Whilst rewatching Shogun I wonder if somebody could try and explain to me the reasons
SpoilerWhy did Yabushige rescue Blackthorne in the Forest?

A mistake fans made before the game was having it in their head that Chelsea is a shit team.
No they aren't. If they were they'd be fighting relegation. They are a point off an european spot.
There are aspects of their game that are really, really strong and I knew that before the game.
When I look at Chelsea nd what they're doing it's far, far more sustainable than let's say Man Utd.
I would say they're inconsistent team, who at times look like a top 4 side and other times a mediocre side. It seem when they come to VP they revert to top 4 side.

The game changed on Tielimans going off, no work rate in midfield after that and Luiz just falls apart again without the work being done for him.
Agreed.

Strange team Chelsea . Shit and decent at the same time. We’ve put the pressure on spurs now so let’s see
Seem to raise their game at VP for some reason.

Really, it was one way traffic….it was inevitable they were going to score..,.they scored against EMI in the 1st half but for a VAR intervention….look at it without the claret and blue specs…..apart from the first 10 mins we’re 2nd best all round…..
Make your mind up. You said you was departing, why disappoint?

Simply allowed Chelsea far too much space and time. There was no press on the player in possession at all. Conversely, they were all over us the minute we tried to play out from our own box.
Exactly this.

Olsen made a great save after the mix up but he makes me very nervous. Too many mistakes and doesn’t command his area well but pulls off some great saves when he plays. He wasn’t the reason we threw away a 2 goal lead but I was never confident with him in goal.
That is the problem, he doesn't inspire confidence. If Emi hadn't gone off, I honestly believe we would have taken all three points.

Wernt great but **** it got a point against the better team on the day. Hopefully they play even better against Spurs and beat them.
That's a foregone conclusion. If they lose that, Poch will be sacked.

While I agree that Olsen doesn't inspire confidence, the 2nd half stats were pretty much a repeat of the first - except we somehow managed to score 2.
It's a fact, and there's no getting away from it. Olsen does not inspire the same confidence in his defence as Emi does. The second - half was ample proof.

It's the assumption that I would respond that I find most offensive.

Chelsea pressed really well but we barely strung 2 passes together. Possibly Luiz worst performance in a Villa shirt but most were below average. I expected a different Villa to come out in the second half but it was just more of the same
When I seen Olsen coming on, I kind of sensed that they smelt blood. They really upped their intensity after the break, causing us to panic in possession.

I've been wanting him to get minutes since he was back, but yeah, it was poor, and I suspect he'll be gone in the summer if we can find a buyer. Came on, gave away a bunch of unnecessary fouls, hid from the shot.
More pissed off at Luiz for forcing his own substitution though, absolutely brainless at times.
Luiz, starting to believe his own hype. Far from the complete midfielder, and it showed today.

Not sure why we do the sit back thingy after scoring, never works. We are an attacking team, the opposition always find it harder to get by when we are passing it about attacking. Defending it not one of our best tactics, an we seem to always fall foul of it.
Plenty of times we have sat back and looked comfortable whilst hitting teams on the break. Let's be honest, aside from them hitting the post, for all their possession, they never looked like scoring in the first - half. For some reason, Emi's absence maybe, we seemed to lose confidence in ourselves, especially defensively and invited Chelsea to gain all the momentum. Not closing down opponents in dangerous areas is always going to create problems and that's exactly what happened in that second - half.

Gallagher couldn’t believe how much time he had so thought it would be rude kit to have a shot.
Honestly, I now fully understand why Tim is likely to be sold.

Nah. Finish was excellent.
Should have been prevented long before that. Why not close the space?

Know what we were trying to do, but minus Youri then Emi plus Doug playing awfully meant we had no control even in a defensive stance. Seemed like everyone's first touch was non-existent, too.
Spot - on. Losing Tielimans so early was a big blow. We certainly lost some momentum from that and then to come out for the 2nd half without Emi, you just knew it was going to be a struggle. I'm still trying to work out why Tim didn't close down and prevent that 2nd goal.

Connor Gallagher with his shit 90s hairstyle.

Ollie, when we needed it most.

Chelsea proviing convincingly that possession for possession sake means nothing in this game. Aside from the header that shaved the post, they have flattered to deceive.

Thought I would have a bit of Breaking Bad for my pre - match entertainment.
Hank, "You ever smoke anything else, Wendy, sausages don't count?" The little laugh by Hank until he realises he's supposed to be moralizing Walt Jr.
Without doubt, up there with the very best.

You need to go to Tilt in City Arcade, Union Street. Craft Ales and classic pinball machines, dozens of them.
Don't know about the number 16 thing.
The ones where you had to get the ball in numbered holes. There were certain cafes that would pay you out if you managed to clock up so many games. The number 16 was the hardest number to land in because of it's position. If you got five numbers in a line you hit the jackpot. All them cafes, in the 70s, had them.
