  1. I ended up just button mashing the thumbstick & X repeatedly when learning the shot.

What an absolutely ridiculous system, gives you a tutorial then no instruction that you're meant to press in the direction of the memories...it's still p***ing me off just thinking about it haha.

Anyway I'm reallly enjoying it atm, can relax as you play.

  2. I stopped watching about 4 months ago, the roster is absolutely terrible & until they stop ramming RR down the viewers throats I'm out.

They need to do something more with Bray to, with him & his crew he could make an amazing heel. No one else is doing the supernatural thing, not saying he's the next taker but there's so much more they could do with him instead on these meaningless feuds he always ends up loosing. He's also brilliant on the mic, instead they continue serving up people like RR & Cena.

  3. I'm coming up to the end of season 5 of X files & love it. It's pretty dated to look at, you get an episode here & there's that's pretty garbage but on the whole I love it.Was a bit to young to be all that interested in it at the time it first came out. The tongue in cheek episodes are fantastic to.

Oh Gillian, Gillian Gillian Gillian. What I wouldn't give for 5 mins with her. I also want a trench coat & talk in a monotonous tone while investigating government coverups.

  4. I don't think a games made me so angry in a while as this, the part to gain the Jecht Shot. Gives you a tutorial then completely changes the prompts on screen....I was like how did i fail when it gave me no prompts to hit. Once I youtubed it I saw what was meant to happen, how stupid.

Had to reload & replay over an hours worth <_<

& just as maddening you cannot skip the bleeping cutscenes

Hope you enjoy the FFX playthrough as much as I did.

Miffed that dodging lightning 200 times in a row was a trophy though. Only 1 I didn't get. So close to platinum. >_<

I couldn't remember any of the start of the game.

Just about to fight SINSPAWN GENEAUX & TENTACLES.

  6. Well that was hugely dissapointing, only got to play for about an hour. So what I posted above is all I have to say really.

If I had to buy the game from a purely pvp experience I'd probably be cancelling my pre order.

  7. The developers here have either dropped a right one or have been extremely clever. I can't figure out which just yet.

On one hand it feels very nostalgic, even the look of the game has an almost indie look about it. There's no sprint function & you can pick pretty much all the power weapons in your loadout, rocket launchers, snipers ect. The games not super fast yet isn't to slow, I like that about it. The two maps I've played on aren't really anything to write home about.

Playing as a demon is pretty boss, I spawned in just as the power up came live! Running with someone on your team as th demon is cool to & the music is superb! There's a nice editor for the weapons to, as in cosmetic.

But on the other hand it kind of looks/feels like something From 360/PS3 gen. But I can't make my mind up if that's purely the feel they've gone for or if it's just graphically (for the pvp mode) not all that much to look at. My biggest complaint is the shotgun, while you only have one round so have to reload after every shot the crossair fills so much of the screen & the range is ridiculous. 95% of my kills/deaths are via shotguns, everyone is using it. So it's basically a shotgun fest, from what I've seen so far.

Will post up once the beta is over.

  8. I had downloaded the Beta & will give it a hammering when I get off work tonight, so will post up some impressions. This is for the PVP mode only not story.

Anyone else downloaded the closed Beta?

  9. The frame rates were dire & the dodge was utterly awful! I really don't see why they bothered with this. I get its to drum up interest but it's just baffling what was going on. There was literally no context to anything you were doing.

Couple of my pals whom are being into FF games were screaming "it's a tech demo"

I bouhht X/X-2 last night forgot I had money on a game card so bought PS money with it:)

  10. I'm tempted to buy FFX/FFX-2 but isn't X-2 meant to be pretty poor? I never finished X though I really enjoyed it back when it came out.

Whats it like on ps4, do you still have to sit though 20 mins of cut scenes before a boss battle if you fail or can you now skip?

I tried going back to ME1 not so long back. I LOVED the game when it came out and did for many years, but it felt like a slog this time round. The MAKO bits were really shit. Can't believe how many playthroughs I swept EVERY planet.

ME2 planet searching was much better.

Will defo be getting this though

It wasn't till ME3 was coming out that I played the second & all the add on content. I became obsessed with scanning every planet I could haha

That's a shame, but I understand it does unlock stuff in the game proper. I'll be pre-ordered the deluxe edition later (steelbook case with a copy of Kingsglaive and some DLC)

I couldn't find Duscae in the ps site but it was In my history on Xbox so I'm downloading it now to have a play through again.

Which version of Episode Duscae did you play? It did get patched which changed a bunch of stuff. I'm gonna play through that later and the new demo, which I've read is quite weird as it's set in a dream, and you're guided by Carbuncle...odd.

Think when it first dropped, I played in over a couple days then just deleted it.

