Basically let a few fringe players leave, Elmo, Engels, Barkley. Bring in Tammy and Dele Alli, start bedding in Barry and chewy and keep what we have. top 6 next year.

We need a quality winger. While AEG has scored 5 goals, both scrappy and excellent, he just isn't consistent or good enough for where we want to be. He's shown he can come in and be a rotation option, but that's it.
Traore just isn't a winger. Period. Let him rotate with Barkley and Ramsey and get a new winger in.
Looking at the work rate of both these players defensively yesterday made me miss Trez a lot. And it's not like they did a whole lot offensively either.
Well they kinda did. One scored away at old Trafford which we haven’t been able to say that many times in recent times.

Feels like he’s disappeared off the face of the earth

He needs to work on his right foot but since his defensive work is questioned, I am appalled nobody has mentioned his brilliant defending to stop a clear one on one chance
He did track back very well considering it was our corner the counter came from

Where is he today? Not on bench

God help him when jack gets injured he has no other plan

Barely in the game, same every week. We need to find a way of using him because he’s clinical in front of goal*
*less so from the spot
Not from 12 yards.

VAR got that wrong. The line for Watkins was drawn too far down his arm. Deliberately to make him offside. If they'd drawn it from the correct location he was onside
To be fair we got away with one like this last season against palace but yeah we should look at making our sleeves a lot shorter to make it harder for VAR to pick up on

He looks nervous all the time, why is he he taking penalties? If he looks and plays nervous now wait until he has 40k Villa fans on his back.

He’s a once in a life time player for our club in my opinion. With his age, further potential, passion and skill there isn’t a single player in the world I would swap him for right now. I see the city rumours circulating this morning, I think it’s lazy journalism, they really need to sort out their defensive out as a priority, there not that great a club they don’t have history and they always fall sort at the very top, even Sanè left them and plus Jack has proven money isn’t a key factor in his decision making, plus they’ve had there fingers burnt with one man club players like Jack Rodwell and Adam Johnson before....

Like prime Messi today.
You watch other games and see wingers struggle to beat their man more than once/twice a game and this guy picks the ball up anywhere on the pitch and will beat 3 players like it's nothing time and time again. And that's not even talking about his vision and end product.
Genuinely world class, don't think there is a side he doesn't get into at the moment (Ignoring that word removed Southgate).
I said he was as close to messi as you can get. Read back through my posts when I assumed he was leaving I kept saying he would be the perfect replacement for messi and would for the mould and even have a season or two with messi to learn more before taking over. I’m obviously well happy that never happened he’s an amazing player to watch and I’m so glad we have him and he’s ours.

When are people going to start admitting this guy is good and apologise for the abuse he got last year

Funny isn’t it win our game in hand (unlikely against city) we’d be second. Funny season. Knowing our luck we will play city and united and the like when their fortunes turn and get a hammering.
-
Look at the stats on sky. Us 56% possession. 10 shots on target, them 4. There keeper 7 saves ours none. I think the score line flattened take away the great free kicks then it would of been an even game. Not panicking stations yet but a few tweaks for the arsenal game needed no doubt.

I would honestly drop Barkley and McGinn for Arsenal if we had adequate replacements.
Easily done play Davies up top move Watkins left jack inside trez on right Conor and luiz centre mid

I’d play him on the left wing for a game or two start Davies up top, tuck jack in center, trez on right Conor and Luiz center and drop Barkley and McGinn for a game.

We have 0-7 in the last 90 minutes.
We also scored 7 in 90 against the champions so swings and roundabouts

We always struggle against saints. They had that fastest Manè hatrick against us, Long loves to score against us, Walcott gets a few, obviously wars-prowse too now lol. Just write it off and move on
-
Bet they bring Shane Long and he scores too

The Watkins situation worries me. It’s like we don’t know how to play him. Aside from the Liverpool game he’s barely had a chance.
For £30m we shouldn’t be saying that.No different from saying about Wesley last season if we are going to play hoof ball we need to play Davies and put Watkins next to him or on the wing

West Ham getting so many plaudits but the truth is if we win our 2 games in hand (unlikely) and we won our 2 games against them (we was arguably very unlucky in both) we’d be above them.
