  1. Quite possible the worst player at Liverpool right now. Certainly for me anyway. I would do better in that position.
  2. When he came through at Barca, Pep took him under his wing, looked after him and gave him advice, etc. Arteta wanted to play like him, cos Pep was his hero growing up. Things change over time and people progress in different ways when they move to new clubs, probably why he isn't like him now. There was a rumour he wanted to leave for personal reasons (although nothing was confirmed) but things were changing and starting to look up, now this has come out and shook it all back up again. I'll hold fire until I hear something more. In other news, Liverpool's proposed new man in the boardroom wants to sign Lionel Messi Says the Daily Fail You gotta love the tabloids.
  3. Aurelio back to Liverpool - WTF? Not annoyed or anything, I always said he was decent but I've never seen us do that before. We resigned Ian Rush many years ago but that was after a year! Weird.
  4. Gar that is complete b*llox. How the hell did Liverpool 'ruin' him?
  5. You wouldn't be interested in little SWP? I don't think he's that bad. He just needs to settle in and get a few games under his belt, I think he'd be perfect at Villa. Young on one side, SWP on the other, not too bad mate. I only wish he wasn't the size of a subbuteo player.
  6. Shaun Wright Phillips on his way to Villa as part of the Milner deal - did I hear correctly on some Manc radio station there?
  7. No way! Surprised, I thought he was going to Celtic. I find Sol Campbell to be a bit weird in the head area. He just aint right.
  8. This is hit and miss. He could stay injury free for a couple of seasons and be a great signing or he could be an expensive employee in the treatment room. Kewell made a habit of it when he wore the no.7 shirt. Still though, some positive news for once. I was starting to lose the will to live.
  9. Watch Memento - it is tremendous.
  10. If people are allowed to make their own apps then it should be tightly controlled. I read during the week that certain iPhone apps are actually spyware or some sort of sh*t like that. Peoples details been taken off their phone, i don't know how they're doing it but surely that should be a simple enough warning for Google. If people want to do their own apps then they should all be tested for compliance and safety. I rarely download unauthorised apps unless I've put some research into them first. You made a HUGE mistake getting an android phone then. I don't really get what you mean by "unauthorised apps" as 99% of the market is what you could call "unauthorised apps" with "authorised" ones being the ones installed on a vanilla android install or made by google. Anything else, including the sense UI HTC phones come with, the facebook, twitter, and just about every other app is "unauthorised" because there is no authorisation process. Android is extremely safe in that an app has to ask permission to be able to do anything. If you install an app that's asking for access to your contacts your messages and the internet, when it really has no need for any of them, then don't install it. Apps on the market are also scanned for malicious code so you'd find it extremely rare to find any spyware on android. Essentially, you should have got an iphone if you want "authorised" apps because there is not and never will be a review process for apps on android, it goes completely against the openness of the platform. So Apple have authorised apps that have fleeced people's details off their phone? Yeah, should have gone with them so. I think it's all about common sense at the end of the day. You can be 99.9% sure that popular apps (which I only download) are 'spyware' or 'virus' free. I'm not saying they have malicious code on them but if they've managed it on Apple then they can surely manage to 'infect' on open source platform like Android. I made the right choice in Android, believe me.

  12. HTC are making BILLIONS it's been reported. I have my desire just over a month now, it's just effin brilliant. I got it for £20 a month through Vodafone's twitter account, free handset too. Great deal, couldn't pass it up. I'm not going to slate the iPhone because it is a great phone, of course it is but I'm so glad I went the Android route. Everyone who has had a play around with my Desire has been stunned. The camera on it is amazing, it is so sharp. The screen is what I can only describe as 'vibrant' and that's not a word I'd use everyday. It fires through the menu's so rapidly, there's no sluggishness. Throw in some brilliant apps like barcode scanner, navigator, meebo, metal detector , Layar, Maps, google street view, IMDb, Flickster Movies (Amazing), mPlayer (iPlayer), Spotify, Shazaam, Texas Hold Em, Wavesecure, YouTube, ChompSMS (SMS but with the iPhone interface), Google Goggles and Google SkyMap amongst many others and you are in for an experience and a half. It's like a mobile computer, the Wifi feature is brilliant, I know it's on every phone these days but it's a great feature because it doesn't benefit the network at all, it just helps the user use the internet more freely instead of having to rely on 3G and using up their monthly allowance, lets face it, we're never far from a free WiFi connection these days. I used 10Meg of my monthly allowance last month, 10 measly meg. You buy the Desire and you will never regret it.
  13. i heard both are off to liverpool. No they're not. That's just silly.
  14. Schweinsteiger has been immense during this tournament, absolutely quality. Villa has definitely had his fair share of moments and runs him close but Schweinsteiger is out on his own on this one.
  15. Probably wise. I've uninstalled it, going to wait for the next free release. Darn it!
  16. hahaha What a nightmare, began texting and now I'm told it's expired and I need to update!! Oh dear lord.
  17. Don you Daisy! Thanks for that. This may change the way I text forever. I'd normally text like this when pi$$ed anyway, at least now I'll make some sense
  18. Ah good man Don, I'll try that when my Desire finally restarts!
  19. I just used my barcode scanner to scan the first barcode Don put up a few pages back, installed no problem. I just cant find it. WHat's a rooted phone? A jailbroke one? Maybe I'll just restart the phone
  20. Nah I'm buggered, I've gone into the main settings and sorted that out but when I go back to send a text message I can't select Swype. Strange.
  21. I'm a knob, I found it in settings. McFlyyyyyyyyyy!!
  22. I've installed Swype on my Desire successfully but how do I actually start to use it? I can't activate it or see it on my app page. Any ideas lads?
  23. Cheers Don, just browsing back over the thread now.
  24. Is Swype free and available on the desire? I can't find it in the app market!
