  1. Dropping like flies over at DAZN. Okolie first and now Buatsi deflected to boxerr and sky. Hearn not telling the true story. Said Buatsi was offered over a million to fight Bivol. He was. Buatsi confirmed though that it came with a caveat. Had to sign with Hearn for 3-4 more fights. Buatsi basically confirmed what we all thought too and many of his stable are getting worried about  - stuck behind an app that STILL nobody knows much about. They overestimated this venture. Said DAZN would be the netflix of boxing. Boxing is a niche sport. It’s not football. I love boxing but it is a niche sport. Unless DAZN wins a PL rights package, i don’t see how it survives. You can’t have an app just dedicated to boxing and matchrooms other shite sports .

  2. Been watching Tim Tszyu for a while now. Obviously got a leg up because of the name and who his dad was but ive took notice since the Horn fight. Beat a top 5 junior middleweight in Tony Harrison and in style. Was supposed to fight Charlo in January but got postponed because Charlo got injured. Charlo be favourite but Tszyu a very live dog in that fight. Probably summer time it happens.

He can but that's just a lucky shot. Usyk will, imo, target Furys body and wear him down. Fury has only just started training  for this fight and it's a little more than 6 weeks away, I see big problems for him and i think Usyk knows it, hence the small purse.

My point was he hurt him and Cunningham is probably even a bit smaller than Fury.

  4. For the folk who think Usyk hasn’t a chance against Fury, consider this. Steve Cunnigham put Fury down, and hard !! A career cruiserweight. Arguably the last really skilled fighter he fought. Usyk is technically very proficient. This notion that he’d barely tickle Fury is naive. Could hurt him.

  5. Tony Yoka is literally the french Audley Harrison. Big tv deal since pro debut with the state broadcaster, fought exclusively in France. It’s Audley on the Beeb X2. And he’s not very good. Takam is old and been beaten a good few times. Yoka beaten by Bakolie too.

  6. Highlights a shamolic system that is the World Cup draw. Draw done almost 2 and a half years out from the WC. England have got quite a favourable draw. If the draw was now or even last autumn their ranking would be significantly lower and would be in a tougher group.

The club put up the assistant manager to contractually comply

Well yeah, i didn’t mean a total club blackout. BBC wouldn’t say for instance be happy having boa morte in front of them instead of silva. Tindall instead of Howe etc. The viewer is “ who are they “ Anyway, getting ahead of ourselves. This could go the other way too and get sorted out.

I'm pretty sure the BBC only send their own cameras to a few games e.g. for the games that were on Sky or BT, Match of the Day just use the same coverage but with their own commentary over the top and the BBC do games that weren't live on British TV.  The international feed is based on the same coverage.  At least that's the way it used to be done.  It would be interesting if BBC cameramen refused to turn up so games weren't covered at all.

Yeah its the one feed, the same highlights we see on bbc is the same footage Optus sport, Bein, BT, NBC get. Getting commentary from an international feed could now be a problem for them.

He’s absolutely right too, it’s not hyperbole. They can. I watched Villa - Palace last week on Optus sport. No studio. It picked up the commentary from just before kick off and the start of the second half from an international commentary feed. But…….just thinking - why would commentators on an international feed give permission for the BBC to use their commentary if their own commentary took this stance ? Surely, it’s the same for them. They won’t want to be associated with them either. The BBC underestimated the trickle down effect this would have.

Well it's all subjective but for me there are more accomplished ones; David Jones on Sky, Pougatch, Gabby Logan, Balding, Hazel Irvine. With Lineker it just seems a lot more obvious that he's reading off an autocue, but I'll admit my judgement of him is clouded by my annoyance at him not being able to sit still in his **** chair!

I think he’s decent. If it did become a situation where the post became vacant if im the BBC, im making an insane offer to Kelly Cates . I think herself and Lineker are the 2 best anchors in football. David Jones is good too.

    Looks likely.

Not surprising. Would likely trickle all the way down. Nobody would wanna touch this. Highlights without commentary is not unprecedented but would feel very odd. No tone. Can’t generate excitement. The visual would do me fine but on tv - it just doesn’t work.

  12. Fury called his bluff and the very same day Usyk came back with this 👌👏 Love it. Agree with you sheepy, it’s not a particularly fun fight entertainment wise but both are the top guys in the division. I’d definitely watch it. Like Inoue, going straight up to bantamweight and fighting Fulton. Best fighting the best in division is all you can ask for.

  13. I know MOTD is like a quintessential part of British culture and it was huge growing up and the only way you could watch highlights, but i wouldn’t lose much sleep if it was ever pulled these days. For the last 3 years I’ve watched all the 3pm kick off highlights on a Saturday at around 6 on the sky sports app. Modern punditry is gash. The carragher, neville, Keane stuff is purely comedic tv. Doesn’t add value or make me think differently about the game.
