Unfortunately I think we will get beat here and I think Vardy will be the main difference - They battered us twice in the league last season and he scored half of their eight goals in those matches - I'm just not convinced we will be able to stop him (again).
How do teams even stop Vardy? The only team who I get the impression he always struggles against is Wolves but I don't know if that's just a psychological bogey team type thing.

Gareth plays with 3 centre backs and 2 holding midfielders.
He's only done that for the last 3 games, in the Iceland game and before we played 4 at the back. He doesn't really have a footballing philosophy strong enough to actually describe as far as anyone can tell.
IMO Grealish could thrive in any system if given a fair chance.

Jamie Redknapp has said that Mount can be England's Kevin De Bruyne. I wonder if Southgate will shoot that down as quickly as the Grealish/ Gascoigne comparisons.
Ah well yes, as you can see from the table below, Mount's stats stack up very well to KDB, especially when you consider he was playing in a weaker team.

Forget just saving that, I know a guy who would've caught it

Yeah I read his Wikipedia too
Still never heard of him

He's on the bench again behind some bloody old codger who's never even played in Europe.
For all I know Franco Armani could be the second coming of Lev Yashin but I'm still going to curse the name of whatever Argentinian Southgate equivalent is picking this team.

Is that former Villa youth man Rob Edwards managing the Welsh?
Think it's a different one, Wiki reckons our one is managing England U16s

As far as I'm aware:
Schmeichel (Denmark)
Soyuncu, Under (Turkey)
Evans (N Ireland)
Castagne, Tielemans, Praet (Belgium)
Barnes (England)
Iheanacho (Nigeria)
So that's 9 players, of which 6 (I think) will definitely start against us. We have six senior internationals on duty I believe, 4 will definitely start against Leicester. So not too much difference but we're a bit more fortunate in that players like Barkley and Trez didn't get called up on this occasion (in Trez's case I'm not sure why but I think Egypt aren't playing in October).
The new CB they bought is also in the U21s for France. Not sure Amartey is in the Ghana squad as well but I'd assume so.

All of Leicester's first XI other than Vardy are current internationals. Pereira and Ndidi are already injured so they didn't travel but the rest did AFAIK.
Soyuncu seems to have picked up a knock playing for Turkey as well so that's potentially three of their best defensive players out.
Seems like other than Vardy, Mendy and Justin (the fill ins for Pereira and Ndidi) everyone who will play against us has travelled.
The only disadvantage we'll have in this area is we have two South Americans that have travelled further and played in the middle of the night.
Edit - Unless Maddison is back fit, he didn't travel either.

Let's not get injuries then. Problem solved.
I don't think the PL allow you to just cancel your games against Burnley that easily.

what a load of bollocks this article by Nick wright of skysports https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12016/12101756/mason-mount-justifies-inclusion-over-jack-grealish-as-england-beat-belgium. Guess Grealish can only keep performing at the very high level he has and its up to Southgate whether he wants to select Mount over him Could cost him his job eventually.
The most annoying thing about all this is that Mount and Grealish could very easily play together and there would be room if we played 4-3-3 instead of this 5-2-1-2 abomination.
Sadly though, a very soft penalty, a very deflected shot and 5 bad misses by Carrasco have meant that our outcome-oriented, nonanalytical media are describing this as "vindication" for Southgate and his flawed system.

Please don't let us lose, I don't think I could handle all the "bielsa is the Lord almighty walking on water turning shit in to wine hes the mentor of Pep the Great and king poch the master of the game and the man who taught Einstein about science and painted the mona lisa and invented the wheel and created sliced bread".........
And all that crap.
I mean damn, yeah he's a good manager but blimey the media jerking off is really bordering on fetishism.
Even if we beat Leeds the media will give Bielsa the credit for inspiring us to beat Leeds by coaching Leeds in such a brilliant perfect magical way. Truly a master of the game.

12 goals in 24 at CF looks good to me
Transfermarkt have him down as 70 games, 38 goals, 11 assists at CF over his whole career as well. Goal involvement every 100 minutes is nothing to sniff at. Seems like he's very well versed in playing in the centre of a front 3.

Jairo Riedewald, still on the Palace books amazingly
He actually played a few before lockdown when PVA was injured IIRC. No idea he was still there before that either.

Next tier of opposition? What tier is above 5 goal involvements against one of the best teams in the world?

To be honest, even from an English perspective, having Jack sit out as we hopefully get hammered by enough to get Southgate the sack and be replaced by someone with any pedigree at all will be most conducive to both England's success and the progression of Grealish at international level

Never a truer word spoken. Burdening players with comparisons and tags. Southgate frowns on it.
It's just... He has no integrity. It's the worst thing I can say about anyone.

Someone with a club management career that wasn't an unmitigated disaster for a start. I wouldn't mind Eddie Howe but I'd prefer Potter.

Not for years I don't think. I went when I was a little kid in the nineties, met the players and everything. Southgate was very polite, if only I'd known then what a little turd he'd turn out to be

I think Wu-Tang Clan used this model to sell one of their albums. Makes as much sense as expecting us to pay £15 per game
