to Sunday's team 2-3 players at most, should imagine we'll see a few changes should we be 3 up after an hour though resting key players for the weekend.
