Yea, come on delphino, give us some more info and detail on this so we can stop looking at this post everyday hoping to get a glimpse or understanding of the new kits only to be as disappointed as we are when sylla or bennett pulls on a shirt... Kit info needs to be the priority people...

I'm glad someone else has posted the exact same thoughts that I have been having. I understand the doom and gloom, and have had to fight against it myself many times over the years (more so the last couple), but I guess I am a glass half full kind of fan, and just don't understand being negative about things unnecessarily before they have even happened. I have a really good feeling about the experience that has been added and the different formations that we will now be able to use for different opponents. Keane will add much needed honesty and experience during this season, especially for the midfielders, and he will definitely come into his own during half time rollockings! The players re-integrated back into the squad would be a benefit to most PL teams, and have looked eager and sharp during pre-season. That is great news to start with. Okore and the rest of the treatment room are mostly back or not far off, and that is a blessing too. Some big names and players have been living in that room for too long, it will be good to get them all back and fighting for places! We are still a couple of players away from being a 10th upwards team, but with the Colombian and another decent signing (hopefully someone who can can cross a ball well), I think we will be ok this season regardless of the first result on saturday. The only thing I am slightly negative over is how much you now have to spend in the market to even stand still. Whilst I write the above being the positive fan I am, I also feel a slight nagging worry about this, and can only live in hope that a new owner comes in before Jan and allows us to move forward player wise. Lets face it, the ground, pitch, training and academy are all much better than they were 10 years ago and the finances and are too, so we are in a good position off the turf. Lets get behind the boys and give them the support they deserve this weekend, and drive them on to perform for those that pay them to wear our shirt... us! UTV

What is interesting to me is the comments on the kit mock up pics on pg24 (amongst others..). They have obviously been talking about the badge and how it will look, as the comment is written "confirm with" and an arrow to the badge on the shorts. Would be great to think they have resorted to the round badge we all prefer so much. I personally cannot wait, but was hoping we would have had the latest ideas from those pic releases made into a new rendered vision like the early ones that lmarsha did. They just make the kit look more believable.

In terms of value, it is usually worked out by money peeps as 10-12times the operating income. Our operating income was around £16.5mill so welve times this gives us the £200m value. He may get that based on the postive equity, very little debt, great history and brand, english and young players, structure and supportive fan base. Now we have guaranteed our PL survivla too, this is a massive plus for new buyers with the money available in the PL each year from TV and rights etc. I would be surprised if he doesnt get £160-£180m for us in our current state (even though as fans, we believe the team needs a massive clearout with epxerienced players coming in ASAP).

Morning all... Been a villa fan since I can remember (even though I played for wolves and stoke as a kid). Been following the site for years reading and laughing at the posts made on here and am not at the stage of my life where I feel like i want to contribute to the conversations. Im 36, three kids and married for over 8years. Took my son to his first ever football match at the beginning of the last season against Malaga, and hope to bring my daughter this coming season too. Love the pre-season kit thread, and like to read many of the other posts too about backroom rumours and management. Look forward to being able to get involved... AtkinsonWonderGoal
