I’m still hoping for the return of Slippy G to his dream club. What a welcome he’d get. First game Villa Park, would be a bonus!!!😂

Or are the powers that be at LFC not that daft??

Arne Slot favourite for the Liverpool job now.  I really thought they'd be aiming a bit higher than an inexperienced Portuguese manager and a Dutch league manager.  Their crash next season will be glorious 🤣

I haven't watched it but I assume its more of his self serving ego maniac nonsense. He's a grade A ****.

That’s exactly his intention even if he didn’t manage it and to a large degree was held to account in this particular interview, well done to both of the Talksport interviewers in this one!!

Plenty of overrated managers, de Zerbi, Kompany and the big, whingeing fraud at Man C115y.

But as far as UNDERrated managers go, I think Arreola has done amazing work at Bournemouth. Man United/Liverpool could do a lot worse.

Exactly I’m all for overhyping anyone but Unai right now. An amazing appointment by Nas at a time when he wasn’t hyped in the media at all. Keep it under the radar thankkyou very much. It suits us and Unai, who excuses quality, modesty and class, in everything he does. UTV!!!!

Last week I've watched Danny Murphy and Wes Brown on podcasts talking about the same thing.

How difficult is It to turn earn 50k a week and buy a nice house and put the rest in savings accounts.

"If I have a 10, 15 year career at this level I'll have only have earned 10m - 15m net. I need to make some high risk investments!"

You should walk a mile in a man’s shoes before judging him, is the old saying that comes to mind in these circumstances and plenty of other circumstances too.

Smart thinking by the club again, build the atmosphere, make the players feel good and get people inside the ground to spend money with the club rather than elsewhere, wins all round for the club. UTV!!! Scrub my 4-0 prediction let’s make it 6-0 at fortress Villa!!!!

Welcoming for our players and intimidating for theirs too! Like the plans for the players tunnel on to the pitch. We want Villa Park to be a nightmare for visiting teams but a dream for us. Lots of teams like to come to Villa Park, that needs to change. Many years ago I read in a popular lads football magazine, which did players featured like , worse away ground etc and at the time a prominent Man U player, can’t remember his name, had Villa Park as the stadium he didn’t like going to most, because The stands were close to the pitch and “there was a huge stand at one end, which was frightening!” We call it The Holte End and this was when it was a single all standing terrace. Those were the days, I think this was in the 70s before Sky invented football but that’s what we need Villa Park to feel like for the opposition from the minute they arrive and start worrying about it from the time the fixture is announced, like anfield used to be and that was largely psychological mumbo jumbo!! A lot of it worked though. Make our players feel like super humans and make our opponents feel like they’re being lead to the slaughter!! In recent years lots of people, from other teams, name Villa Park as their favourite away ground, that needs to change, because of what happens on the pitch, they can still have a nice experience visiting a big famous club before they witness the expected and standard drubbing handed out by the mighty Villa, which is the team they came to see anyway!!  The best experience of the season, despite the result, is what we want them to take away with them!! “5-0 on you big day out!” You know the type of thing I mean. 😭

Didn’t he score against us last time?

I am worryingly confident which usually means we should expect something bad to happen on Saturday.

I’m happy to draw some confidence from your lack of confidence. They’ve hit some form but we’ve got plenty of form and momentum on our side too. Leon to play a blinder in a 4-0 victory, let’s start enjoying the run in to a brilliant season. Another brace or possibly more from Ollie!! UTV!!!!!!!

I really don't think the West Ham squad is very great, a well regarded manager would be risking their repuation by taking that job unless there's scope to rebuild big time, Moyes got them doning well as the players suit his old fashioined rugged tactics, similar to Howe at Newcastle.

Although Lopetegui has apparently been waiting for PL job after turning down Saudi offer, so maybe he would take it, again if he can spend, as saw what happened at Wolves when he wasn't able to at Wolves

They've also been linked with Tuchel.

If Newcastle sack Howe he would probably be a good fit for West Ham squad and seems the type their owners like, having appointed Bruce, McLeish, Allardyce, and Moyes twice in their time.

Ornstein saying West Ham are in talks with Amorim, and Lopetegui being considered to replace Moyes next season.  Both would be good for them reckon, play better football than Moyes.  Be funny seeing the scousers lose Amorim to West Ham 🤣

It’s time for Slippy G to ride to the rescue with Hendo on the back of the horse and coach Rooney alongside them to help! Soccerball’s coming home!!!

Klopp down now we just need to get rid of that whinging prick Pep.  It’s incessant, football has been like this since the 50s only the top flight has less teams in now.

Why doesn’t he focus his ire on the upcoming UEFA expansion?

