  1. Apologies if I came across as a dick, not looking to beat anyone over the head for their comments.
  2. It was the one comment which rankled with me and I wanted to ask him if he still stood by what he said. I'm not on some "I told you so" witchhunt.
  3. Tim, you know the REAL truth do you? Please share.
  4. "Fans left to die, children tested for alcohol and dead checked for criminal records. And people question why families fought for this day? " Yes, the Justice campaign was a ploy to line the grieving parents pockets. Whoever implied that in this thread, can't be arsed going back to check, needs to have a serious word with themselves. I just hope today goes some way to educating the younger, naive people into what happened really happened that day.
  5. BOF I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to see that match last night as it wasn't on UK TV but I heard we played well for a, well, second string side. I'd rather not go to the World Cup with that senior side and watch us play that way. The Euro's was a joke. We can't treat every tournament simply as a piss up. I hated us in Euro 2012. No heart, no ideas, dreadful and I'd rather we missed out on qualification that be put through them performances again. It is actually bad for your health to sit and watch a Trapattoni side these days and I'd rather we had a young, fresh side playing in the group stages, bedding them in, getting ready for tournaments of the future.
  6. Bickster, you obviously don't need to read this but certain people on this forum need to know the facts because basically what I'm reading is disgusting. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/hillsborough-documents-released-brian-reade-1318730
  7. Are you **** serious? Are you actually 9 years old?
  8. Further reading, if you fancy it... http://hfdinfo.com/digital/
  9. Can you not wait a day for the documents to be released? Maybe then you'll get your answer.
  10. I've been watching ROI all my life, I love them of course. I remember great moments like O'Leary (yes him!) scoring against Timofte in 1990, Robbie Keane's last gasp goal against the Germans in 2002 but I must say, watching Ireland play these days is actually a chore. We are diabolical. I know we're limited in terms of talent and Trap can only use what's at his disposal but do we have to play like that? A team with absolutely no clue whatsoever. Nothing against Trap, he's one of the most successful managers in the game, he's won nearly everything and he got us to a major tournament for the first time in 10 years but that Kazakhstan games ranks up there with the 0-0 with Liechtenstein and he needs to mix it up a bit. I can't see any positives in the team, our forwards are gank, our defence is marshalled by Sean St Ledger and John O'Shea and our midfield, oh my Christ. Woeful. We need Stephen Ireland, McCarthy, McClean all playing regularly (I hear S Ireland is up for a return) and if we can get the likes of Clark in as well then the future for Irish football may not be so eye-gougingly atrocious. I was keeping tabs on the St Pats score on Friday night too and it's sad really when you have the national team playing AND the Irish club sides all playing on the same night. I think I'll give the friendly against Oman at Craven Cottage a miss tonight though and do some gardening.
  11. Sorry, but this is nonsense, and sums up the very "victim mentality" that constantly emanates from many LFC fans. Whatever blame is attached to the police, there can be no doubt that bad behaviour by fans contributed massively to what happened. It could have been any club - I would have said exactly the same thing if they had been Villa fans (we have as many dickheads as anybody else). An "outpouring of sympathy" may be due to the bereaved families, but to paint the fans in that ground as little angels persecuted by the LFC-hating establishment is just absurd. You missed my point completely mate.
  12. The fact that vital evidence has been covered up for 23 years should tell you a lot about what's gone on here. If it was any other club there'd be an outpouring of sympathy from the whole country but because its Liverpool and peoples perception of them they don't stand a chance. The real truth will be released on Wednesday and hopefully the families can finally find some closure. There are certain people on this thread who need to grow up. They need to put their hatred of a football club aside and just look at what this really was - a tragedy of monumental proportions. 96 people including kids died. Justice for those 96.
  13. Some of the comments I've read on here are absolutely disgusting.

Looking at that first 11 on Sunday I was actually quite happy. I'm not happy with our defence though but ask 90% of our fans and they'll say it's working. No it's not. I was happier when Agger wasn't central defence. You can see how rusty Carragher is getting now with the lack of games, I'd even go as far to say his confidence is dashed a bit but him and Skrtel were rock solid together. Skrtel and Agger, good players in their own right but they're not working as a solid defensive partnership. After watching them hold their own against City the other week it filled me with a lot more confidence but then an inferior Arsenal side come to town and we make them (and especially DIABY!!!) look like Barcelona of 2 years ago. It'll be just like us to go out and beat Utd at our next home game (another team on the decline but that's a debate for another day). One thing is for sure, we won't beat Sunderland away. I'd go as far as to say that that game is a lot more daunting than the visit of Utd. I think Liverpools next win in the league will be the Reading game in October, by then we'll be propping up the table and the knives will be well and truly sharpened for Mr Rodgers, who deserves a crack of the whip in my opinion. I hope the Villa fans as well get behind Lambert, you could have something special there and I think he should be given time. As a footnote can I just say that I absolutely detest football and it's quite literally ruining my weekends now.

I find it hilarious that people are laughing and writing them off after three games. Three games into a new managers league career with a new club. What hope do managers have in this day and age? Andre Villas Boas, there's another who was booed at the weekend. If Villa lost on Sunday you can be sure that the idiot fans (that every club has) would have been seriously calling for his head. Lambert and Rodgers deserve more. They definitely deserve more than what some tw@t fans at each club are throwing at them. Bloody know-alls.

Facepalm. They just don't get it. Even Barcelona went through hard times when the revolution into their current guise happened. Until Liverpool fans accept the hardship that is required in order to bring them into the 21st century, they'll be stuck in the past. Which is probably where they feel most comfortable. How come it's only the nut job fans' comments that get magnified? I for one don't agree with any of the quotes that have been written above yet they're the one's the rival fans will see as bible. They don't represent ALL fans views.
  17. Thing is, Owen is the kind of person who would go back to Liverpool. This image will never leave me.
  18. I'd rather we were able to call Carroll off the bench whenever we needed him. No use to us at West Ham.
  19. I don't like Mark Hughes. I honestly think he doesn't have a clue what he's doing there, another club with too much money and Hughes is like a kid in a sweet shop. For all his signings they'll still be battling to stay in the league. He'll be gone within the year.

Before Sunday - 8th at best. After Sunday - 5th at best.
  21. Agree with everything you say BOF. The whole system needs looking into. Who's Paul Green by the way? He's just been called up too. Great Summer of sports ahead with the Euro's and the Olympics. Well, I hope they're great of course, who knows how that Olympics will go.
  22. You should hear yourself sometimes Trent.
