I"m getting quite excited about what sort of team Tim is gonna put together, It will be great to see a team trying winning games instead of trying to make sure we don't lose!! definitely looks like he has a plan which is already a step up from lambert and I think there is a lot going on behind the scenes, I expect to see some arrivals soon

Great value for who? No resale value, if he loses interest which is bound to happen he is on big wages would make him hard to shift. There is a reason why Spurs are trying to get shot of him and why the others also did, he may score goals but he comes with far too much baggage. It's a no brainer if you pick him up on loan and spuds pay most of his wages then sign him up Tim will get the best out of him, also if you speak to spur fans they will tell you that he plays out of his skin when he is playing for a contract! it's only once he has signed the problems started!!! so loan only

I believe the club had no choice on this contract, the real problem lies in the fact that they allowed his contract to run down to such a level after investing so much money and time into him through his injuries. I just feel that the club needed to give the fans some good news at the time he signed, he genuinely didn't want to leave for nothing but he wanted an easy route out. I think the statement was just plain mistake on his part.

Well I'm I agree, he NEEDS to be backed to the hilt. But does anyone really believe he will be? I don't think we'll spend more than we receive this summer. Well 40 million from delph and benteke a few million from the other deadwood already gone plus the money that was already allocated for Cleverly I think thats nearly 50 million so thats not a bad starting point also all the money gone off the wage bill

We have for the last 4/5 years been dreadful, carrying a group of players that had no desire or passion for our club, A new manager has put his reputation on the line by getting rid of a lot of mainly deadwood and the other departures where not anything he could have done anything about: Delph was always going to go with a release clause that low but at lest we got some money instead of him walking out for nothing! Vlaar I'm of the opinion that he will not really be missed as he spent far to much time on the treatment table and he made some awful mistakes. Benteke I'm sure once Liverpool sell Sterling they will trigger his release clause and he will be on his way! I really am tired of the constant will he won't he in every transfer window if he wants to go then we don't need players that don't want to play for us. Now Tim it's time for you to build a team that we can get behind and to be fair anything has to be better than what we have been served up for the last 4-5 years or so If we get a squad of young talented hungry players that he can mould into an exciting team then I look forward to this! Sinclair, Gueye and Richards are a good start and I'm sure there will be more to follow so let the Tim and his team work before saying they have already failed.

I am Villa supporter for over 40 years and seen some fantastic highs and also more recently some incredible lows. I was present at the FA Cup final recently which I must count as one of my lows though meeting fellow Villa supporters was fantastic and made the day great fun till the game started. I have enjoyed reading your villatalk and thought it was about time I joined and perhaps make a few comments. anyway looking forward to a new beginning with Tim Sherwood as our manager and as always have a Positive outlook for the upcoming season.
