    A tad off topic but World Cup related - just wasn't sure where to post ; given that our FA and indeed UEFA have known for donkey's years how corrupt FIFA are, can someone explain the wisdom of our FA putting their heads above the parapet 2 days before the start of the World Cup ? Thanks for that......plenty of dubious penalty decisions sure to come our way then.....

    It was only made more laughable when Lord Triesmann (remember him) likened FIFA to a Mafia family.......perhaps he's forgotten how he got his job at the FA?

    My head has gone....after the disappointment of Senderos and potentially Bendtner, for some reason I would be chuffed with Joe Cole....yet I don't know why !!!....

    The bloke really is a wild entrepreneur he;s already talking about sending expeditions to mars building hyperloops and shit

    His net worth is constantly on the rise and sitting currently at 12 bill

    We could also get sponsored by his own company SpaceX or Tesla motors

    I am long past wanting some multi-Billionaire owner. Over the last few months I have come to the conclusion that they are all clearings in the woods who will always be self interested and only treat AVFC as an extension of their already inflated egos. I just want someone who truly LOVES AVFC.

    In fact I find it hard to stomach the way so many fans are willing to almost sell their souls for the want of some rich owner, irrespective of their background or morals, in the quest for honours. Sadly PL clubs are nothing more than pounds of flesh to be traded between rich wan-kers.

    I know all the arguments etc etc - this is just how I feel.

    Stand by to feel disappointed.......or elated depending on your point of view, when the bloke who has the local Big John's Franchise puts his winning bid in......

    Why is everyone so shocked about Senderos. Our owner wants to sell us and there is not a buyer in sight. We will lucky to even sign an International with about 10 years of Premier League experience even if he is as crap as Senderos. Did you really expect Lescott?

    That's a bit like going into a shop to buy a kebab, realising you only have enough money for chips....then saying 'sod it, I'll have a lump of dogshit instead'.....

    I'm probably in the minority but I still think he is much better than Clark and Baker. You don't make 84 appearances for Arsenal, be loaned by AC Milan and have 52 international caps if you are dog shit.

    You may not have heard of Sky Sports or even Match of the Day ? Regrettably, most of us will have seen Senderos being piss poor on any number of occasions, even if you refuse to believe the blatantly obvious.....

    I know we were pretty shite last season, but 'one of our best players' ? Nay, nay and thrice nay....a few cameos towards the end of the season where he started brightly then faded (as usual) does not a good season make. Don't begrudge him getting a few quid, but never ever saw him as the type of player who can take us where we want to go.

    I read about Mr Rich on his company's profile page.....inducted into Frozen Food Hall of Fame, Grocers Hall of Fame, Florida Fishing Hall of Fame (he intends turning this achievement into a film apparently ?) etc etc. He makes Doug Ellis look like a recluse.......given his age and his predilection for 3rd rate sports teams, I think I'd rather he kept his dollars for his other interests.

    ....and they sat stats don't lie ? Jesus Wept !! It's Marc Albrighton we're talking about here, not Arjen Robben. He started brightly, fell away, got injured, went on loan and then came back and stood out for 50% of the time he played in the worst Villa side since 1987. If he feels Leicester are a better bet for his career than us then good luck to him. I wish him no ill will but it's not like it's gonna cripple us, is it ?

    If it doesn't look like a takeover will happen with enough time to really improve the squad then yes he's probably worth keeping.

    He is worth keeping regardless; he has proven he is a brilliant player, and with our team I would start him every game. Always a threat, always puts in a shift. One of my favourite players in Claret and Blue.[/quote
