So this is the response for being more realistic about how we operate as a club and fans it shows why we are in this position if fans like you are settling for whatever you get. I stated my opinions which should not be overlooked. I would welcome signings like rashica but not so much for traore or king is there anything wrong with that . Martinez would be welcome but theres a caution sign with that also we seem to think these signings will change the world. So im not trying to burst everyones bubble ,im just being realistic and i want us to not go through the stress we did last season.

Traore ,Watkins, Rashica and you guys are getting excited Traore is bang average why are we getting happy with seeing him in the side, hopefully he isnt the addition that we bring in. Martinez isn’t exactly this world class keeper that we think he is because he came from arsenal.. check his career history (not knocking him btw) but lets just be more cautious before we get too optimistic. Especially when i see on twitter the combo of watkins + rashica will get us europa league lets not embarrass ourselves. We seem to be drooling over these potential line ups which to me still we have us in the bottom half easily.

Unless we get a top quality AMC then i don't want us to play Grealish on the left . I would rather us get a dazzling LW and move Grealish into the central role across the middle. Rashica or Benrahma i feel it may be one of the two well i hope so as I'm not keen on anyone else we have been linked to.

Okay so you have more of a insight to his track record in the past which isn't of course the finished article of a player very much capable of showing he would certainly be a regular for a top half side IMO... mix that with games that you see him enthusiastic in and im sure you wouldn’t say hes worth bringing in. Certain players with the same talent id say no to but hes not a player that has this lazy attitude IMO or I would advise against it. I cant think of any other player that we could get at this current time with the same talent he has from any of those top clubs. He can also prove to everyone while playing for us what hes really capable of and hes only 25

@nick76 Just out of curiosity could you name any forward players with that versatility that you would prefer to Origi i’m just intrigued to what other options are currently better than him based on the price he is being offered for and the experience he has plus the age factor as he is only 25?

Yeah okay so you dont feel Origi would perform well at VP fair enough.. i cant see it myself based on how he can play he will do hundred times better than any of our current selection and can play Wing and centre forward which would be fantastic for us as we would get two in one. Benrahma would certainly be able to perform at this level so just like you im surprised nobody has launched a bid and ill be disappointed to see him go to another club other than us. Josh king doesn’t show any direction as far as im concerned it would not be a signing getting my stamp of approval but as you said its not our say so ill just wait and see what happens.

Thank you this is exactly whats needed as we cant bank on those throughout the season we will need options of the same or higher quality.

Mcginn is one of our best players however the last part of the season he didnt look like he was involved in most of them games and we could be gambling relying on him solely to come good again ... so id try and get a CM to compete with him not so much replace him in essence as i think Mcginn is a class player. I just think we can introduce him back in slowly as i dont want us to get murdered in the middle of the park. Even Luiz is risky as he was missing throughout the majority of the season .. we hope he continues where he left off and we shouldn’t write off nakamba he just needs coaching because he has the ability

Hes a sharp finisher got famous champions league goals against elite sides .. quick and energetic if hes starting every match do you seriously think we will have many problems in attack ... Yes id have Grealish further forward it isn’t exactly art school so it doesn’t look like it as much but yes id push him up. Benrahma or Rashica .. well it looks 70% probable that Rashica may very well be an official Aston Villa player by next week... i wont complain with that one but we still need a forward in and around that right hand side. Benrahma seems more built for the premier league in terms of physicality and flair mind you

Hause is nowhere near our best defender he’s probably the worst if anything.. he's a carabao cup player and nothing more .. konsa is not reassuring either but he got better but its still.a risk relying on him all season so we could do with some quality there. But we are spending silly money and it only bothers me if they turn around and say well we cant buy XYZ because we ran out of cash and thats why people on here should not say who cares about the money because its eating our budget for other players needed. Can someone please tell the board unless it’s Benrahma no more championship players please its killing me. We are fixated with that division. Exactly but this is how low some of our expectations are unfortunately its very depressing seeing how many are excited and even saying it would top off a excellent window if we added joshua king to the ranks Christ please open up their eyes. We now need a wide forward with top class finishing and a energetic pacy winger who can make great interplays across the middle and create opportunities.. and a Nzonzi type midfielder to battle it out for Mcginn’s spot.

And Matty Cash i guess he just landed at bodymoor heath off the radar too

Nobody should be disagreeing with you imo... there doesn’t seem to be any eagerness to get the right players especially with the links ... so we could be in for another rollercoaster if we dont play our cards right.. i haven’t given up but such is life

Academy and so called vision for the future yes it looks to be executed well .. as it stands with the transfer window not so well run . We have been scrappy and seemingly not as prepared as we would have liked .. there are 4 or 5 men out there trying to get it right and unlike last season our signings we seem to know about before it happens whereas last season there were no indications . Now everyone can have at go at me but im trying to be ambitious i just want to see us try for certain players for example a champions league winner in Origi is actually available if we put in a bid and may come to us hes scored goals in huge games for them and can actually play football unlike many that turn up at VP.. look abroad but not in the same vein as we did last year and see what we can find.

It is when you are not done buying players in the transfer window .. it is still open and we need players ... if our ambition is to keep saying it will be a great window if we get Cash, Watkins and buendia (like i keep seeing on here) then blimey we are really destined for trouble and need to understand we need a lot more just to push further up but im still keeping the faith(the little bit i have left) for us to do something more before it ends

Not at all your not getting old and that is close to the top player bracket Bruno Fernandes was not that far off its an insane amount of money and its a concern because it reduces our spending capacity in other areas thats why im more annoyed.

Also consider tammy will have played less amount of games as watkins likely will so we will keep it at 15!

Apologies... yes he would be around the same amount and i would have questions regarding that too but id feel more comfortable had it been Benrahma
