Im sure jedinak is feeding back how well archer is doing to unai emery

Id be stunned if we cashed in seeing him as one of the best young english prospects out there

So would i but it all boils down to does he keep Watkins ( or another incoming striker, nobody knows Emery’s thought process on that ) out - and i don’t think he does. Will stunt his development going back to getting minutes on the bench here next season. Then there’s Duran!.  Best case scenario - Boro get promoted and we loan him to them next season and he’s playing premier league football.

This is the reason I wouldn't sign a new striker this summer, we HAVE to give some minutes to him to properly assess him in our system in the Premier League, our new lad also needs some minutes.

Dammed if ya do, dammed if ya don’t kinda situation. The people calling for Archer to get game time next season are the same who’ll be going apeshit if we don’t sign a marquee striker this summer.

In this case, ideal scenario would be Boro get promoted, and take him on loan again.

We get to see if he really has what it takes to be a PL forward, and he gets games.

Depending on how that goes, we should ther take him back, or sell him for good.money

Id rather him him here but as you've said, he will be wanting to play now and you can't really begrudge him.

That would be ideal. I remember something similar with Bamford. Had clearly outgrown and was too good for the championship yet not good enough to play for Chelsea. Had a couple of ( disastrous ) loan moves then to other PL clubs. But yeah, if Boro come up or wouldn’t be averse to seeing him go to Burnley or Sheffield United either for a year.

  4. He challenges Watkins and Duran for the starting birth next season. 3 into 1 don’t go. Loaning him to a championship club next season is pointless and a hard sell to him too. He’s lighting it up with a team in 3rd. For as much as we are all impressed by him, nobody knows how Emery rates him. Personally i don’t see him starting for us next season, i actually think we’ll go into the market again. And with his age, momentum and how active he’s been at Boro i don’t think he’s going to want to go from that to “ minutes “ here - and it would be . Unpopular opinion, he’ll have a great career - but i don’t think it will be here.

Yeah there's no chance of a good atmosphere tomorrow. The 12:30 kick off, whilst a ball ache for the travelling fans, will definitely play into Newcastle's hands with everyone just out of bed and hardly any pre match drinking.

It’s no excuse really. Majority of Newcastle fans are probably on buses leaving at 7 am tomorrow morning so they’re probably up at all hours.

Lets make it difficult and hostile for them like they did at sty james.

Lucky fir them we have mounting injuries so we are not at our strongest like they are.

Guimares is playing wigh a ankle injury i think we need to be going in hard on him and dont give him a chance.

Im hoping ollie feels he has something to prove after what happened there when he missed a golden opportunity to put us in front

Our home support at times ( definitely for the 12.30 kick offs , has been far too tepid ) very reactive, the fans need to see something to make noise. It will need to be very hostile and noisy tomorrow. Any gain we can get over them at all we need to take it.

  7. I’m not angry he hacked the Chelsea lad down, needed to be be fouled but he was running at such speed that a little flick to the ankle might of sufficed to halt him. More pissed off that he did an over elaborate tackle and **** himself up in the process.

They are not shite. They are 3rd for a reason. This will be an incredibly hard game.

They are very good but i don’t subscribe to this narrative that some have put around that we should almost fear them. I’m sorry but they’ve won nothing. May very well and in all probability will win the league in a few years. They’ve been in one cup final and lost and 3 places higher than us in the league. Again, class team - but some are talking about them like they’ve rattled off 3 leagues in a row. Get ourselves right for next Saturday and let them do them.

  9. Said it on these pages a few years ago , wish we’d went for Hickey when he left Hearts. Think it was 2 million he went to Bologna for. I’d say if you aren’t starting at 30 million now, Brentford wouldn’t even entertain it.

It’s kinda shocking though with what he’s achieving nobody at the club can pitch in for a tub of itching cream for the boss.

  11. I can’t believe how much the boxing world thinks Haney beating Lomachenko is a sure thing. This will be a really tough fight for him. Let’s look at facts. Far too much stock was placed in Lomachenko’s loss to Lopez and Lopez’s loss to Kambosos. Hype went into overdrive with Kambosos ( Haney’s best win ) and it seems EVERYTHING that happened before is forgotten. The fact Kambosos needed two SD to beat lee selby and mickey bey. Haney getting badly hurt and having difficulty with Linares. Yes, Lopez beat Loma fair and square but to suggest he isn’t a live dog in this fight is absurd. Easily the highest ring IQ Haney has been in with. I’d be shocked if he pissed this.

If that one happens we've got a great set of fights coming up; Tank-Garcia, Haney-Lomachenko and then Spence-Crawford would be a fantastic run.

Inoue - Fulton too. To the casual means nothing but elite level trade fight. Inoue could lose - a sign of how highly Fulton is rated.

  13. Is Emery gonna have Keegan interview between now and the end of the season “ ya can tell him we’re still fighting for this and he’s gotta go to Middlesbrough and get something and I’ll tell ya, i would love it if we beat them, love it “ 😂

Forest are not total mugs and need to be respected.

If we are 0-0 at halftime, then so be it. I have patience. I just want the 3 points, be they gained ugly or emphatically. Its all about the points.

My worry ( as always with Villa - built in mechanism ) Forest have obviously had a scatter gun approach with signing players and it hasn’t quite come together but they’ll rock up here and you just know they’ll click. Respected yes but table doesn’t lie either. They are were they are thus they can be got at.
