  1. I just came hard.

oh I know the ones, where you think you're going to catch it but your hand was just in totally the wrong place

    yeah

and the next 5 minutes you're dabbing everything dry in your auntie's knicker drawer

    we've all been there

  2. I haven't been in the ground today, I've basically been looking after people's coats, organising the parking and keeping hold of tickets for the stragglers.

If you know Cardiff at all, just outside the ground is a river taxi platform, so we've been ferrying people down the bay to the food festival for a change of scene.

I don't think I'm going to get any use out of my tickets for tomorrow - and they included full restaurant foodage and free bar! Surely one or two bloody ozzies can stick it out and stretch the game in to tomorrow. Clearly cricket isn't their first game, but how hard can it be not to stick your leg in the way?

  3. Sunday morning should be a wipe out but ok from late morning / lunchtime.

I don't think it'll get to Sunday - that's what I was telling everyone today anyway - and it bagged me a couple tickets. So now I'm hoping it does get to Sunday, even if it's just an hour, because I've got a decent ticket for my nipper so I'd be superdad for a day.

  4. it was no doubt good at the time but when the party is over hes left with his own reality which is loads of debt, a drug habit and basically nothing to show for.

    nothing but hepatitis anyway

  5. If he does leave I think he's a useless selfish bastard and we can pick up players better than him down the labour exchange. Didn't expect any loyalty, didn't get any.

If he stays, it will be the best news of the summer and prove critical to our pushing on and shows just what an excellent vibe is being built at this club that world class talent wants to stay and play for the badge.

I shall pop back to the thread in a few weeks and quote one of those two lines.

  8.

what im loving is one of the men behind the attacks in tunisia is living in a million pound house in london and gets 50k a year benefits. we have tried to deport him but he keeps playing the human rights card, i mean come on seriously.

Who and where did you read this? Complete BS. I bet it came from the Sun.

so its not true because the sun published it?

    probably not 100%

but an awful lot of it is either lies or bizarrely poor journalism

I say that from first hand experience of 3 stories, each of which was absolutely wrong in absolutely every detail they printed - and they'd been given the truth first hand, in my presence.

  9. Freedom of speech does not permit punching someone in the face.

    absolutely agreed

equally, if he was punched in the face, I'd have real problems describing the attacker to the police

and as for the swastika giving you problems with the police....nah

even when clearly not a hindu or jainist symbol it was somehow easily distinguishable even by a London copper as just dickheads trying to cause offence

a state we are yet to reach with IS

  10. What I find fascinating with all these cults, be it IS or nazism or the Khmer Rouge and a host of others, is that they have such power over the mind.

You have a line of what, 20 to 25 men there on their knees. So I guess they are about to be executed on a stage. But there are no guards in close attendance. There is also a crowd of what appear to be 'civilians' and if we are to believe what we are told these will have been forced to attend and forced to watch.

I would like think that if I was to be in either situation then I would resist. But the reality appears to be, people, the majority of people, simply don't. The threat of having your throat cut appears to make a person utterly compliant right up to the point of the throat cut.

    It is odd.

As for various flags and their meanings, I am aware what an IS flag sort of looks like. But truly, if that other similar (but apparently fundamentally different) flag had been flying above those people about to be slaughtered i wouldn't have had sufficient knowledge of arabic script and nuance to know the difference. I certainly wouldn't run towards either flag if seeking refuge. Perhaps I'm just not paying enough attention.

  11. see, I personally knew there was some sort of difference but didn't know what it was

I know now, and would refer back to my earlier comment that whilst we must completely respect freedom of speech I wouldn't be upset if someone gave him a full strength punch in the mouth.

There is a philosophical debate to be had on the general question of whether the IRA should be celebrated in house murals, whether the swastika should be on punk tee shirts and whether we should be buying goods from China. But in the short term, this guy is clearly a provocative dick and risks / invites / baits people for a reaction. Unfortunately, that reaction is more likely to come from some inarticulate EDL scrote than a respectable, quiet relative of a victim.

We are being manipulated into 'us versus them' thinking, something the psychos on their side and hawks on our side would just love. Perhaps it would be even cleverer to offer him a cup of tea and ask his daughter if it's good or nice that daddy supports cutting people's heads off.
