  1. Moretti is OK (IIRC it's owned by Heineken)... bog-standard lager, but since it's imported it tends to be pricier than domestics (unless you happen to find a store that got conned by a salesman into buying a pallet of it and is putting it on clearance). It's lot in life (at least Stateside) is in pizzerias for those who don't like Peroni.

I put the perroni back for this, im a take it over to my mates to watch the chelski game tomorrow.

  2. From the angles provided on the replay it looks as if none of the officials could have saw it. However, like you say, the reaction was so genuine from the Irish players that if I was ref, I would actually have asked Henry and given him a chance to be honest. With a call of that magnitude, all it would have taken was a cool head and a minute to call him over( actually talk to both captains) and see if they could be professional about it. Failing that, video replay. Don't give a shit that they can't be used officially. I would have gone to the monitor in the dug-outs and saw for myself, called it back and got on with it. I may have lost my job after the game for doing that from all those FIFA cronies resisting technology in the game but I tell you, I bet if one day, one ref does that, he'd be applauded all over the world for being brave enough to do the common sense thing.

This was from a mate of mine after i said that surely one of the officals mussed have sussed something from the reaction of the Irish players. Love what he was saying about what he would have done.

  3. For Levi im drinking Sam Adams Boston lager. Missus drinking blue moon. Till she tried the Sam, now she "likes yours better". Cheers.

    :thumb:

(never really got into Blue Moon... though semi-craft brews from mainstream brewers aren't my thing, the whole Belgian-style bit isn't to my liking (I haven't found a Belgian beer that wasn't at least somewhat overrated))

Aye blue moon is shite. But i do like the Sam, i was drinking it ooop north earlier in the summer. Lovely. I need to start drinking it more. Any other Sam brews worth trying Levi? I know they do a few.

  4. I love the concept of Hooters - it's a great shame their only branch over here is in Nottingham... but it's not that far away so I think I may give a try! Does anyone know if Hooters will be expanding branches over in England?

Went there on my last trip back, to save you trawling thru the pages to find the pics :

The blonde in the middle was our server and was lovely, we got fairly mullered!

  5. Trim: Never seen Villa shirt in any sports shop, but then again I don't really go to those shops often either so...I get my Villa gear from the club over internet.

Its tough, Eurosport (mail order) has em, and some Nike outlets. I bought the 3rd strip in Orlando last xmas.

  6. At hooters after getting our National Championship rings. Im on far right looking at it.

    rings1l.jpg

The world Rock-Paper-Scissors championships is still going strong then?

Look like a bunch o fpaps i know, but NATIONAL CHAMPS BABY! (and numerous big daddy-yes there called that-Stellas)

No wonder you **** won. With that lot against schoolkids how did no-one you'd put in a few ringers?

When we walked in, there was a college soccer team in eating after a game, they noticed the rings and you could see them thinking bloody hell these lads are big, in the pic from L-R :

Chumah - Played for the U-20 Kenyan national team, played Div I college soccer, Quality. Assistant Coach

Alex - Will sign a Div I college soccer scholarship, 2 time ESP selection, High school senior, my skipper

David - Team Chaplin and my missus dad!

Front-Recio- Game day operations chief and assistant athletic director at the high school

Back-Ozzie -Director of soccer and assistant principal at the high school

Santiago - Playing college soccer now, lovely kid

Front-Graham-My JV coach, from MIlton keynes, Chelski fan, so yes gave him a ton of abuse, ex player at uni in England

Back-Den-Signed with Wofford college, current high school senior

Me-Played Division I college soccer and now a big fat old man ;)

  7. Did the guy in the middle not get one? :)

Yeah, he did! Dont know why hes not blinging it!

Lord knows you love Hooters Dom...

    No joke, i love it!

It really is boss here in Rock Hill, some of them can be real snooty and not sociable, but weve drunk there ever since day 1 of it opening, so the guvnor knows us, and all the birds know were sound, so banter is flying everywhere.

Ive had to get off the big mugs of Stella though that you see in the pic, were killing methe next day.

  8. Friedel - 8 - Shocking mistake for the goal, but ended up working for us at he was immense for the rest of the game.

Cueller - 8 - Not a RB, but needed his experience and steady head back there, got stuck in.

Dunne - 10 - How good was he today? As good as Collins.

Collins - 10 - How good was he today? As good as Dunne.

Warnock - 9 - Best LB on the pitch today.

Young - 6 (9 for his work) - Nothing came off for him today, poor decision making, bad technically. But worked his socks off.

Petrov- 10 - Ive criticised him in the past. But he was the best CM on the pitch today.

Sidwell - 8 - Worked hard, good use of the ball, played his part in a great win today

Milner - 8 - Worked his socks off, good use of the ball, could give him this rating every game. Love it.

Agbonhalor - 9 -Put the absolute shits up possibly the best back four in the world (bar ours obv), Strong as an ok, and a tiny bit rapid.

Carew - 7 - Fits and starts, but aseeing him track back and tackle Drogba fairly, made me smile

MON and staff - 10- knew all about Chelsea and there system, fantastic preperation.

Ref - 3 - Bottled the biggest decision that could have cost us points. got better, but if that would have cost us the game, he would have been lynched by MON!

What a lovely game, we played with skill, pace, passion and desire. Followed the game plan tactically, and every man worked there socks off. Chelsea are a VERY good team, and will take points on the road all season long, Everybody asociated with AVFC can be very proud today.
