So do we think Riley was at the Wolves game to scout players or tactics? Is there anyone of value at Crawley or Wolves?

Don't you go ruining Agent Dave, only found him today and I don't want him broken within 12hours of finding him.

It's not what you want to hear when it's your club. If he does it to Hull, he could do it to us in the future. Do feel he would be a useful signing though and an upgrade on Rudy by a long shot (which is more than Rudy has done ).

Dave seems legit.

Kinda feel the same. I feel he is replaceable, especially at the right price. Getting McCormack in shows we have pull in the market, plus not convinced yet that he is a "team player".

I agree. Think he is selfish, lacks vision and releases the ball too late to be effective. His poor distribution exposed us in the Boro friendly, he didn't track back to support Cissokho properly on Sunday and not convinced he is up for the fight in tier 2.

Surely NYC FC can let us have Pirlo for a year.......it's only fair.

Isn't Saltor old, 33 or so? Don't think he could be relied upon for a whole season providing width. Think he has got slower too. Just wish we hadn't sold Lowton really. Judge is good though imho.

We should go and get one of those type players anyway but that said we already have two in the youth team - Green and Hepburn-Murphy. They could make the step up this season. McCormack and an AM would be nice before Sunday....

Always thought Jedinak would add steel and leadership to the midfield. Doubt Dunk would be sold to rivals though, decent player though. I think our scouts have a long list of players but a lot of whom will be getting better offers. If we have a good season - promotion or very close to - then we shall seem like a better prospect for more interesting signings. We currently are looking like a tainted option / circus act in football. Up to RDM and Dr Tone to change that view.

I think they don't want to pay large amounts for players who aren't going to add quality. We spent £40+ last season and it didn't improve our squad a great deal. Kodjia could be a flash in the pan, McCormack may not have the fight anymore. We assume footballers have the same desire as fans, to some of them it's their job and everyone can have a good day at the office. I know very little about Kodjia and McCormack beyond their show reels. £13m for Kodjia may be massively overpriced with little gain.

I think the McCormack links are part of us playing hardball over Kodjia, a 'we have other options' approach.

Agree we fell apart, I feel a few people are using it to signal doom and gloom based on similarity to last season - don't agree with that. I think that is going to be the undoing of some other clubs this season, expecting to only show up to win. Hutton and Sissokho are replaceable, the DM position is important this term, as Gardner provided cover without being caught out of position too much but Westwood isn't solid enough on his own. Leading Baker and co to cover gaps and be pulled apart. I think we could have been 2 up by HT with a more dynamic forward and better delivery. Incidentally I think Bacuna did a much better job against Boro. That's then a different game in the second half.
