I think there's a good chance we will finish above the current top two in the WSL Leicester and Liverpool, I don't think we will get top four, we haven't heen helped the opening fixtures, difficult to gain any momentum early on, but I don't think we would have got top four anyway, but I think we can still challenge for top five, if we get that again it will have been an exceptional season, I was actually thinking Brighton might be our main challengers for best of the rest as they really did make some good signings, and managed to keep Katie Robinson.
Leicester's main goal this season is not to be in a relegation battle. A mid table finish would be a real achievement for us.

I agree. He's done little to win himself a starting position when he has come on.
He was awful in his last season at Leicester ! Rodgers liked him for some reason and played him every game but he was fat, slow and lazy & never looked like he cared. I'm not sure how he thought he was going to break into a Villa midfield

Well I put my money on Villa to win so don't let me down !! I think you have more than enough to beat Everton !!

I have to be honest ... I'm dreading this game !!!
We are struggling badly at the moment with Rodgers making crazy substitutions that really haven't helped us. Emery seems to have you playing well while Rodgers has us playing poorly !!
Hopefully we will have bought some more players before this game.
There is no doubt I my mind that you have the better manager .

We're quite jealous of you lot winning the league and FA cup
I think you'll be alright, although it's odd that Rodgers is still there as it definitely seems to have run its course. There was rumours that the club couldn't afford to pay him off- any truth in that you reckon or just Twitter bollocks?
It's become common knowledge that there are money problems with the club and our owner. I think they are hoping Rodgers can avoid relegation because paying him off is a problem. I wouldn't be surprised if to see some kind of mutual arrangement made in the Summer.
Our owners fortune comes from duty free shops in Thailand and Covid travel restrictions have really impacted them

Southampton and Everton both resembling us before our eventual relegation, wouldn't be surprised if both of them went down. I think Wolves will be OK. Also reckon Forest will get their reward for sticking with Cooper and stay up
I agree that sticking with Cooper could be the difference for Forest. I am worried for Leicester though right now & have very little confidence in Rodgers. I am quite jealous of you guys getting Emery.

You are right. The refs should take more control. For example, they should be the ones holding the ball and giving it to the taker.
Any messing around from the keeper, book them, they won't continue doing it then will they.
The players will do whatever they can to win but it is up to the governing bodies to install the rules and ensure that they are enforced. What is allowed changes from league to league let alone countries and tournaments

I think you maybe following the wrong game, this sort of thing has existed at every level in every game probably since football started but certainly since the 80s and onwards as I've heard and seen it even at the very low level I played at.
The fact that it's prevalent doesn't make it right !

before playing us they had only lost 1 in 10, so they werent doing too bad.
Not too bad but a long way from being a powerhouse. They are missing Varane in defence & struggling at striker with Ronaldo playing poorly.

Don't think we stand much of a chance unfortunately. Hopefully we can keep it respectable.
I am very surprised by your opinion on this game. I don't see it that clearly & feel the game could go either way. Man U are still a work in progress under ETH & a very inconsistent.

Cant hope for too much as the new manager will only have about 4 days with the players. If we can keep their score down to about 10 then we should be ok.
I expect the players to be fired up after 4 days training with Emery & will give Manure a very tough game. Remember that Maguire will start for them & he always has at least one big mistake in him.

Credit to Howe, he's got that starting XI punching above its weight.
It's what good managers do rather than make excuses !

Lots of similarities !!!
Both are arrogant and stubborn. I wouldn't wish Rodgers on you after a year of Gerrard !!
Nobody deserves that.

As an outsider looking in, he seems to have done well for Leicester. An FA cup win is not to be sniffed at, many on here would give their right arm to win that one.
It looks like he is starting to get results now this season, so I think Leicester will start to climb the table now.
He inherited a good team & has slowly made it worse. His style of football is a slow & possession based which is brutal to watch & he builds vendettas against certain players & refuses to play them. He does not promote youth & is an egotistical prick. But other than that, he's ok.

You are more than welcome to take the smarmy little creep but you will regret it in a couple of years..

It depends if the Juventus job is an option he isn't picking villa over Juventus is he,. That would just not happen, we are not comparable to Juventus in any way except wages we may pay.
I agree.. Juventus is a big deal. I think Villa is the perfect club for him though but it sounds like he's waiting for the 'big job'

I didn't say his only option was the premier league. He would have options in Italy etc
I agree but let's be honest , the Premier League is the big draw for most top managers !!

Just can't see us having the clout to get Pochettino, Tuchel or Emery. They all have better options.
It will be Rodgers or Frank I think. Hope I'm proven wrong.
What other options are there for Pochettino if he want to return to the Premier League ?
I honestly think Villa is a great match up for him ...

Gerrard didn't do any wonders at Rangers. Beale did.
The Gerrard project officially ended the day Beale went to QPR.
I totally agree ! Beale was the brains all along.
Gerrard was just the front man that the press loved.

As a Leicester fan I will add that when he was playing well he was absolutely brilliant ! He was never speedy but his positional sense & passing made up for his pace ! His last season at Leicester was not great but I felt that a move & a new manager might rejuvenate him. Maybe Unai can turn him around & get his best game back.
