Had these pedo hunters round next door last night. The guy is about 40, has mental health issues, and lives with his mum and dad. We've had issues with him before, threatening to kill and what not. Seems he's been grooming kids 11-14. There were four blokes from oop norf, all had gopros on and were reading the chats out loud to him. It was pretty shocking to hear. The cops turned up, but I didn't see if they took him away.

As an aside, I usually have to inform them if I'm doing any work on the house because he will kick off big time! So they take him out for the day.

    Bizarre really

Are pedo hunters a real thing? Official police or vigilantes?

  2. Tin hat on.

Anyone think McGinn might like a bevy or three to many? I remember seeing a lot of of his Instagram posts with him drinking. Thats not real evidence at all, but it would explain his conditioning and his tiring towards the end of games.

Maybe he's got away with his natural athleticism up until now but the PL is the elite of the elite. Also look at his physique compared to Jack.

I may be completely wrong obviously and loved what he did and how he played for us last season. Would just love for him to push on to the next level and be even better.

im going to suggest that 4th kit is mugging people off, to the tune of 90 euros too

not sure what rob thinks of the increasing shirt costs which is no doubt linked to the increase in shirt deals which is thanks to FFP, I know the dodgy "straight from the factory" bollocks Chinese kits are frowned upon but this shit is unsustainable

It's just gonna get worse and worse. Remember when Utd and Man City played in one off 'retro kits' I think for the anniversary of the Munich disaster. I'm sure that was a test run to see if people had the appetite for one off shirts.

Over 10 years ago I remember the Dolphins playing in the NFL in an 'orange halloween' shirt. One game, with the replica available for only $99. It'll happen eventually all the time in the PL I'm sure. Villa even released a special limited edition shirt after the play off final.

  4. Always a shame when an exciting prospect doesn’t make the grade. But the PL is a bloody hard league in which to make it.

He’d be best off getting to a League 2 or League 1 club while he’s still young and try to tear up those leagues and work his way up.

I often think a lot of talented youngesters at big clubs have it far to easy and cushy. Takes the fight out of them.

  5. Watched Anna yesterday on a flight. Essentially Jean Luc Besson's revisits a "La Femme Nikita" story.

Enjoyable romp, well paced and the lead is well fit (also plenty of bewbage.) Story is told jumping back and forth in time which keeps you guessing and Helen Mirren's character is very tongue in cheek.

One or two horrifying acting/dialogue scenes at random here and there which made it a bit weird. Although they may have been scenes which were presented one way and then retold another way later on in the film.

I hadn't heard of it before I got on the plane and apparently the studio dumped it without much press because Besson has been accused of sexual misconduct. Worth just to see Sasha Luss though.

Trump spent two hours in hospital Sat night. It wasn’t a scheduled check up. Could he be feeling the stress?

Can you imagine the conspiracy 'Q' nuts theories if he was to die of a heart attack?

Anyone here used Streetlink before ?

was just coming home when I saw someone staggering a bit on the road before falling over .

i pulled over and went to help him and although a bit drunk ascertained he’s a homeless man , managed to get him to a bench so he’s no longer half laying in the road , then went home made him a cup of coffee and a sandwich and dropped it off with a few blankets but I’m kinda at a loss what else I should do ... google suggested Streetlink as it helps local authorities to be aware , but just wondered if anyone had any experience with that ? Seems you have to register first ...Or any other suggestions ?

    Bloody Socialist.

    (Only joking, nice one.)

  8. Just scanned an article about Children in Need on the BBC website. I have to say I vaguely recognized one presenter and none of the other 'stars' who were involved. (Or 'well known non-entities' as my dad always called them.)

Just made me realize I've been gone a long time from England now - over 20 years. Not sure how I feel about that.

Good shout - I got busy but I was going to put Hoddle in mine.

    As I can't think of a great right back. I've gone for 3 - 5 - 2.

I've raised this before. There is a unwritten code of toilet conduct for having a dump at work. Main rule is never go into a trap next to someone else when there is one further away. The other one is never come out of a cubicle when someone else has just come out. You wait until that person has washed their hands and left before coming out. That way you avoid the awkward "we've both just had a shit at work look" with the other person.

Surely there has to be some addendums? For example, going to the furthest stall and it's blocked with shit and paper. The seat in the next one in covered in piss and you don't want to clean it off and risk "somebody else's piss hand."

What happens if the only place left is next to a full trap?

  11. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but the Maradona documentary is brilliant. If like me you grew up football mad in the 80's & 90's it's particularly fascinating.

My biggest take away was that this guy was basically famous from the age of 15/16 and all he wanted to do was buy his mom and dad a house. There is a really touching scene near the beginning with him and his parents (he's about 16) that humanizes Maradona completely.

Obviously I grew up hating him when he scored that cheat goal against us in '86 and I ended up getting sent to bed by my dad for 'getting too upset about a bloody football match.' But this doc definitely softens him. There is even footage of the Argentina camp off the field during the '86 world cup which is very interesting. (It's all home video footage from the players & coaches I believe.)

    4th Movement of Schumann's 3rd Symphony "Rhenish."

Legend has it that after finding out that his wife, Clara, was having an affair with Johannes Brahms, Schumann tried to commit suicide by throwing himself into the Rhine. As he descended towards the icy water below, he looked up and saw the outline of the great Gothic Cologne Cathedral and heard the the chorale which forms the material for this movement. He survived (although remaining a manic depressive for the rest of his life) and left us this incredible piece depicting the outline of the Cathedral at Cologne.

Tin hat on, I know his records incredible and he's scored some great important goals but aguero has never really clicked for me, I never see him in the same way as Bergkamp or Henry or Drogba or van persie etc thought he was really poor today and so was jesus

I do enjoy Liverpool fans giving sterling stick, thought he was the best player on the pitch, had TAA on toast at times but he definitely only left for money

I disagree. He left to work with one of the best coaches in the world at one of the most highly organized clubs in the world. Liverpool weren't even qualifying for the CL when he left.
