  1. Ignoring the fact hes a Bluenose manager his football is shit and hes giot them relegated twice despite the other shit in the league. That cancels out any league cup. Would be a disastrous appointment
  2. didn't they just sign Marlon King the other day? FFS surely theres no **** way McLeish would end up here??
  3. Thats exactly what i thought immediately when heard all this crap too But for some reason ...theres a slight "what if" nagging in my head happening now!
  4. i think Rijkaard could be a disaster tbh - would be a curious one albeit. Van Gaal is great shout. Moyes i just cannot see happening. Would be great tho. Hughes id be happy with and seems the glaringly obvious candidate imo. Would do well here i reckon.
  5. If it was done underhandedly then he would if were going through the right channels then no chance, whether they've said deal or no deal. Things are usually quite leaky at Everton. I think if we had contacted Everton in the right way you would have heard about it by now - and i dont mean just from a few dubious ITKs online. all imo of course.
  6. If we had contacted Everton by now about Moyes you can bet your life it would be everywhere by now. Bill Kenwright would have made sure of that .
  7. Martinez is the only one there definitely out. think its safe to say it wont be McClaren or Benitez either now
  8. time for a new poll? few those names can be safely rubbed out now ..and few names could be added
  9. Indeed, and it was nice to have Acorns on our shirt. But then we aren't Barcelona so winning will always take a back stage to Randy's nice man ego ****. We're not a charity, we're not a be nice to your fellow chairmen society. We're a never going to be successful, stagnant joke club. We need to know our place. **** it, there's a reason support has stagnated. We have our limits. **** this shit. bloody hell time to step away from the internet i think
  10. Presumptions there me thinks.. For instance I don't think a certain Niall Quinn or Steve Bruce would quite see us in that light... Blackpool and Holloway also seemed to enjoy our approach to things. Indeed! Had forgot about that. Think lot of ppl are making far too many pressumptions about stuff. Granted tho some of the clubs PR hasn't been good in the last year and a bit. Which ironically was a real strong point of our current owners not long ago.

  12. Serious OnlyOne you do seem criticise the board at any given opportunity I bet you don't even believe what youve just typed there in regards to McLeish.
  13. Young, Knowledgeable, great with bringing the youth through, has good connections in the game, Plays great football, worked with some of the best players in the world, wont require a massive budget, has the ability to build and play total football. Will modernise Villa, most likely have knowledge of some untapped youth coming out of Ajax and Europe. Also a manager thats likely to stick around. Er....Hang on Based on what? He did shit at Ajax and tahts about it. you saying hes better than the names mentioned above almost hint at a reversed snobbery -IE- anyone who is non British is better. Van Basten was great player but he certainly has done nothing to suggest hes a good manager as it stands and I dont even understand your last point
  14. van gaal would be pretty much the dream now ancelotti seemingly isnt interested. he takes no shit and commands respect, plays great winning football and the methology goes down the club while he may piss some people off, i would far rather that than see the likes of dunne take the piss again, or ireland taking the piss. those days would be over rather quickly. he has a vast knowledge and network internationally and is a world wide footballing figure and speaks several languages, which i guess helps if we had any signings who need to learn english ( gabby take note) Didn't do that great at Bayern . But yes Van Gaal would be a great appointment.
  15. @ steaknchips Why exactly are you rating Van Basten above Moyes , Coyle , Hughes ???
  16. They said Prem experience was important last year - i haven't heard them say anything regarding Prem experience this summer.
  17. Van Gaal is a good shout. Think Rijkaard could be a disaster - tho would be curious But Van Basten? Couldnt even get Ajax into the champs league
  18. i have unfortunately, we should have been all over him like flies round shit when GH had his health problems and ancelotti was sacked. but while there are still top quality managers floating around i refuse to stoop to the low levels of mark hughes the lowest standard we should be setting ourselves is moyes, a decent manager who has shown he can produce results on a yearly basis and keep a club the same level historically as us, in the top 7. he would have the added bonus of having a financially supportive owner who may be able to match moyes ambitions which are publically stated as being higher than 7th. moyes in my view would be the worst i would be happy with. so all this talk of unproven or average managers who havent proved anything from fans is quite eye opening. it seems expecations for our club have hit an all time low ? we have lots of positives which should have top managers at least having a double take over and with the persuasive tones coming from randy, i would hope he could win over someone of a decent calibre who will promoted the club in a positive light and bring back the success we all need. its an ideal chance to get a top manager, so why settle for meh? Like who tho? I would have liked Ancelotti here too but for whatever reasons he seemingly isn't interested , isn't an option. We'll have to agree to disgaree about Hughes. Comparing his time at Blackburn and Fulham to MON or Villa just doesn't make sense to me -it doesn't make sense on a lot of levels. I think he would do fine here and has likely to have learnt quite a bit from his time at Man City and still has a lot to prove and contrary to some opinions on here does actually have sides playing fairly decent attacking football . Either way his managerial credentials would be finally really tested here. I don't think its stooping low as you put it. Id be curious to knwo who you think we should be after . I mean id ideally want Hiddinck to manage us but aint going to happen.
  19. Oof. Sounds quite bitter. The McClaren thing if true was maybe bit meek but is he McClarens mate or something? Quite a scathing article.
  20. sums it up[ perfectly and factually. with BLACKBURN and FULHAM Two clubs who's main aim for a season is to avoid relegation. ? you dont follow football do you? would that have been blackburn who graham souness got to 6th? would that have been fulham who got to the europa cup final and finished 7th the season before that? it doesnt sound like their aim each season was to avoid relegation does it? man city? finished LOWER with a further £128 million spunked on them than Sven? oh dear. Ancelotti aint happening. get over it.
  21. Yeh. It's not exactly a veteran age in a managerial sense. Hughes got experience but like said hardly a veteran and still has lot to prove . Hes the obvious choice imo.
  22. Need a new poll really . A poll without McClaren , Benitez , Martinez , etc
