How u get to villa park now?  I was getting train in from airport and then train out to witton.

I was able to book tickets, said nothing about strikes.

766 bus to erdington , then the 11 to villa park , or you can go via city centre

I’d agree re the atmosphere, the away support is the loudest at most grounds. It’s harder on home fans.

Id disagree that Emery plays low risk football. Passing it out from the back and inviting the press is very risky, as we’ve seen ourselves this year.

Ok fair comment , but it will become low risk when he has players who are better in possession

  3. i don't necessarily think the poor atmosphere is a Villa thing , i see it all round the country. Top level football seems to have evolved to a keep the ball at all costs type of game , very clearly Emery want to play possession low risk football , the sort of football that we used to see in europe. The gungho days have gone for now and the fanbase need to adjust.

Watford and Villa can come to some agreement to pay him up and he can have all the surgery he wants.

Specialists between both clubs thunk it can be managed and he can be back in 6 weeks yet he wants surgery that will put him out for the season.

There are many stories of clubs screwing players over to not have surgery but does this really sound like one of them? Not really.

The guy sounds like a chump. He's got less miles on the clock than some 21 year olds. Doesn't even want to play football.

ive not seen anything thats says Villa agree that he doesn't need surgery , the move hasn't worked out and now Watford expect  Villa to pick up the pieces which they are under no obligation to do.

As of December 3rd we actually had two of the top ten WSL attendances of the season, for the home games at Villa Park against Reading and Man City.

But when you go into the top five attendances of the season there's a big jump up, as certain games between clubs challenging for the title or big local derbies attract thirty plus thousand.

Arsenal aren't getting crowds that big for most of their home games, for most games I think their attendances are closer to six thousand, they don't even usually play at the Emirates, but at a much smaller ground.

I think our attendances have grown considerably this season, but maybe one of the reasons we aren't attracting bigger sized crowds, as in say twenty thousand plus, is because we've only recently started to put much effort into our women's, before NSWE takeover, they weren't professional, and I don't think they were even officially affiliated with the club, so the women's team getting any kind of attention is still very new to most fans.

Think you are correct , until recently they just carried the name but weren't part of the club , also i don't think season ticket holders can go to watch the women free of charge any more so that effects crowds.

Is he only banned for one game? Says in fantasy football he’s back from suspension for our next game but I thought a straight red was 3 games?

yes one game for a professional foul

We have take it a little far. I’m all for shit housing but if Martinez picks up many more yellows he will get suspended then it’s Olsen time. I’m not against “game management” but we need to be a bit better at it.

he needs another 7 yellows for a ban , its about time we played nasty like the better teams.

Absolutely. I know it can be difficult to compare different times and different teams, but modern footballers are freakishly fit, they aren't good footballers who can run, they're athletes with genetic advantages that can play football. I'd bet the running numbers for our U23's are a match for Ron's side. There are very, very good players from the 70's and early 80's that simply wouldn't have had the genetic ability to play in the modern game.

you are correct due to modern techniques , however Allan Evans would eat the modern striker

  9. i don't think its a villa problem , its the same at many grounds now . The majority of teams in the premier play possesion at all costs football , blood and thunder games are now few and far between it has a negative knock on effect on the atmosphere
