Gucci Mane?

Not knocking the club boyangel, just saying if I had £8m to spend which is over 70% of overall budget if have made sure I spent it in alloted time and not left it so late with all my eggs in one basket.
You don't have to just spend your budget. If there weren't any players that A: would be let go by their club B: were willing to come at appropriate wages and C: would improve the squad then why throw it out because it's there? invest it in keeping our talent, or save it for another opportunity next window.

Barca, Real and Bayern?
Barnsley, Rochdale, Barnet

Happy to tread water, that's fine by me. He's shown he's not up to a challenge, and I don't want that sort of player.

Don't count your chickens, Tom.

Signing someone like Canales (who I have never seen play football, I can't even be bothered to check youtube) will definitely be the signing to keep us in the top 3 this season.
-
that's a lot of central midfielders
Your signature has confused the shit out of me for about 4 minutes there.
Took me a while but I couldn't get it quite right!
It just seems a little odd to sign Richardson and Cole early on, and then we go to sign Sanchez, and target an AM and CM, along with links to a winger. Bent and N'Zogbia were brought back into the team after being isolated so it does feel like something has changed between the early signings and now.

Would Ron sign a bumper contract with an agreement that if any offer came in next year we would accept it? To honour us and ensure we don't lose him for nothing.
-
He's fearless. Oozes confidence. Not afraid to take one for the team. Had a nice one-two with Delph at the end. Exciting cameo today.
Not for the first time I saw a kid who didn't want to shoot in case he got a bollocking during that move. When he cut inside and had it on his right there was a goal there for him, but instead he chose to offload it to Delph. Not the wrong call by any stretch, but I think a Jack Grealish with a bit more confidence takes that shot on
Agreed, but that will come with match time.
-
Brilliant, I remember those 2 weeks where he had a few good games and was touted as a world beater for the 6 months that followed. So slow getting back to chase as well.
-
Absolute scumbags. Grealish will be so important for us.
-
I was just about to post that we'd gone off the boil a bit in the second half, and we've been punished for it. Rubbish free kick to give away in a dangerous position. Aly was unlucky, but I have to think that we were in a position to push on in this second half and we really haven't.
As I mentioned earlier, Hull playing with 3 central defenders was playing straight into their hands. They switched it up at half time and it's become a more even game.
-
Unlucky. Keep going

Grealish on for Zog to keep posession.

Compared to Cissokho, Bertrand was absolutely S**T
Bertrand would apparently have cost 7 mill and we paid 2 mill for Cissokho
Liverpool allegedly interested in signing Bertrand this window as well.
That was a twitter joke based on him signing for Southampton.
It wasn't.
Talk was around before he went there. Before he left us, in fact.

I believe this is down to Hull playing 3 at the back.
So, we get no credit at all?
When did I ever say that? I'm one of the more positive members. I think we're getting a lot of space because they're not totally sure on how to position themselves and they're a man short in midfield, and it's working beautifully. We exploited it for a goal, there's the credit.

N'Zgobia, Weimann and Agbonlahor combine, haha

Boring line up form a boring manager.
Our bench is more creative than the players starting. I fully expect more of the same dull football from the previous two games. Only this time Hull will probably score.
No Sanchez? Finding it hard to get into this team? Really?
Okore is gonna fade into nothing and probably be forgotten about by the end of the season. Gutted because I thought he would be a star here.
This team has 4 from 6 and conceded no goals. Sanchez wouldn't offer any more going forward so it's totally understandable he isn't being thrown in yet. Also, Okore is injured.
Sanchez was bought supposedly to provide a platform for other players to go and be creative. We bought him to toughen up and provide protection to our back four. We've played 2 games where our opposition have played shit. Are we supposed to believe Westwood and Delph are now strong as an ox and Sanchez isn't needed?
Our midfield will show its true colours very soon. It might not be today coz Hull aren't great going forward but it's coming.
Sanchez will be straight in next game as soon as we concede two or more
Well if Hull aren't great going forward, why is he needed today?

While I agree changes should be made, I can see why Lambert is sticking with the same team.
Just about to come to say this. I'm disappointed, not surprised and also wouldn't disagree with the reasoning for it. I just hope if it's a first half of the same going forward Grealish and Bacuna come on for a half or 30.

Probably my favourite player ever.

You'd struggle fitting him into the frame of the TV at the minute.
