You'd think that being Brum-based we could get Cadbury's to sponsor us or, someone like Jaguar?

Rank, Levy up to his usual BS
Wow! What is Levy on these days?
If that's their way of dealing can we please offer a joint bid of £30m for Kane and Son?

As someone who has been signed off in the past with anxiety, mental health problems are no laughing matter
I'd be more concerned about the fact he took time off with a bruise than depression!

Seems to me that NSWE have lost patience with what was going on before. Nas stepped in with the manager and with that working out well it seems like the top brass have made the decision that Purslow wasn't working out too well overall and so has replaced him with a new man. I like the fact they are not just settling for second best and trying to improve us all over the club.

He's an international, FA Cup winner, has lots of PL experience and is still in his mid 20s. For no transfer fee this has to be a good deal.

Monchi was at Roma when they signed Robin Olsen. I think that is a red flag for starters.

A Spanish guy at work, who is a mad Real Madrid fan, said to me this morning that Asensio was going to join Villa. I asked him if he's any good and he said he is but obviously struggles to get game time with Rodrygo and Vin jnr at Real. He said one of Asensio's traits is to try to score directly from corners. If he signs, we will have players trying to score from corners on both sides!

He came back and did himself and the club proud. A great pro to have around the club at this transitional time for us. Thanks for everything, Ash!

who is the new RB gonna be then?
Juan Foyth from Villarreal? If so, I can't imagine we would then go for Pau Torres as well from them. Although, I would love it to be Denzil Dumfries.

If we could somehow manage a summer window like this would folks be happy?
GK: Steffen - £5m?
RB: Walker-Peters - £20m?
CB: Torres - £40m?
MF: Guendouzi - £20m?
AM: Asensio - Free
AM: Barnes - £40m?
FW: Dembele - Free

I think the minimum we need is:
Back-up keeper, right back, striker, attacking wide player, attacking midfielder.

I know it has the potential to be bowlocks and I also know there is a huge chance it won't happen but, what if we're the only Premier League club to go in for him? I mean, that sways things, right? Classed as the biggest league in the world and with a top Spanish manager to play for maybe something could happen.

6 goals and 7 assists in PL at the age of 22.
Better than Grealish.
Better than Grealish, you say?
That'll be £125m then if you want him you cheating Manc clearings in the woods!

We have to be smart here,
we need to keep Archer and other youth players and we need to get a couple of top championship players for squad positions and competition.
we need 1-2 big signings of genuine quality.
we need depth, we have the quality in some good areas. They cannot play all the games we will have next year. Rotation will be significant.
We all (no offence to you) think we know what we should and shouldn't do for each situation/outcome but, if we signed nobody between now and the start of the season and Unai presented a polished turd as our new start centre forward for the next season I'd still be expecting 15+ goals from it next season.

In Unai I trust!
If he said pink was blue I'd believe him. What a manager we have.

Today, JJ said I'm Mr Aston Villa, it's my birthday and I'm going to boss this game. What a performance.

Nas and Wes, get Unai online tomorrow and give him a 10 year contract with double salary and a release clause of £50m PLEASE.
Unai, I absolutely love you. If I could grow a womb this fat 51 year old Brummie would have your babies. I love you, man

I hear ya mate, I do. I mean, if my missus could just show just one per cent of the intelligence Unai has I would have a lot more time for her.

Don’t get this logic. Unless you think we are going to win the league, success in the league means qualifying for Europe… if we don’t want to qualify for Europe so we can do better in the league and qualify for Europe that’s odd to me. Doesn’t really matter what the competition is and it’s 27 years since we won a trophy. Bring it on!
He played some fringe players in the Carabao cup and they lost at Southampton.

We are going to have to beat Brighton next week because I really feel that Brentford will beat Man City. No Citeh player is going to risk injury and missing that CL final. I think Brighton will beat Southampton so that takes them beyond our reach. Hopefully they'll rest up against us.

I like this. ^^^^
This now leaves me calm, chilled and, in a total state of awareness to the fact we're completing only signings from abroad now and they'll all be announced on and/or shortly after July 1st.
