I see Brendan Rodgers auditioning for a job out there already, standing up against the the woke mob morality officers

Antony surely has to be suspended now.
They really are a haven for scumbags.

Welcome to see in Birmingham today
Here in Ireland the far right were defeated in Cork today too as they are running an anti library campaign but we're hugely outnumbered. People need to organise and confront these scumbags at every opportunity.

This game didn't change anything but Ferguson is the next £100m+ sale for Brighton. He's serious.
Bohemians will rebuild Dalymount Park from the sell in clause alone. It is a real pity we didn't sign him, it was obvious when he was 14 that he was potentially special as he didn't look out of place playing a friendly against Senior Chelsea players.

The Liverpool game could well turn out to be one that burst their bubble. Good to see for now but they will have to replace Howe at some stage to get back their momentum.

As overrated as I think poch is this isn't a manager problem
Yeah Potters reputation will probably recover this season too, it is just a very stupidly run club at the moment.

Mudryk reminds me of Alan O'Brien if anyone remembers him, great pace but so limited otherwise.

With corrupt despotic states involved in football now it is very fertile ground for corruption in officialdom. Decisions like that today helps create more suspicion.

I swear there is beef between the saudis and Liverpool, pool have been on the wrong end of so many of the saudi's big moves, and Salah on deadline day smacks of a power play by those dirty arrogant head choppers
They are doing Liverpool a massive favour by paying a fortune for once great players with too many miles on the clock and massive wages. O
If Liverpool were clever though they would have had our Diaby bought to replace Salah.

Might be wishful thinking but it would be nice if Dortmund fans might organise a decent protest display over the Saudi ownership. German fans can have a bit of backbone.

Surprised he hasn't been called up to the northern Ireland senior squad, if he was at man city or man utd he'd be capped by now.

Erling Haaland was still playing for Molde when he was that age, therefore Duran can be better than him.
-
How is he doing tonight? Mad that he is now playing European football when he struggled to make an impact at Grimsby last year.

It always amazes me how many people can't spot when someone's clearly a good player, but just underperforming because they're in a very dysfunctional side, or even having bad luck.
Our own players under Gerrard are a good example.

They get away with absolute murder with fouling and yellows.
They have the referees bought this season.

Not confident but hopeful.

Arteta last season was a fluke, they have built a good young squad but their form last season went to Mikel's head and he has gotten too clever for his own good playing without any fullbacks. Last season they had a lot more balance with Xhaka and Zinchenko on the left, while Ben White was surprisingly effective on the right outside Saka.

We need to stop Josh Cullen having any influence on the game as he is their hearybeat, hopefully McGinn can slot in centrally and bully him there as he is a bit lightweight at this level.

Is it just me or has villareport become a much worse aggregator in the past few months? The style has changed (different person running the account?) and now stuff is being quoted from extremely dubious sources: El Nacional are absolute bullshitters, the Spanish Football Insider (honestly worse). It's a bit annoying because they used to be pretty much the only Villa news aggregator who didn't post any old crap from absolutely garbage sources for interactions.
The blue tick at fault

Our best player! So cool and collected £15m was a steal, surely Brazil must play him. He oozes class.
I know he fully deserves it but from a very selfish Villa point of view it will be good to keep him fresh during the international breaks.

I like McPhee throwing shade on Gerrard there, fully justified.

When he was struggling for Solihull I doubt many would have ever expected we would get £18m for him less than 3 years after. Wish him all the best.

We missed the boat there, he should have been our Grealish replacement.

I still don't really get why they ripped up a team that finished top 4 and recently won a CL to replace it with a load of gambles. Sure the likes of Kante were getting older and probably needed replacing but they pretty much have a new squad. I understand they're going for young players with potential but they're not guaranteed to reach it and there doesn't seem enough experience around them (Silva excepted). For £1BN I would have expected a much higher calibre of player too. Now it might all come good eventually but you can't say it isn't a huge gamble.
An element of it works in Football Manager therefore it must work in real life. I really hope they fail again this season.

After Dier there is nobody apart from Ben Davies (probably the most uninventive full back in the league) They have a young Estonian international in their u21s who might be good enough to step up too.