    The Final Fantasy XV Uncovered event last night confirmed the expected worldwide release date of 30th September 2016. It did throw up some unexpected things too though;

    • A 'feature length' CGI movie called Kingsglaive, which will tell a story that runs concurrently with the main game. It features the voice talents of Sean Bean, Lena Headley, and Aaron Paul. It's being directed by Takeshi Nozue who previously co-directed Advent Children.
    • A spin off anime series called Brotherhood which acts as a prequel. There will be five 10 minute episodes, which will be available for free on Youtube. This is being produced by A1, who did the Persona and Valkyria Chronicles anime adaptations, and as such is in very safe hands.
    • A new demo entitled Premium Demo which was released around the world straight after the event. Bit of a misleading name though, it's not a demo at all (unlike Episode Duscae), but a standalone 'experience' which tells it's own story and introduces the gameplay elements. I'll post thoughts when I try it out later.
    • Perhaps most odd is a game fo iOS/Android/Windows 10 called JusticeMonstersFive which is a pinball game. This will be a mini game in the actual full game itself, but everyone will have the chance to play it soon outside of the game, it seems.
    • Florence + The Machine have covered Stand By Me which forms the basis of a trailer or something, apparently she's a fan of the series (maybe).

There's some other stuff too, details of the special editions (day one edition has some DLC, collector's edition has a steelcase, super edition has a model) and a new trailer. It's shaping up nicely, but you know the old saying about thing's seeming too good to be true...hopefully it's more that SE know they're on to something good so are going for the hard sell, and having played the first demo the gameplay at least is good, but who really knows until we can get our hands on the full thing.

Needless to say, it's a pre-order for me, regardless of the above. But then it always would have been.

Im just downloading the demo now, did play Duscae but can't  really remember anything about it...not sure if that's a bad thing or not.

  15. I'm kinda tempted to get it again to play the Dlc. Think I put round 150hours or so into it, bought the Dlc about a week after release but when it came out I just didn't really fancy playing it again.

Yeah I can see your point of view. I guess it really does depend on what this new version will offer. If it's the difference between playing games on a "medium" setting on the current PS4, but an "Ultra" setting on the PS4K, then I think it will be quite popular. I'd certainly get one.

If it was so much better if consider it but then it's spending on a TV as well, so it could end up costing a fair whack.

I bought my current TV 6 months before the Xbox dropped & I'll no doubt change on the next gen to, that's what I usually do. By then 4K would of become less of a new thing.

I assume if you sold your current PS4 and then bought this new one it would cost you £150(ish).

It's not really a lot of money for a hardware improvement for a 3 year old device. Though, if it's not worth it for you then you lose nothing by not upgrading, your PS4 games will still play the same as they ever could, so there's no issue?

The only thing which would slightly concern me is that people who have upgraded may get a slightly better experience online with frame rates, which could hinder your gameplay, but I imagine it would be marginal at best.

Mariginal isn't really going to make people think "well that's absolutely worth it", a used 500gb ps4 at cex is worth £155 so I guess you'd be looking at £200 ish to get ever so slight better graphics & performance. The majority of people aren't going to go for that & the time this releases the trad-in price will no doubt be closer to £100-£120.

As I said I'm all for tweaking the current gen & completely understand what they're trying to do. I'd sooner they held off & add proper 4K next gen than a "make do" version now.

It's probably not going to offer much 90% of people will either notice or need.

That's why I don't really see the point adding it this gen. Next gen absolutely & there's no harm in tweaking the current gen but it is still such a niche thing to be bringing out. I get they need to inovate & keep people interested but asking users to replace a unit for ever so slight better processing ect just doesn't seem worth it....to me at least.

On a different note I've been really impressed with my ps4 since picking one up. Whenever I go on my Xbox one I just get angry at how slow/cluttered the os is. I'm surprised to say that if I had both since launch & had to pick after 3 months use I'd be picking the ps.

  19. Thing is the majority of people haven't moved to a 4K tv yet. It's still kind of a niche market they're aiming at.

I bought a high end, mid range Samsung about 2 years ago so I just missed the 4K releases but there's no way I'm about to replace that unit already.

Yeah because it's all the same isn't it?

Local Leicester paper vs Talksport. Hmm.

I hadn't seen that local paper report, I was only given those two links which on the face of it again isn't reliable.

Though I think you knew that anyway.

It seems Leicester have a very good recruitment system as they have shown this season with Amartey so again it probably only needed authorising so again I'd be wary about giving Pearson credit with it.

I watched a MoTd recently where they talked about all the behind the scene work Pearson had done, that his back room team/scout set/recruitment was all is work/put in place by him & while Ranieri should rightly take a lot of credit he pretty much picked up what had been put in place by NP.

My wife's Friend teaches in Lecister, has a season ticket (though is a villa fan) has got chatting to a couple ofplayers (via obvious reasons) & they said the same thing, Pearson was brilliant to work with/for.
