ramsey loses the ball
he trots back like some snail footballer hyrbid and doesnt even try to get back to correct his mistake.
they get a shot off and emi has to make the save, all while ramsey is jogging back like he has all the time in the world.
holy f thats not good enough, seriously not good enough.

wtf watkins
just pass it straight to the keeper.
wtf
-
its like they have 5 more players on the pitch.
what the f are we doing.
no movement, cant pass more than 5 yards, standing still like morons, mis placed passes.
seriously.....its so painful watching us at times.
-
omg watkins
-
we just have such a lack of in game intelligence.
We are trying to pass and move, look for space, and so many of them just stand still like morons.

omg, some of this passing is sunday league, frickin embarrassing stuff.
-
im sorry.
that is embarrassing.
Seriously, just Sunday league stuff.
Why do we always do this.

Blimey, even Purslow just admitted live on air, that Coutinho wouldnt have signed for Villa unless Gerrard was here, as he was the pull.
-
7 minutes added time in the Norwich/Everton game, yikes.
-
Watford equalise.
-
Coutinho on at 60 mins?

Richarlison, bicycle kick from 18 yards.

said it b4, and i say it again, looks to me like Toon will stay up.

i think Wood is actually a good signing for Newcastle, but its comical how desperate sky are to treat the signing as if they have signed Messi or something.
"Wood has 2 chances in first half", "Wood winning X amount of long balls", "Wood showing his strength in his first game", "Newcastle star Wood - how is he doing in his first game after big money move".
They are so desperate to jump on the Saudi Oil Train its pretty funny tbh.
-
wow, if Pukki was more committed there, it was 3-0.

Is he getting too big for his boots? Who knows?
It’s likely that he is being poorly advised too.
Imo, a loan would really benefit him. A long run of games in the Championship would really bring him on.
I think he’s slightly overrated, can be a little slow in possession at times and lose it easily against top level opposition. He’s still so young…
Needs to continue to learn and develop and iron out any deficiencies… the quality is certainly there but a bit of humbleness and dedication wouldn’t go amiss. I have no idea what the kid’s personality is like tbh but I’d like him to work hard and look up to Ramsey as an example…
he does seem on face value to either have an inflated opinion of himself, or he is being badly advised.
tbh tho, we havent helped, i think Purslow coming out publically in an interview and citing "one of the best young talents in Britain" probably hasnt deflated his ego or ensured his agents talk to us in a balanced way.
Even without my Villa goggles on, i can say this club is an excellent place for him to develop if he signs a new contract and gets his head down, but he does seem to want to run before he can walk.
If he does leave so be it, reminds me a little of Crowley, who's head was turned by Arsenal and he thought he was the next big thing.....and now he plays lower league at best, and even turned out for the SHA.
As many have said, many many players have mercurial talent and fall by the wayside, the challenge to making it at the top isnt actually the talent (ofc its a base to build from, but not what defines success), its the application and mindset to apply yourself and make the most of the talent you have in such a challenging environment that is a professional sport, to me currently......Chuka Jr seems to have the talent, but isnt showing the mindset.

tbh, im trying to not to get too carried away this season (positively or negatively - now i am confident we are on the right track under Gerrard), we will have ups and downs, im 99% certain we wont be dragged in to any sort of relegation battle, so for me this season is about developing our playing style, trying to get a solid mid table finish, getting some good signings in this window, then kicking on in the summer and having a great transfer window under Gerrard.
Add a good pre season to this with a Gerrard inspired bunch of signings in the summer, and i think next season could be really good.
That doesnt mean i would turn my nose up at a late European push this season if the miracle transpired, but i kinda get the feeling this season is about consolidating, developing and building ready for next season.
(and please please get Coutinho signed up permanently if he does show his ability - to have such a huge star here would be a huge statement - if he can find that level of performance this season)

I do think Manure are there for the taking.
Whether we can "do the taking" or do the Villa special of "rolling over like a puppy", who knows.
-
McGinn is suspended right?
Wonder who will take his slot.
-
no signing yet today?!?!
Simply not good enough!
-
does anyone know their FFP situation?
No hope of them getting docked Derby levels of points!?
