Ohhhh we must be really close to the PSR line to change accounting date, assuming that was done for PSR reasons.
I can’t think of any other reason to extend the accounting period by 1 month.
We signed Buendia in that June I think.

Clean sheet for Feeney
If you were to pick your top 3 players who have the best chance of making a career for themselves at the level of the Premier League, who would it be? (Omit the likes of Donk, please.)

We’ll be very lucky to have him for 5 years. None of our last 20 managers have lasted that long.

Get a PhD. Six years on poverty wages, in your 20s, when your mates are buying houses and getting married.

'lovely funny scene ' & 'the whole bench was laughing'?! Absolutely no one was laughing in that video footage. Sounds more like Quentin has been given a line to feed the press from the club to brush the incident off. It's quite clear Emery is arguing with Digne and no amount of revisionism will convince me otherwise.
To be fair, Digne was having a laugh. It did look like Emery was scolding him for something.

A spell on the bench to compose himself will do him good.
When teams start a high press against us, and Pau is back doing his quarter back thing, Diaby will be a very valuable outlet. I fear he will remain limited against a low block.

Our full back area is our weak link.
To be fair, we just signed two.
Moreno was very poor today.

F*ck me that was a tough watch.

Who was that Irish commentator who didn't rate Nicolas Jackson?

Given the title of this thread, I must recommend the following book:
It’s a belter for anyone who wants to understand more about this island. You can buy it for £5 on Abebooks.

There's a player in there, but it really has not worked out for him.
He does not look anything like a 30m pound player. Looking at that performance from him when he came on, he looked like a cheap sub you'd get in from the Championship. The sort of performance you get from a lad we signed from Blackburn for 2 million. Grant Holt would have been more effective.

Did Zaniolo do anything other than lazily run into the back of people when he came on!
Yeah towards the end he fouled from the front as well.

We conceded soft goals, and ran out of ideas in the final third. We've been poor for a month. Fingers crossed Emery can sort it out.
Leon Bailey was superb.

Seems Orban has played his hand too early.

Hungary without the EU is a second world country!

I don’t know if anyone has bid for Jacob, but all this leads me to thinking the North Stand was cancelled because we don’t have the money. Makes sense with Heck coming in and saying his one job is to make money.

Didn’t look too bothered to be taken off. The chap has bags of talent but hasn’t really settled.
This will be controversial, but I think he’s a better natural footballer than Watkins. It just hasn’t clicked for him.

There’s no real evidence of him having a poor attitude other than unfounded speculation.
Emery has come out twice, subtly, admitting there’s been something going on. The first time, Emery said Duran was “a challenge”. Not “a joy” or “a pleasure”, but a challenge. Maybe something got lost in translation, fine. But the second time Emery said Duran’s attitude was “getting better”. That implies his attitude wasn’t always 100%.
Duran is still getting minutes so it’s clear Emery likes him, but it’s simply not true to say the suggestions are unfounded.

Lads, it’s literally in The Telegraph and we have a respectable poster saying Chelsea have asked about him. There’s something in the rumours.
Might not happen but there’s something in it.

”Aston Villa is” is US style.
Yeah, Americans would say "U2 is a good band" but in Ireland we would say "U2 are a shite band".

He’s 18 years old and already has more CL experience than half the team
This could turn into a great purchase. The new Seamus Coleman.

It was a number of years ago but when I went as part of the Irish Lions, I was given a little card that I handed back to the chairman upon entry. The Irish Lions had something like 5 cards for members.
Any other time I’ve been to VP, I just bought a ticket under my club account.
