Good investment I'd say, seen as he has managed to finish above us most of the time, while spending a small franction of the ammount of money we ahve. I don't think Moyes is £7m better than Hughes. £7m is too much to pay for a manager when you could get Hughes for free. You can then use that £7m to spend on a player or player wages. £7 million is a lot. But I disagree I do rate Hughes (unlike quite a few on here) and would be happy if we appointed him as manager but i do think Moyes is a better manager. If its possible and we had to spend a bit getting him here that wouldn't worry me - tho yeh that figure is a lot. Its hypothetical tho.... Unless something pops up on BBC site or official site i will take ANY Moyes speculation with a pinch of salt . As I really cannot see him leaving Everton. He practically has become Everton.

Arteta seems to have faded away the last couple of seasons Yeh soon as he got that contract back then he seems to have not been quite the same.

Id prefer Moyes as well. But this "Hughes will ditch us the minute a better job becomes available" thing - i do not get. Ditch us for who exactly?? For a bigger club to be interested he'd have to be do amazingly well with us . Ironically enough reckon for a bigger club to be interested he'd probably have to be doing so well with us that we ourseleves were breaking top 4 or something. Thats something i cannot get worried about myself.

Moyes is ahead of Hughes no question - but would likely cost a lot to bring in Moyes and hes practically entwined into Everton itself . I just cannot see him leaving there. Id love if it he came here but cant see it. As for Hughes - he is imo an improving manager and available. And contrary to some opinion on here his sides do play attacking and fairly good football. I think his Man City experience has also given him a loit of incentive to prove himself.

Hughes blatantly does want the job. As for McClaren - IF the board rated him enough to interview they should have interviewed him . It is a bit meek of them to cancel because of his unpopularity but at same time i myself wouldnt want McClaren here

Well apparently we are not interested in Hughes at all either - from the official line and from ITKs. And Ancelotti ruled himself out as did Moyes before he went on holiday. Which does make you think WTF
