  1. Some great attacking and defensive work.

Went with watkins for motm but I would say the majority of the team put in a top performance that 2nd half.

Diabys best game for a good while, perfect timing really.

Baileys running in attack and defence and some great passes.

Konsa using his pace and brains to draw fould when under pressure

Torres with his attacking ability and calmess at the back

Emi with a few crucial saves

Watkins for his all round play

They were the highlights while others still gave 7 out of 10 performances

4 more wins in the league to go and 3 in Europe please 🤞🤞🤞

  2. Have a feeling he will score a couple more goals before the season ends.

His form has gone to shite and he looks ineffective and weak but we've all seen how he started the season, I think he may end the season in the same manner.

  3. Don't want to be negative , there's 30 minutes left

    but

Konsa has been utter tripe tonight, would be swapping him out for Carlos for extra time, otherwise konsa will just keep it and do nothing with it the entire 30 minutes apart from pass it back to emi or pass it to their players.

  4. Some pretty dire performances in that half.

The midfield can't get the ball due to konsa having 50% of all our possession and either just standing there with it or passing it back to martinez, no matter where the rest of our team are. Martinez then has to hook it clear which inevitably is towards diaby who will never win it and we give away possession.

Mcginn needs to drop further back to give us some sort of hold in midfield and to bollock konsa to release a forward pass to a midfielder.

I've not seen us that passive for a long time, it was not easy on the eyes.

The ref has been pretty crap so far too.

  5. Did fine bearing in mind the team we put out and who we played.

With no mcginn / kamara in the side he was always going to be exposed against city but didn't embarass himself.

A few more games starting will do him some good, we need the physical presence he brings at the moment.

  6. Was involved in the majority of any decent attacks we had, defended and covered well. 1 brain fart for their 2nd goal.

Expecting to see teilemens get a roasting if zaniolo is after tonight. On the pitch 25 minutes and played them through on goal twice.

  7. Duran dropping to far deep at times but has played decent as has zaniolo.

Disappointed with the wall, in fact with the free kick and the wall but we have played better than I was expecting.

If we can keep a forward presence we stand a chance of grabbing a goal.

  8. In 2 minds about the team put out.

On one hand we have Brentford on Saturday at home, a game we should be winning so protecting 3 or 4 of the first team for that.

On the other hand we can't afford to lose by much if we are to lose and maybe putting out a weaker team could make the result worse than it need be.

Fingers crossed we can upset them and win 🤞🤞🤞

  9. Vital he is supported for the last part of the season as he may have to play a lot more minutes than he has been getting.

Looked very good yesterday, covering, blocking, passing and moving forwards.

2 good chances to score both on target and made the keeper do his job.

The contributions from duran and zaniolo for goal 2 was massive.

  10. A solid enough display from pretty much every player. Odd sky repeatedly blamed the only wolves shot as a miss and not a save.

Bizarre in fact, not at any stage in the entire game was it called a save, only a miss.

Watkins off is hopefully precaution or protection rather than an injury.

Duran looked decent and caused them some issues but some poor decision making or execution, zaniolo was good when he came on and could have grabbed a couple goals but for their keeper, was disciplined in attack and defence.

Digne brought some stability to the left side and played well.

Great goal by diaby and a fluke by konsa but from a good passage of play from winning the ball back the drive forwards the pass to diaby and then onto konsa.

Very happy with the win , we just need to keep picking up the points.

  11. I see saka has pulled out of the England squad. No doubt he will be fully fit after the break.

As much as I would like to see watkins in an England shirt, I would rather he did the same for these friendlies with ' an injury'.

  12. Looked better out wide and seemed to have his pace back in this game. Nice finish and some decent play.

Fingers and toes crossed we see the return of first 10 games diaby.

Archer is injured, that's why he's not playing. I think the last game he played he scored In the 3-1 win at Luton. I get the ffp stuff but you look at Liverpool and hoe their young players have come in and done a great job. Maybe they have better ones than us.

They can keep their best youngsters as they are not having to do it due to their huge income. We've kept Tim and if he steps up he will stay next season, if he under performs he most likely gets sold.

I like him, he's got good skills can shoot and tackle well. Hopefully we stop this long ball way of playing we have began doing and he will fit in.

We sold off a lot of our best youngsters which we could hsve done with now. One not bu choice of course who isn't getting much game time at Chelsea.  It's a policy which has come back to bite us. A young player from the academy is far more likely to show the necessary commitment than many loanees who come on high wages. Time to give this lad a chance.

Archer who doesn't get starts for one of the worst teams in the Premier league ?

Ramsey whose out injured 90% of the time and doesn't get starts when he is fit ?

Azaz who isn't getting starts for Middlesbrough?

Or philongene whose playing well in the championship ?

Just wondering without hindsight of the injuries we have which we have no control over when planning players and budgets for the season, who, out of the ones we sold this season to generate players like pau coming in would be making a difference ?

The third goal is everything I can't stand about this bloke...He's the fresh legs and he just stops and starts throwing his arms around like a proper **** word removed.

Sooner he is gone the better, I'm fed up of him being brought on as a last roll off the dice to be absolutely **** shit again.

Far more impactive than diaby was, offered more both defensively and ball retention wise and had our only shot on target.

  16. Not his finest game, looked to be acting as the 2nd striker instead of playing out wide. It didn't work, he looked lost in a game he should have been impacting positively.

Baffled as to why we played the tactics we did, long ball and 5 at the back. Nullified our own attack as the players were isolated.

He was actually trying today - very hard to influence the game 2-0 then down to 10 men

He's been trying in most games, it hasn't stopped his form nose diving, he couldn't even control a simple pass when put through. Nothing is going right for him, he's either got some major issues going on outside of football or he's just having a huge stinker which has lasted 5 months or so now. Today he was awful again.

  18. Tactics wise was wrong today and player wise was wrong today.

Wish I'd gone out for bloody mothers day now 🤦

Teilemens on the left doesn't work, it just doesn't. Against poor opposition you can get away with his lack of energy, against strong sides you can't.

    Bailey central ?

    5 at the back ?

Lost the midfield battle as soon as that team sheet was published.

Mcginns red card, it looked to me like he was late but caught him with his knee rather than booting him but only saw it from one angle. No complaints with the red though.

Zaniolo and big Tim did ok when they came on, diaby was a total disaster.

You know its a terrible day when werner scores

Some self reflection required from the manager, down to all the players after that.

  19. Tough one, it's touch and go and will go down right to the wire

If I'm allowed to watch the game or the wife insists on us going out for a mother's day meal 🤦

O.k so he can impact a game v Spurs for a specific period at least.

I can't see us selling him anyway. Emery doesn't trust Tim fully for run of the mill prem games so feels a bit of a stretch he'll suddenly be starting big CL games home or away next season which is more likely if we're selling experienced midfielders like Donk and Tielemans.

We won't sell Tielemans unless man utd or Liverpool offer big money for him, by all accounts he's settled in the Midlands as is his family, we dont need to sell him and hes a good player. He just doesn't have the athleticism to last more than 65 mins or so in a physical or high tempo game against quality opposition. Doesn't make him a bad player, he just needs to be used wisely so for me I wouldn't be starting him against a spurs team that start 100 miles an hour and try and play like that all game. After 50 or 60 minutes they normally tire which would be a good time to bring him on.

We could use mcginn further up field for the first half and have a stronger athlete in there next to Dougie and then make the changes as and when. Tim being one of the only other players we can use in midfield especially if Ramsey is being rested or out.

Tielemans for the last 30 or even 45 depending on how the games going would be ideal, I also expect he will have played at least 60 mins or so v ajax a few days before.
