  1. I still remember being told I was wrong for calling Lerner a parasite.  He's surely gone on from then to suck the life out of our club that's for sure.

What I don't understand is the guy actually owns the club, and all this is throwing the value through the floor - other than tax write offs why is he doing it?  Maybe he has become completely twisted and sinister and enjoys making the fans squirm?

There was one point where I said I never wanted the guy dead, but would be perfectly happy if he dropped dead.  He's done so much to our club to twist me up, I'm pro-actively hoping he drops dead!  Horrible word removed.

just in time for the summer? we've been here before.

Dunno, the whole post reads :-

    Quote

It is with regret that Aston Villa Football Club today announces the resignations of Mervyn King and David Bernstein as directors of the Club.

The Club would like to thank both for all their efforts throughout their short time as members of the Board.

A search to appoint a new manager remains a priority.

The Chairman, Steve Hollis, is currently engaged in extensive negotiations in relation to the sale of the Club.

Brian Little will continue to advise the Chairman on all football related matters.

What does that mean 'don't lend themselves to compromise'?

Take the context, he talks about the problems being massive and to fix it needs radical changes - no compromising on the changes needed to fix the shit basically.

He and Grealish are needed for the U21's. It would be a huge thing for the club to win promotion to U21 D1. I would rather that happens than they play 90 mins vs Southampton.

With the continued success of our U21 team we should seriously consider terminating the entire first team by lethal injection / sacking for gross misconduct and promote our youngsters.

Normally I'd be okay with the club keeping its business under wraps

Don't think we keep anything "under wraps"...basically nothing is going on.  Unprepared, it's been our motto for a long time so I'm not expecting anything different next season except for more of these empty word announcements which is all we've had up until now.

  6. I hope  more people come on and pick on our players to make their positions untenable.  Even then it would still probably be a hard job to shift some a long under our regime but they need to be gone. If they're not gone, they'll get played - and we'll get no where they're that bad.

Did Stan goad players into fighting him? Incite anger by tweeting pictures of expensive sports cars following a heavy defeat? Play a huge part in the relegation of a club he supposedly supports?

Other than play mediocre for a top/mid table team what else did Stan do that comes close?

Ok, we want someone who will do shit for us in the premiership when we get promoted?

Plenty of time to worry about that if it happens.

Could be for a few years yet, might even drop another league,

Think them stats are abit skewed considering he is now managing a professional football team up against pub teams.  Also Brentford had to sell there three best players after he left to avoid being fined for missing FFP.  i.e. he spent well above their limit when he was there and they gambled to get promotion to the Prem which he didnt manage.

Hmm, this could be full circle...familiar story.

I don't know enough about Warburton.

Sounds potentially good, but still a big risk.

If all else fails, he makes a great loaf of bread which would be morre value than we've seen to now

We sit in the DE and we saw a steward walking along the touchline with a huge rolled up banner being carried by him and what looked like a fan. Overall the stewards looked very edgy to me. Lots of worried faces watching the crowd and pointing at groups of fans which was good to see.

I thought the chants about the board were well deserved and seemed to lift the team in the second half. The media barely mentioned that but the walkout got plenty of media coverage which was excellent so a job well done.

Scum bag really if he's trying to basically censor his critics, Kim Jong-Lerner.

OK mate, you win. Back to Off Topic I go.

    lol, jesus chill out.

Getting beat by our own kids is nothing short of embarrassing, and the whole world is rightly laughing at us.  There's no over reaction in accepting it for what it is, our senior players getting stuffed 3 goals to nothing by our youth team.

What exactly were the starting eleven of each side? I'm all for showing up the underachieving, overpaid shitbags of a first team squad we have, but is this just another massive over reaction to a training game, with mixed sides, and being used as yet another stick to beat us with?

A team made of our senior players gets beat 3 - 0 by our kids, and anything said about that can possibly described as a massive be an over reaction?  This is exactly where it's all going wrong...
