if the seating map is accurate and all tickets have been released only about 1k left

Was anyone in that packed away end at swindon in 87/88 , waiting for results from elsewhere , as they say the rest is history

Really surprised they've done this bullshit again. It was the same for the playoffs and I think it's absurd. If you're higher in the queue, you should get your pick of seats.
I benefited from it last time, got a great seat smack on the half way line in the middle tier, I think it was a category a seat when I only had a few game booking history. While some season ticket holders who got there late for their wave ended up right up top because that was all that was left for them and they had to either settle for a worse seat, or take their chance fighting for a better seat with fans with a worse booking history.
It's not a fair system at all.
completely agree , ive bought poor tickets in the past only for better ones to be released after.

Looking at the seating plan, it looks like there are around 700 left in the lower tiers now and just over 5,000 in the upper tier, although there may be a couple of blocks that haven't yet been released in the upper tier..
I think the first wave of buying is pretty much done - those numbers haven't moved much in the last day or so - so the next interesting bit will be next Tuesday when around six thousand newer season ticket holders get their stab at it.
By next Wednesday, those with memberships should have a very clear indication of their chances.
avfc support tweeted last night that the seats are released in waves , so its difficult to get a true picture of whats sold. I'm not sure they have gone as quickly as expected

£2 booking fee per ticket + £2 postage a bit of a rip of thats and extra £10 for me

We are parking in the stanmore area , paying to park on a private drive then tube to the game and back , no way we would go on train again , last year was awful even at 8am
-
Our away form will sink us , if we need a result at west ham on the last day , i don't think we would get it.
-
At one time going back a few years it was tradition to happen after the last game of the season , prob died off in the 90 's at some point

Yes of course, because there is nothing in between assaulting opposition players and not celebrating at all
And the evidence a player has been assulted?

Maybe we should just behave like man city and not celebrate at all , lets get it in perspective , leicester fans were fighting with the police , man city and man u throwing chairs at each other , but we make the headlines. In other news when Shrewsbury celebrated a draw the same way , it was labelled as great scenes.

watched him for the u23 a few weeks back , certainly didn't stand out too much , but popped up with 2 goals , not a bad trait to have. Don't think he would have the physicality at PL level at this moment.

not long to go until the club can use the old " it was always going to be difficult to make signings with us being 6 points from safety with only 12 games remaining" excuse

Really? The owners spent £120 million just 6 months ago and we won promotion to the Premier League just before that... things seem so much better than the end of the Lerner days to me.
I’m normally a pessimist, but if we get a striker, which we will, then we’ve every chance of staying up.My concern is that we have a very tough run in , for me if we dont win 3 out of the next 6 we will probably be relegated. It was obvious we needed a striker weeks ago , yet we are 3 days away from playing another game without a striker

doesn't feel a million miles away from the end of Randys tenure to me

Fernando Llorente?

time for the owners to do something , if we get relegated they could loose 100's of millions , and we might not even have a ground of our own. They need to do their best to stay up and worry about FFP later , they have gone very quiet

Is this 100% a loan , i'm sure it was mentioned on the radio that it was a 6 month contract with a 12 month extension if we stay up ?
-
I think the issue is that a lot of our fans have a sense of entitlement , because of our history , because of the large fanbase , some believe we have a right to be in the top league. The truth is our history and large fanbase are a weight around the neck of the staff and this is very difficult club to manage , we still have a very good chance of staying in this league but we will all need to support the team to achieve it.

I think claims that we were outplayed were quite bizarre , clearly we sat off and allowed them to have the ball . Liverpool kept possession well but played triangles and sideways , they really didn't penetrate , if you look at our goals they mainly came from us waiting for a loose pass to go forward it was clearly a tactic . Didn't see much from anyone tonight that would suggest anyone should be in the starting 11 , having said that we can't ignore hourihanes dead ball delivery , its a weapon.

I mean I look at Liverpool and see players like Henderson, who was and is a pretty average player in my view. He's improved a lot over the last few years, but he's never going to measure up against players like Gerrard is he? Their two wingbacks, who get so much credit - are they really *that* incredible? Or is it the system they play in enables them to appear to be world-beaters? Or are they genuinely that good? Robertson for example looks extremely average in the Scotland squad.
I know if you're protecting a lead you tend to drop deeper as the game goes on, but I wonder how we can learn to not quite drop so deep and still maintain a threat.
Simply because they are better , you have to work harder than them to say in the game .It's inevitable that you start to run out of steam late on.

I believe the second row of floodlights on the Holte and North stand were added at the start of the 15/16 season because of new PL rules for a minimum brightness level for TV viewers, but it's possible that they have upgraded the lights since then as well.
pretty sure in was to enable 4k coverage

For me at the minute its a little bit like watching a kids coach on a saturday morning.Certain players are untouchable , so poor from smith.Had wesley come off and nakamba and mcginn been replaced with 20 min left we would have won today

last night jack had given everything and for me his legs had gone with 20 minutes left he then became very poor. With the kind of money that has been spent we shouldn't be in a situation where we won't or can't take him off.

You know the goalkeeping coach will have the same qualifications of the other staff right? The goalkeeping qualifications are done after the normal coaching ones. Don't think theres too much unusual here
