Would you say Salifou could play a Defensive midfield role and bring the ball out and pass it? Say replace NRC in that role?

General not sure if I have asked this or had a reply to this elsewhere but what sort of music do you listen to? I recently started listening to Country music like the Rascal Flatts song My wish and its actually not too bad, just wondered what genre of music you like and do you go line dancing?

I dont know if you were being sarcastic, but I dont like articles that are in essence negative as they are on the front page, especially with our recent form the forum has become very negative in the thread types that are up. There were positives from this match, as weird as it seems to suggest, MON tried to be attacking in playing 4 forwards, 3 midfielders and 3 defenders and I think that most fans knew we would lose the game, but we learnt a few things and set up to "threaten" to attack, had we gone in 5-4-1 and still lost I would be fuming as we didnt even try to compete, we tried, we failed, but I do think that sometimes you need to lose a battle to win the war, this game was that... personally I would have played some youngsters, people say oh they might get scarred, but I think they would relish an opportunity to play at the Theatre of Dreams and if they did anything positive they would take that away and their confidence would be sky high too We have overachieved and the lopsidedness we have was evident and hopefully it will kick MON into gear to begin searching for the missing ingredients for that right side, Man Utds movement was something to behold too. Blandy was lucky enough to see the game live, newspapers are biased in what is written so I was hoping to hear more about how MONS formation faired, why he thought things went wrong, perhaps with suggestions on what he would feel might have worked with the personnel available. People wanted to see Harewood start... What did they make of him getting his chance? these questions he mentioned are interesting - Some people are not lucky enough to be able to afford to see villa week in week out, much less pay for a TV and have sky too, I do however from reading some of Blandys comments elsewhere on this forum, know that he could (and has) written pieces in far more interesting manners. Fine we lost but there are positives and questions to be asked I think the article needed balance to it With Gabby guaranteed a start he seems to just drift off and not work anywhere near as hard as he used to, I think he needs to be dropped to get him focussed mentally and to realise he's on the verge of the England team and shouldnt be letting Nike Adverts and the call ups get to his head. All I ask of Villa is that every player works hard, seeing Carew Walk around the pitch waiting for the ball to come to him disappoints me, seeing a lack of off the ball movement when we have possesion is diabolical and this is illustrated from every throw in i have seen this season! People are just too comfortable in their roles, sending some kids out would have made the regulars think about their attitudes

General interestingly on the NIKE ID site you can now buy football boots with the Manchester United Logo and Boca Juniors but no other teams...

General PLEASE put the number of tickets sold on the main site, idont personally want to know it but it'd save 20 people per game asking you for this ridiculous statistic and my having to scroll pages of threads to see the interesting points people raise; I dont know how you cope sometimes with that honestly :-P I've got a sponsor for our womens football team im starting, kits and everything, which made me remember the Villa Ladies team, how are they doing? and Thank you for helping don with their woes honestly so many of my friends are sooo jealous about Villa having you check boards and helping the fans have the club moulded to how they want it Hope you had a wonderful Easter and MY GAWD were the girls hot on St Patricks Day, i love how everyone in the USA celebrates it Guys you cant blame blue nose fans for coming to see REAL football, they're just a little jealous and need a little help in converting :-P

General Im very pro the youth team coming through and have been mumbling on about Nathan Delfouneso to start inthe first team or at leats make the bench, could Villa stick up videos of the youth team on the website for everyone to see? or is this something for Villa world fans? And have you practiced for your role at Right back this week :-P

I love the idea that TheSufferingVilla proposed there :-) imagine kids at school OOO ronaldo this, then Meh I nutmegged Gareth Barry and scored past Carew who played in goal... that would be sweet for kids (actually i think the reserves might be a better idea in case a first teamer is injured) General you should (if the NY villans all back this too and im a new member so i cant speak for everyone) come play for a few minutes in this years NY Villans team im hoping to join it too, but if they dont pick me this year im thinking of going to watch anyway and i have a horde of my fans willing to come watch from Philly, NJ and NY so yeah thats one thing thrown out there for you to consider

