NRC has got to be the worst CM I've seen play for the Villa in possession of the ball. His choice of pass is poor, and even if it reaches the intended plyer it is usually behind them or poorly paced.

Brussels does all the xmas market kind of things. Book early and it should be cheap on the Eurostar.

Buses are fairly easy. Certainly not missing a game over.

We weren't at the races 1st half, finding it difficult to break down a side who'd set out their stall. Pires and Albrighton were terrible 1st 45.

2nd half, very good, although Blackburn were poor. Young, Pires, Downing, Albrighton, Walker in particular playing very well. MOTM Young.

To me Pires was the one player who looked like making something happen in the first half whilst the rest labored. In no way would I call him terrible.

You'd probably get a much cheaper train with London Midland

We got 9 nights for £1100 each in August, but hotel hadn't opened when we booked so there were special deals.

Depends what you want to see and if you want to rest at any point.

With such a hard game behind them and a lot of our players still getting back to match fitness, I think sunderland's extra day rest could be a factor.

Beckham signing would be great news for Crouch. All those long diagonal balls from the half way line means that he will surely be first choice.

The players have worked hard for the last few seasons, they have shown determination, grit and a huge amount of balls. they were a team that were never beaten.

The team have beaten all of the big sides and come within a grasp of silverware.

Now their manager has left and has been replaced by someone who critises them openly in the press and has tried to change everything about the way they play. I'm sure they used to pride themselves on their set piece record at both ends and now it is a shambles. He clearly has vendettas against some players based on previous encounters and is out to prove a point.

I'm not saying the current attitude of player is acceptable or correct, but to say they get paid a fortune so they should always perform is a simplistic way of looking at things. When i've ha d a new boss in the past who acted like a git my effort reduced and I did what I had to do instead of going the extra mile.

Looking at the players in all the games this year I am off the opinion that Jose Mourinho or anyone would not have many more points than we have now. They are just not good enough. Yes we got 6 th twice but circumstances of the league and other teams helped with that IMO. (I am well aware the common response is going to be "Yeah but MON got 6th with this lot", if MON had not left we would still be where we are now, hard pill to swallow but there you go. reality hurts sometimes.
