I didn’t see an awful lot wrong with it, a clumsy collision between keeper and striker. Mullins unlucky to have gotten a rare reaction to it.

Same injury grealish got in the Championship preseason and it kept him out for months.

Nope it was kidney, just checked .

  2. He needs a chance. He's done a couple seasons on loan in the Championship and a loan to non league.

He will get minutes if we don't sign another CF and is more the finisher than hold up player.

I'm sure the team will have different ways of playing and one of those ways will include having a forward who is put through rather than fighting for the ball or holding it up.

Give him the first half of the season to train with and play with the 1st team and if he's not up to scratch then I'm sure loads of teams would want to loan him.

It also seems we sign players that our manager(s) don't want. Sanson never got a chance under Smith so it's safe to conclude he wasn't part of the decision to sign him.

At the time there were 3 people involved in signings, deano said so himself, they had a WhatsApp group where they would make suggestions on transfers. I imagine if 2 out of 3 said yes then it meant they would try and sign the player.

Now it will be just 2 who make the decisions and I imagine they would both have to agree ?

Didn’t realise he was that old… if he’s happy to be backup to Emi then it’s a great shout!

PSG loaned him to Forest last season, maybe we could do a similar deal…

We badly need to replace Olsen, he’s too nervous and calamitous! I’d go as far to say that he could derail our season if he’s required to play a significant run of games - if Emi is injured or suspended.

There is no greater downgrade in the squad than Olsen coming in for him.

    It’s urgent!

His psg wages are reported to be 200k as he was signed as one of the best keepers in the world 4 years ago.

I'm guessing he would want a 2 or even 3 year contract on 100k which is alot for a sub keeper but if we could get him on loan and he's happy for 10 games or so for this season and the same sort of deal forest got of 100k paid by psg I would snap him up.

Not rating Kamara among our best players proves he's clueless.

Torres was a huge coup for us though. Without Emery, we'd have had no chance. And if City etc were in for him, they would have got him, we're not there yet!

Not that journos seem to know much but last year it was widely reported city were after him, and a few other teams and he rejected the chance to move.

If its not man utd or champions league related he is clueless. Regular slagger off of mount but thinks he's great now they signed him 🤣🤣

  6. My man ure mate genuinely can't understand how we got torres, he says his form must of dropped massively as Madrid Liverpool man ure City were all after him 2 years ago.

I have tried to explain he played for his home club and wanted to play for them in the champions league which he got to do but he's having none of it, it must be a drop in form 🤣

He's also convinced we have just 2 decent players, him and martinez and that martinez will be off to the 1st big club who want him. Again I've explained he has already said he credits villa alot for his chance which got him into the 1st team with Argentina and the ongoing club improvements and he wouldn't have won the 4 triphoes he has ( or 5 ? ) since joining villa.

I think his views may change after a few months of the season starting 🤣

  7. Just watched 20 mins worth of his positive contributions, reminds me alot of a young zaha, the skill pace and forward drive if a little raw. Would be happy if we got him in.

  8. Can see this being around 1.5 million plus 25% sell on. Whittaker was on loan to Plymouth last season, and just like azaz, was key to them getting promoted.

If we don't extend his contract, he is off and will wish him well. Kessler is already on loan at Plymouth for this season and exeter have signed sinisalo for the season, so at least there will be a bit of Villa down here in Devon.

Good, hopefully this kicks off a few more outgoings.

Clear out some space and free up funds for higher quality arrivals…

    Yep

Good luck marve ( not at our expense)

Just another 4 or 5 to get off the books at least ideally.

I'm sorry but he could essentially be tripling his take home salary in Saudi Arabia compared to what it would be here. It's very very hard to say no to that. It could be even more if you are talking 300-400k a week

That it may be, but all Newcastle and Chelsea will have to do is get their owners to outbid any rivals to stop anyone else from strengthening.

So the players will keep in shape playing and training in the desert for 2 years and then if they are still good, given to Newcastle and Chelsea.

Not only to circumnavigate ffp but to damage and weaken any club challenging the top 4.

Only way to stop it is do what cricket did to stop players going for bumper money to South Africa during apartide , ban them from euro club and national games.

If they can't play back in Europe for 3 years it will make a lot of the younger players think twice about going there.

  11. Just throwing it out there, would people be happy if we moved him on for 20 million ?

Considering his age, his injury and the amount he cost, would that be more helpful than us than keeping him as 4th choice ?

  12. Jesus they don't like passing the forwards the ball. Only watched the last 15 but archer burst through 6 times in the time I saw and every time it was delayed and lost possession or balls gone out instead of pass him the ball.

Only scored as he created 90% of it himself.

Good work and looked dangerous the entire time I watched, shame some of the players don't release the ball 5 seconds quicker, when he turns his marker and is clearly anticipating a throughball.

Nah he is at the very least equal to Buendia who is our best forward.

I just wouldn’t want to pay more than half the price they are asking for him.

He's the sort of player we would have been looking at if we hadn't finished where we did. I would think our targets are more often than not going to be the more 'finished' players or players with a far higher potential.

We've done the middle of the league transfers many times and it's hit or miss and never really had a good resale to signing ratio. I expect that to change and we have more hits than misses.

We need our 1st team signings to now be either young and very high prospects or players that have impressed over time and an improvement on what we have.

To me he doesn't now fit into either category, especially at any more than 25 million and that would be a big gamble.

Looks a decent player but emery will want more than a decent player.

  14. I've been using the turkish psn for a year or so, the crash in turkish lira has made digital games purchasing worth while.

You can sign up to the turkish one and any game you buy will link in with your uk account if both accounts are on your ps5

Especially when they misprice games which for pre orders happens a fair bit ( new assasons creed was 599 lira so around 19 quid)

Anyone else using a turkish psn alongside their UK one ?

I didn't listen to that, personally. To suggest that anyone is minimising rape is nonsense. It's a horrible crime, obviously. But the law is the law, and he wasn't convicted. He will be legally allowed to play.

Yes. No one is suggesting otherwise, are they? But there is a difference between someone with a history of criminal sexual assault convictions and a younger adult with a charge thrown out. But the fact is, as far as the law sees it, he is not a rapist.

The charge wasn't thrown out, the victim got paid off, no doubt a million or so quid and then withdrew her complaint and without the victims complaint the cps wouldn't run it as a victimless prosecution.

I recall people not wanting bissouma who was being investigated because his mate felt a girls arse in a night club, so I would imagine the percentage of fans in the uk wanting greenwood to play for them is less than 1%.

I've been on flights where people start clapping because the plane has landed.

Showing appreciation to your fellow supports is **** all compared to that nonsense.

They are the same people who clap and cheer in the cinema.

Different type of person to applauding fellow fans who also turned up each game, especially through some of the darker years.