General I did the transportation survey too and I had problems with some fields and had to go previous to come back and fill them out. also some questions could do with a text box so we can add our thoughts/ideas on the issues being looked at like what sort of entertainment might get me to the ground earlier or to stay behind... so many ideas came to mind but the information gathering here is a little too narrow minded, they have alist of things they are looking to implement and it seems like we can not suggest things outside of this which seems like an opportunity wasted *fingers crossed* i wanna win the prize :-P

General I think its sad that people want to know the sponsor early, or have no sponsor on tops (we would be missing out on income) we should out of respect wait until the end of the season as a mark of respect for the current sponsors who took us on during a dark time and saw us come into the new era at Villa... I have joined the New York Villans Fan club and it looks like im moving to New york (decent wages) or Lexington KY (hot girls) lol but I love that villa has these fan clubs globally and I can meet fellow Villans whilst travelling around the world and wondered can the Official site have links to some of the supporters clubs globally, i think its a very good way to connect with other Villans and I look forward to drinking pints with the NY villans when im not flying out to see games at Villa park next season (i've applied for the season ticket) :-) Could the club also look into a Fan Day say in the summer a mini tournament between the Villa fan clubs to play a mini friendly tournament at Villa park before/after a Pre season game, perhaps even meet a few players. I know a heck of a lot of people abroad who want to come to VIlla park and playing on it would be a heck of an experience, if not a once in a lifetime experience and perhaps tip the scale when they think can i afford $xxx.xx for one game remember some people haven;t been to Villa park and its nice to see incentives for everyone to come see a game, you have discounts for students, government employees etc there is a huge global market of fans too :-)

I want Newcastle to go down, they claim to have the best support in the land lets see how they fair in the championship then. I wouldnt mind us getting Martins, Owen or Taylor on the cheap too or Shay Given :-P

General I read somewhere that Wes Brown might move to Villa (Dont care about this), but more interestingly MON wants to keep the wage structure and thus offer a large signing on fee to compensate him for the reduction in wages. This makes little sense to me Say over 4 years we want to pay someone 1m a year then they get 1m/year, if we elect to give them 2m as a signing on fee to make it only 0.5m paid a year in wages and the player leaves after 1 season we have in effect lost more money by paying a larger signing on fee, surely what we should do is break the wage structure BUT seeing as he would sign on a Free take some of the transfer money to pay for his excessive wages to balance it out so take 1m from the transfer funds and pay him 3m in regular wages funds... I hope that makes sense... End of Year 1 Signing on Fee -----------------------------No signing on fee 2m+500k=2.5m---------------------------------------------1m Year 2 3m in total----------------------------------------------------2m Year 3 3.5m----------------------------------------------------------3m Year 4 4m------------------------------------------------------------4m If the player stays for longer than 4 years then it makes sense but we'd pay another signing on fee anyway to renew a contract...

1. I dont doubt Marlon brings something "now" and changes games, good on him for that and YES I shall be supportive. I just hear rave reviews of Forrester and Defouneso and would love for them to break through too, im all for youth coming through the ranks... Thats why I love Villa we dont need to buy success, we're building a self sustainable club with an excellent youth system. Is there a problem with the Seat Exchange website? I tried some other links and get blank pages even at work is anyone else having the same problem? And I agree with the posts before me, We should try and have perhaps a walk of fame kinda thing to acknowledge Villa greats General did anything happen with the healthy food stalls? and will we get food/drink stalls named after players like Patriks Bergers, Barrys Beer or Platts Plaice etc?

