  1. The game moves on and theres a reason why nobody has employed hoddle for so many years, its the same reason Big Sam and god himself Pulis wont be managing in a decade.

That would be the tactical genius who pulled Palace away from needing snookers then watched them take the piss out of us twice ? Cheers pal. Not the brightest are you ?

  2. Him leaving will be the start of us getting back up the table

So it's all been Gabby's fault all along!! Now you tell us ;)

No it hasn't, but happy clappers like you haven't helped, regaling us with tales of his perennial half decent performance every year at Arsenal. Like most Villa fans with a modicum of sense, I am sick of hearing how this guy is 'one of us', like its a free pass-out to be a lazy b'stard every week. He is not good enough for our club - actually words fail me as to how he ever got a professional contract.

I hear reports of an improved contract being offered to this parody of a player ? Shame on anyone who thinks he deserves it.....you're as much of a disgrace as him...

  3. I also now pick and choose games, preferably away games as the 'day out' is infinitely more pleasurable than the turgid football served up over the last few seasons. Interesting to read that many of the 'yes' camp seem to renew only because of some gaping void that may appear in their life, if they don't go ? Not knocking them, having been a STH, steward and Villa diehard for so long myself - think I've been kinda dumbed down now by the apathy from the people who run our club.

  4. A ridiculous set of circumstances - whilst hardly setting the world on fire, Hutton certainly isn't the worst right back I've seen at VP in over 40 years of watching them. He seems to have decent games whenever I see him in a Scotland shirt and to my knowledge, has never moaned to the press about his predicament other than the usual agent-led article to remind people he's still alive. He wouldn't be my first choice, but with Lowtons demise this season and the Bacuna experiment at right back being a spectacular failure, I'm not sure why he hasn't at least had a look-in in Cup games to get him in the shop window ? To now hear that because he's on £40k a week means he won't get games is frankly laughable.....we've been paying Gabby more than this for best part of a decade for his 15 game seasons without a second thought.....and for some of the clowns on here to say that he should just leave to make it easy for us, is equally laughable. In most other walks of life, the seeds of a constructive dismissal claim would have been well sown by now - I'm sure Hutton would go almost anywhere to be part of a first team squad by now, but why should he piss money down the drain to help a toy town outfit balance the books, considering the way he's been treated?

    What?

Which part of that didn't you understand ?

  5. Gnabry, Zelalem and even Walcott, Wilshere and The Ox were the players I was talking about. Lambert hasn't looked like taking a chance on any of the teenagers at Villa.

Wenger may not be a great advocate of English players but he has proven that he will give opportunities to players who play his way, particularly in the cups.

...very much this. Not so very long ago, we had a team of kids that won Europe's premier youth tournament. How many have kicked a first team ball.....meanwhile, we trawl Europe for cheap squad fillers of limited ability just to fill our bench. Ridiculous.

  6. 2 on loan ?....that's it ?.....lazy management. If our manager doesn't think he needs anyone else to improve us he is sadly deluded. Not a reaction to no action on deadline day, we've had a month to beef up a fairly lightweight squad......but hey ho, wel go again....the current squad are working their nuts off, but no help from upstairs it seems....

  7. Samba Diakite may be available I think on a free (correct me if im wrong) due to QPR letting him go. Central defender would be a great addition.[/quote

Are you for real ? Done nothing at QPR apart from going home suffering with depression.....wait until he lines up with Baker one side of him and Luna on the other, he'll be depressed then.....are we just plucking names out of a hat now ?

  8. Mick Dennis....the impartial journalist, who just happens to be a Norwich City insider, on the board of their Sports Foundation and a patron of the Supporters Association ?

Let him keep feeding the carrot-crunchers as much shite as their board likes. The fact remains that the lad wants out - and will most likely get his wish sooner rather than later. The cobblers about Lambert wanting to sell both of them is irrelevant- many managers decide to get rid of players to try a new strategy or type of tactics, doesn't mean they never rated them, or won't ever work with them again.

Just another example of a piss ant club trying to play big boys games....zzzzz

  9. Would have loved Zaha here. He is the Player Lambert went for on loan, but shit his pants at his salary. Which I think is 25K a week??

How do you know that or are you stating opinion as fact?

    Yes, do tell.

Someone else on here said it was Lescott?

No it was'nt Lescott, it would have been obvious he is earning way above we could afford. There's also a reason Moyes don't play Zaha, its not public knowledge but some of you may know.

    ....pray do tell ?

  10. Nobby Solano for me. Class.

He had a great season here but best ever? Nah.
I'm not sure what we're judging it by. Cowans in terms of long term servant yes. My view on Nobby was individual talent and skill / technical ability.

In terms of being a winner and a leader, Kevin Richardson would get my vote. Great captain he was.

Possibly one of the funniest posts I've ever read......hilarious

  11. I still think he is a better defender than Lowton. He just needs to learn how to keep a cool head.

He really isn't, Lowton is no world beater but playing Bacuna at right-back is frankly scandalous. I have no idea what they do at BMH during the week, but teaching Bacuna positional sense is way off the curriculum I guess.....he's dreadful.

Ha, ha Cropley, you really have issues with this. Was Kenny Swain a right back?

Bacuna 1v1 defensive is very strong, quick, and aggressive

Lowton not so much IMO. But good crossing.

If we're playing a counter attack game, Bacuna is best right back for me. Attacking Lowton

Comparing Bacuna with Kenny Swain is a bit like comparing Eamon Deacy with Franz Beckenbauer. Nice bloke I'm sure but not in the same district as a player. Be assured, this guy ain't no right back - ability aside, silly little things I noticed today, like fawning all over Suarez in the tunnel then trying to shake his hand after trying to clatter him, fook that son !!.... Be a player !

Agree fully Danishlad. Bacuna is so much better than Lowton when defending against his man. Lowton loses most of his battles down low, Bacuna wins them all.

Leandro's problem is decision making under pressure. It may cost us if he's playing as RB. Other than that, he is a good FB.

    Bacuna RB, Lowton RM.[/quote

    Please stop....he really isnt

  12. A disciplinary issue? If not that then he would probably have been dropped for the defensive issue that was his last performance. Bacuna did great today for all Liverpools momentum in the second half they didn't have many great chances, much more solid defensive display. You feel Bacuna has got a rick in him but definitely got ability to be a fine player

Jesus H Christ......are you serious ? There were stewards closer to the player who Bacuna was supposed to be marking...

...are you on acid ? He was dreadful, every time the ball went near him about 50 of us breathed in.....he has no positional sense whatsoever and when he did that spiral jump in the air with nobody near him ?.....Jesus, what a plank.....

You're either trolling or you're a mental defective.....either way, ask your carer to log you in next time...

  16. You have to laugh.....Tom Cleverley, Premier League winner and England international, but strangely not good enough for us even if we could afford him ? Jesus wept, what do you drongos smoke ?

Have you seen us lately ? We look like a bunch of individuals who've never even met, let alone trained together. But let's keep dismissing guys who can actually play in the vain hope we sign a Jap midfielder plying his trade in the bottom half of the Bundesliga or a Belgian who barely starts in the Portuguese league. A bit more reality and a little less Football Manager I think....

And yet I wouldn't go anywhere near Cleverley. I think that says more about Cleverley than it says about us as fans.

Yes, you're probably right. Why take the opinion of Sir Alex and Roy Hodgson as anything to be considered, when a collective band of car workers, bin men and insurance salesmen know exactly what a 'proper' footballer looks like. (I'm also a car worker by the way, in case anyone gets too precious).