He probably sees it as an opportunity to spend even more money and a justification to spend it. Loads of cash but no class I wouldn’t swap him for Unai or anyone else including the Colgate advert who read the same bumper book of excuses he got in his Christmas stocking from the PL a couple of years ago. As Villa manager Unai doesn’t get any Christmas presents from those in charge since 1992, he found a copy when he was at Arsenal but it was all in French so used it to level his office table, Arteta has searched high and low for it since he walked through the door and after last weekend’s game begged Unai to tell him where it was and had he seen the Spanish translation as he couldn’t read French even though he’d found Wenger’s original copy under a table leg but since taking it the table had gone very wonky……. although he could understand the diagrams but after a while he needed more help and Pep won’t tell him.  Not even for £1.5 billion as he’s a purist that doesn’t care about money although he’s had offers from a bloke claiming to be from Liverpool but he couldn’t have been as he wore a blue shirt, another fella who asked did have a red shirt but wrong accent and a man from the FA  told me they’d had problems in the past from his predecessor and they we’re working on sorting them out as well as the man in blue’s team but under no circumstances should I ever speak with anyone with a darker red shirt, like you’re wearing Unai, he said that your club has had the European Cup stolen more often than my club has ever won it, definitely not to be trusted with abything shiny, he also said that your team had lost the original FA Cup and think they have a plan to prevent your club from ever winning anything again but you’d made them very concerned recently and you must be stopped, I really tried  but it was too difficult!

Southgate was simply in the right place at the right time

Right place at the right time for him, I’d agree, wrong as far as Englands chance of ever winning anything or playing decent football anytime while he stays in the job. The man is such a poor manager, he’s got BCFC written all over him. He stinks of failure, therefore a natural for the job. No PL club with any ambition would touch him with a barge pole. Perfect choice for them after coach Rooney, only Slippy G would be worse or funnier! We’ll possibly not much worse but that’s the level he’s at.

Budget squad builder Pep crying now about the schedule. clearing in the woods wanted 5 subs yet rarely uses them

Master tactician Pep has solved his schedule crisis by getting knocked out of the CL and being immune to FFP that won’t be a problem either, well no more than playing in front of a half empty stadium despite their domestic dominance. If I didn’t know better I’d be inclined to think that the people who administer the game these days are crooks. Thankfully I’m not cynical at all……………..

Unfortunately, all those trophies have an asterisk beside them because of their cheating.  Hopefully if their charged they have the balls to strip them of their titles.

Whilst I agree, the wailing from the Red Scousers to give the titles to them and Kloppity will be worse the PL will have to give all the points to them drip fed when they need them, almost certainly against us the FA will Chuck in a couple of FA Cups too including a replay of the 2015 semi final in which they will be given a 6 goal lead, if they think that’s enough. Then they’ll replay the final so the BBC  can break the record for Klopping off during a football match with the Slippy G cup final. There’ll be no end to this mess that the PL has started but we should of course be eternally grateful to them for inventing the game in 1992 after the horrors of 1981 and 82 which the BBC will happily cancel and rewrite over a year or two!!

I love his personality.....it defines him.

His ambition is clear, and it derives from his love for the club.

I must admit, I am not particularly emotional, but when he answered a question about how your team mates, feel about you.....He said they " need me " Oh dear that touch me.

He said he loves his team mates and the club....he is a top, top man.

My grand kids met him at Ashen Farm, nr BMH, he was with his kids.....and they said he was charming.

This guy is a top, top keeper....best in the world? not sure....but he's one of them......but his personality is off the scale.

I have been irked over the years of our " Mr Nice Guy " tag and Emi Comes along, and rips it up......The critics can go **** themselves.

One of the best buys, we have ever made.

I couldn’t agree more. The difference in the personality of wanting to win and making sure that you win is huge Emmi epitomises being a winner regardless of the situation he’s in. We’re lucky to have him and hopefully this runs off on more of our players, I think our manager and the coaches already have it but you can never have too much of it. I’ve seen us lose lots of matches we should have won against teams that weren’t as good as us, last night was a huge psychological shift, which I think Gerrard was hinting was necessary but has no idea how to do it, along with his many other faults. He could do it on the pit it had no idea how to teach others how to do it. Last night our elite GK was doing elite GK stuff and our manager was doing elite manager stuff. We’re getting there now, it may have taken a while but finally the light at the end of a dark tunnel is much brighter than it has been for many years. Having been on the same journey as me for a similar amount of time, I’m sure you understand what I mean. We perhaps can stop banging our heads against the wall for a while and enjoy the next chapter as much as those we enjoyed all those years ago, on a good morning, with the sunshine beaming down up here in The Highlands, it can feel like it was only yesterday. A warm May day in Athens won’t be too dissimilar to a warm day in May 22 years ago!! UTV!!!! and look after yourself, we’ve got an FA Cup to win too!!!

Any news on punishment of Lille for failing to prevent their fans throwing stuff on to the pitch all night??