General nice to see that you brought up the Marlon thing being a good choice by MON, but im sticking to my guns I think the lad is nothing near the quality I would expect of a Villa player and would love to see Nathan Delfouneso come through instead. Like the Aussie Fan earlier mentioned it would be impossible for some people to see their team live, remember some nations have a bad exchange rate and circumstances, but we shouldnt go to places around the world on a league basis, I am PRO Villa going abroad Pre, or Post Season but in a friendly cup/league basis, say a Nike Cup with all Nike kit sponsored names playing across Oceania/Far East or the top 16 in the premiership playing in a cup tournament because 3 would be relegated and one undeserving to play... knock out games around one continent... Ive been lucky enough to fly out from Philly when I live there to see games; it's very expensive but I can just about make ends meet... I know Birmingham based fans dont want the league games played abroad, but im sure they would support friendly tournaments... call it the Premiership plate a pre season tournament in a different continent each year

Yeah, damn shes prettier in person too On another note I bought a top through the Villa website and believe its Cursed, honest to god everytime I wear it we flop! I had it on at Villa park today till half time and then my friend Kerry said put the damn thing in my bag, suddenly we made a comeback and won lol, I wore it at fulham aftter we scored thinking the curse might lift, but alas we lost and the sequence has been like this all season :-(... Can you please ask Nike to make curse-proof footy tops for next season for me :-P Also will the Villa Store also sell England tops with the Villa player names on them? Oh and about this proposed movement of games abroad, I for one think it is a good idea but that there should be a preseason Premiership Cup tournament 4 groups of 5 teams (seeded) in 4 parts of the world, the champions from each mini league play in a final location in a knock out Semi and Final... more games and brand awareness, I dont like the idea of the league having an odd number of games against teams... but im sure Randy has it all in hand. General I wanted to say congratulations to MON and the Team, Randy yourself and the coachig staff, it's a testament to your hard work that we have 5 players in the England Squad; im very proud to be able to now almost have a choice of a Villa player on the back of my England Shirt; although I think I shall get Barry as Agbonlahor costs soo much in lettering lol I was glad to see Davies was chosen as he has the pace to cover laursen and brains to allow laursen to go up and win headers that aren't reaching the back line. re: Transfers im a little underwhelmed but im glad MON bought only a player he wanted and not someone who might have been as contraversial as one player was in the last window, I do however hope that he works as a Pundit on the Euro 2008 tournament this summer, his comments on a previous tournament he worked on were awesome! couple of questions for you: Will Villa look to employ a coach to teach flair moves? Billy Wingrove is such a coach (a free styling footballer) and coaches this at Spurs, I wondered if Villa might consider getting in a freestyler, its very useful for ball control and comfort on the ball What is the Curtis Davies deal? have we agreed a fee with them or not? Depends really if you talk about padding out the squad then no, the youths are fine backup the reserve and youths league tables suggest we have something to fall back on, if we have genuine class to play 1st team right away then yes, im vexxed that he doesnt look abroad more, too narrow minded for my liking and we have no good wingers in england that have skills to take multiple players on, fine i rate bentley, SWP is ok but not quite the same as a ronaldo, quaresma, nani we need cutting edge

Dear General RE: Europe if we dont finish in the right positions for automatic qualification we could yet enter the Inter toto competition; something MON has refused to do previously as it is pre season. I just wondered is it Solely MON's choice to enter it? If situations are such that we can enter, could we not field a youths/reserves team managed by the Reserves manager to avoid interfering with MONS pre season plans? this gives the kids a perfect opportunity to test themselves and if they fair well then we get to see European footy... Any thoughts on this? I see it as valuable experience for the kids

General... Thanks I emailed Nicky and im going to be placed on a waiting list for next season. I might well buy two season tickets to bring friends with me *fingers crossed* I have a fair few friends I converted into Villanism and they would love to come see a game next year with me, I joined the NY Villans but its a bit of a distance for us, so we might start a Philly group soon for fans :-P Yep I live in the city centre, 1 room (it's a dive) on locust st two blocks from city hall, nice location, I can just walk home, cant afford a car given I have to fly to London to see all my friends and family. My next question is what are the interesting places to go and see in the Tri state area? I have been to Wildwood, Ocean city, Atlantic City, 6 Flags (Best theme park in the world!)and NY, but do you know of any nice places to go see?

General Is MON still on the rolling contract? if so what is actually the reason for not having him tied to a deal long term? i know he is an honest man and would not leave in a rush but the club would get no compensation if he does indeed leave... just wondering and re: that american footy idea, would the club entertain the idea of having the browns play at Villa park pre season and vice versa for cross branding?
