  1. If we're trying harder and doing worse with the same material it would suggest the coaches are the problem. Or on today's example a make shift defence because the first choice players were unavailable. Hard to work as a unit with so many injuries.
  2. Agree with what Houllier said in the post match. Bent wasn't offside and Wheater should have been sent off.
  3. Had Cuellar, Dunne or Collins be fit I'm confident we would have defended set pieces better. Plenty of positives to take from the game tbh.
  4. Excellent point, Bolton used their height and pyschicality to get the better of us at both ends of the pitch.
  5. Great result for set piece Wanderers. Still bemused by Ash's penalty miss.
  6. Today proves Bolton still have some total ogres at the back who constantly get away with fouls. Thought Bent was onside when the ball was played over the top.
  7. Grabbing defeat from the clutches of victory. How did Wheater not get sent off?
  8. Salgado was lucky to get away with that clear obstruction on Albrighton.
  9. Wonder if Cappello is impressed by certain players today.
  10. Trolling Bluemoon.... "How we didn't win that game, their cup final, I'll never know. They were like we were against Arse, except they scored. I've never know bitterness like theirs though. Even Tevez doesn't get as much stick off the rags as Barry does from that lot at Villa. And they sang "We shall not be moved" when they're where exactly?" Arrogant drivle.
  11. Everything from the crowd, to the players and the management were all lifted by Bent's goal. That one goal today could change our entire season now. Confidence will be coming back to the lads and the fans will hopefully lay of Houllier.
  12. I disagree. I think at times Kolarov gave him problems, but watching him skin De Jong in the second half was great. He showed some great technique tonight and wasn't afraid to run at both ends of the pitch. Granted, one bad ball he whipped in, but he did put in some lovely crosses in earlier. I hope Capello was impressed.
  13. 2 - Man City managed only two shots on target v Aston Villa, the 5th time this has happened to City in 2010-11. Blunted.
  14. Seeing fatty Platt's face on the City brought much satisfaction. **** off Platt and Barry.
  15. The whole back four, Albrighton and Petrov were fantastic. Bent did the job required of him. Young was a thorn for City throughout. A little luck sure, but a great defensive display. Petrov battled and battled in the midfield today.
  16. Rubbish - there have been some excellent individual displays at the back.
