Winter Ale?
Do you mean the Winter Lager or the Old Fezziwig Ale (which is basically the Winter Lager but done as a fuller-bodied ale with more spice... in short Old Fezziwig is basically Winter Lager to the nth power)?
(or is it just that it's so good you forget that it's a lager?)
LOL, dis!
meant winter lager

They had a winter 12 pack selection at the outdoor tonight, i nearly bought it for the old fezziwig, thats next on my list! Tell you what, i love these Sam Adams beers, dont know what ive been missing. Best part, they do the Boston Lager on tap in hooters, Charlotte Hooters has the winter ale. oh happy days!
can you buy it in the UK? If not i might take some back for the auld lad.

Richard Dunne listens to James Milner. Richard Dunne is a double hard bastard. James Milner has Richard Dunnes back.

Now that I'm working Up North, one of the compensations is a much more developed beer culture (thanks to the half of Franklin County aka South Vermont that are hippies... the others being hillbillies).
Ryan & Casey Liquors looks like a blue-collar old-school packie, but the beer selection is amazing (and where I picked up tonight's goodies).
I want to go to The People's Pint at some point.
Coming back with beer like this makes the 45-minute commute worth it.
That Farmer Brown from peoples pint sounds luvvly jubbly.

I must say that I highly recommend the Long Shot Double IPA. 10% abv, but the alcohol really sneaks up on you.
Basically Sam Adams had a contest for homebrewers to get their beers brewed and sold by Sam Adams. This one is from Mike McDole of California.
It's been 90 minutes or so since I last had one, and I just sniffed the bottle for the hoppy aroma... stunningly good.
Next up: the Traditional Bock...
Thats pretty cool, where do you get all these beers from Levi? The sotres here are pants for good unique brews.

General,
Credit where credit is due. David Harper-Smith was in touch this morning to assist in my ticket problem. He handled the transaction seamlessly and with great customer serivce.
I now have tickets for Stoke and Liverpool and can relax knowing the best part of my xmas break is sorted!
Cheers

The children of Tony Blair have all applied for and received Irish passports.
Why is that?
I was thinking about applying for an Irish passport so i could enter the green card lottery, but found out tha in roder to enter on an Irish passport you had to have been born in the emerald isle. Hairy muff i suppose.

General,
On October 8th i posted this in your thread:
General (or others if you are ITK!),I am flying in from the USA for the Burnley and Liverpool games, Ive tried to email Nicky Keye, and also Katrina Admason who was so helpful the last time i flew across for a game. I know they must be busy, i just like to get my ducks in a row!
What is the best way for a overseas traveller to get tickets for these games, i realise i may just be able to walk up and buy for the Burnley game, but coming all that way on the 'off chance' doesnt sit well with me!
I do have family members in Brum, but wanted to get some of these family tickets as a surprise/gift.
Pm me if you need my details to pass on to those who could help.
Cheers
Dom
For Burnley, should have read Stoke game!
Just thought id let you know if the difficulty i have in obtaining tickets for the Stoke game on 19th Dec.
* On October 8th i received an email from Katrina Adamson (who has been helpful) facilitating the process of being able to buy tickets.
* On October 30th I got a response from Katrina asking me to email general sales and quote David Harper-Smith, and Scott Paul. Which i did.
* On Nov emeber 11th the Very helpful Phil Moore took my 2 bookings (Uncle who has always sent me Villa stuff in post while i have been in America and my Dad who is driving 3 hours up from Weymouth) for 1874 hospitality packages at a wonderful price. Still no reply from my general email about regular Stoke tickets.
* Middle of Nov still not heard from anybody so asked Phil Moore to see if he could get somebody to contact me. He did so.
* On Nov 23rd still not heard from anybody so emailed Phil again, he was very prompt in reply and had said he will chase them down for me again.
* Now 1st of December, still no contact from anybody.
Dont really want you to do anything General, dont even know if this is normal waiting time, But when im flying thousands of miles and specifically taking time off work to follow the Villa, the thought of not being able to sort tickets out after nearly 2 months of trying has left me a bit baffled. Especially when i managed to get the more expensive tickets booked within 24 hours (great job to Phil Moore again).
Guess i will just chance my arm of buying 3 tickets for me, my girlfriend and my cousin at the door.
Cheers

A point to throw in here. Bar a goal that should have not stood, we would have had 3 points.
To be fair Dom, they deserved a goal. We were heavily outplayed in the second half and they had chances. It would of been robbery if we won that.[/quote
Mate you are spot on.
Just think that if wed have got three pints today (and should of in terms of the decision) then were living the old adage of Man Utd - "playing bad and winning is the sign of a good team".

Moretti is OK (IIRC it's owned by Heineken)... bog-standard lager, but since it's imported it tends to be pricier than domestics (unless you happen to find a store that got conned by a salesman into buying a pallet of it and is putting it on clearance). It's lot in life (at least Stateside) is in pizzerias for those who don't like Peroni.
I put the perroni back for this, im a take it over to my mates to watch the chelski game tomorrow.
What's your tipple this evening then?
