Leave 500k ahead, increasing all the time. Not sure the London boroughs will be able to overcome that in the end.
And of most of those london boroughs left, it seems there are a lot to come of areas that would typically vote out for all the wrong reasons.

I'm not saying we should take the vote away from pensioners, that clearly isn't workable even if I thought it was fair. But it could have been given to 16 and 17 year old. They are as capable of understanding the issue as most of the country, and will ultimately be the most effected.
I dont know about that, I suppose times have changed - but I guarantee that giving me or any of my mates the vote at the age of 16 or 17 would be a bad idea...

I do find it very unfair that pensioners, that in truth only have a few years left, can swing this vote, well 16 and 17 year old who have the most to gain / loose get no say.
I dunno, they have the same entitlement...and they have the future of their siblings to vote for. A lot of them remember life before Europe, my parents especially and they are hardcore out voters. Not that my parents are pensioners yet.

Well this is a demographic statistic if ever there was one.
Sheffield awash with young and old eligible voters down the middle :-
SHEFFIELD DECLARATION

OUT: 136,018

Some good business men left our club, citing that huge changes were required at the club and that was the only way they could do an effective job.
They weren't wrong then, and they're still right now. All this shit needs to be flushed.

Enough brand identity in China will automatically lead to more varied sponsorships etc from China. HUGE potential for us over the next few years!
With such a large population the potential for branding/merchandising revenue is insane. The Chinese adopt fashions very quickly, if our name got banded about as the Chinese club to support could be huge like you say.
I only posted the other week the Leicester clothing section in Bangkok airport. The influence local appeal can have runs fast, I took this when out at sea of a random Thai boat crew just yesterday and you'd never of dreamed of seeing that here before Thai ownership :-

Fair cop. I've been hunting it every year for over 20 years now.
lol, in all seriousness though...I hope new ownership does bring through some extra gate receipts. I know a lot were staying away because of Lerner, but if we have a good crowd down there it will be daunting to the other chump players of the league as it'll be one of the biggest stadiums down there. If not the biggest?

With all the talk of pushing in the local countries, it will be interesting to see what affect it will actually have and if it will get us a load of extra overseas supporters. I took this photo just earlier today in Bangkok airport, couldn't see another kit around (though I was in a hurry). Can't say I've seen many Leicester fans around on my travels but they're obviously trying to push it with the Thai owner connection.

Generally Asian food in Asia is a world apart from what we describe as Asian food here. We took excellent food and made it shit for our own tastes...

So whats the feeling today then?

Still elated that Lerner is going, though can't fully celebrate until he's officially gone. Can't really see past that for now.

OK, showing my cultural ignorance here, but I always got the impression that the Chinese LOVED gambling. Or is it a Communist Party thing to try and break that?
Genting in Malaysia was full of chinese when I was there.

The body language of O'Leary used to convince me he was more interested in whether his mother had cooked chicken or beef for his Sunday dinner than what was happening on the pitch.

Because some fans are willing to embrace the way that modern football clubs are funded and operated, does not mean that we're worse fans, or sheep, or happy to destroy the soul of Aston Villa. Sometimes you have to just roll with the punches.
This is the way football has changed, like many other ways it has changed over the years, and some clubs need to embrace it if they want to stay at the top level of football. I'm not going to stop following football and the team that I love, because our new owner appears to be making changes that many current teams have made to keep us (get us!) back to where we all want us to be in the league
To those who think we're not sticking with tradition, you'd think that Aston villa were traditionally a club used to being the worst footballing team on the planet. A team that's happy with relegation form with who's only outlook was dropping even further.
For the most parts, to be successful now you have to compete with the sheiks of man city, the Russians of Chelsea even the Americans of liverplop...willing to make large sums of money available. Tell you even Leicester, people forget they're owned by a Thai billionaire.
Unless my memory of history is skewed, Aston villa likes to have its tradition of being successful and only recent years has it been the worst ever. To continue that tradition it had to bring in someone outside to give us a platform to compete from.

The nightmare (RL) is finally over.
Just that should be enough for anybody. Gone form no hope, to an unknown - automatically an improvement in the short term.

I'm not condemning him, but I'm massively uncomfortable with this. I see our government closing down the British steel industry in the rush to suck up to a country that seems to be gearing up to control the world economy. Now I see the Chinese have decided to dominate world football. Well, fine, I lost interest in world football many years ago. The money aspect of the game, the Sky hegemony, ticket prices out of reach of the average punter, players' wages that are frankly disgusting, English clubs owned by Arab sheikhs and Russian oligarchs. It stinks. All I had was Aston Villa, Birmingham's proudest. I thought we were better than that. This is the club whose players refused to salute Hitler. We knew that the worst thing that could happen wasn't playing in the third division, it was losing the soul of the club. That process has sadly been accelerating since the birth of the Premier League. All I see on this thread is hysteria about money. Money, and shut your eyes to everything else. Rename Villa Park? Sure, think of the money. This used to be Aston Villa. Now it it seems it's just another PLC. I'm not celebrating this morning, I'm sad, very sad. I'm not saying I'm walking away from it all, I'll follow what happens with interest, and no doubt I'll be pleased if we can start winning games, but it's not MY Aston Villa any more.
Wow, for a long time I felt like I'd lost my aston villa...I didn't care about attending games anymore and if it weeren't for the group of pals I go with and enjoy the "day out" then I would have stopped renewing a long time ago.
If this sale adds a hint of interesting football to go along with my "day out" then it will be a blessing, but anything...just anything will be more or better than what we had

Pretty sure Birmingham is going under the biggest construction project of its time over the next 10 years or so
It's been under the biggest construction project of it's time for the past 10 years or more....not sure if people remember what Birmingham used to be like but the improvements have been drastric.

Thanks for the first 4 years Randy.
I don't hate the guy, he had good intentions but he obviously didn't have a clue about football.
Of course, my opinion of him will change drastically if he's just signed our death warrant.
I don't hate the guy, but if the electric chair was still a punishment I'd vote for him to get it.
