He looked caught out for their goal but he absolutely wasn't.
Watch it again and see how he was tempted to dive in but held back and decided to run with his man. Yes, he got done but, he gave the defence time to gain cover. Unfortunately, Carlos got caught out and allowed Chan to beat him to the ball and Konsa was our last line of defence.
So glad he got our goal shortly afterwards.

Yeah, I'd buy Neto to play wide right. Or, could we set our sights higher?

I thought he did well. He rattled by far their most dangerous player and got away with it. Wasn't as dangerous going forward but he took care of business at the back.

Stonewall penalty. Ref abysmal.
It was a certain penalty and if refs don't give them of course players will go down easily.

Lucky yam yam bar stewards.
Torres did great not diving in as he could have left a huge space in behind. He got outrun but we had enough behind him to deal with their goal. Digne was unlucky to divert it straight to their man. But, Carlos was ball-watching. Konsa was way behind him yet quickest to react and unfortunate not to get a block in.

Tielemans is just not doing it. He gives the ball away far too much. Dendoncker is like a sideways player who is afraid to play a forward pass. Bailey keeps losing the ball or giving it away.
With our injury list there's not much we can do. It's nights like this I wish we kept Young and Philogene. If he's serious about winning this game I think Unai needs to bring in Dougie, Ollie and Matty.

Emi does so much talking and organising from the back....his streetwise demeanor, give the back 4, confidence.
He is more than just a goalkeeper......His whole presence is like a defensive minder.
I would say he is possibly irreplaceable.
He is for us, like Shilton was for Nottingham Forest, in their Heyday.
For me, Emi is the first name on the team sheet and without doubt our most important player.

I'd just love all Villa fans to realise where we've come from in the past decade, enjoy the fact our defence plays mostly in the opposition half, see how frequently we score goals, watch our management team celebrate every goal, see us climbing higher and higher up the table and stop moaning when our weakened starting eleven lose cup games.
Honestly, I could cry watching how beautiful we look as a team and then unhappy tears at how our fans whing because Tielemans makes a poor pass that leads to a cup defeat.
Sit back and enjoy the overall experience right now because I live in fear of Unai, Nas or Wes getting bored of us, I really do.

Crazy to say but, was this is easiest game of the season?

Brilliant display yet again! He did great to hold his discipline in that second half after his yellow. Brilliant performance, yet again. We're not missing Moreno and I never thought that possible.

Looking back to his best. When Bouba is at it he's absolutely brilliant! We are so lucky to have him.

He's not a natural striker but there's no doubt he's good enough for where we are. Ollie works his socks off every game and chips in with enough goals to more than justify his place in any Premier League team. He was great today!

He's going to be the best Villa defender ever if he stays long enough. Absolutely wonderful footballer who just oozes class with the ball at his feet.

Our Bellingham. Absolutely brilliant player who works hard up and down the pitch. So happy to see JJ back playing and on the scoresheet.

I absolutely love him! I have said for a very long time that he's our best centre back. I just think he's got that game that nobody can pass. He's great and he looked his best today.

Matty was brilliant today. I wish he would be more willing to overlap when in attack. He had chances prior to that first assist. He defended brilliantly against a very difficult opponent.

Thank god we're smashing records for all the right reasons after the shit we had to put up with when we went down.
Yeah but the fans need to stop with stupid comments after we lose the odd game. Seriously, I'm sure we've now attracted a load of hangers-on who aren't real Villa fans. The atmosphere at Villa Park today was dead at 3-0. That wasn't shock!

For me, Dougie is Captain material. Whenever John McGinn doesn't play, Dougie has to be Captain.

And he’s right.
No, he's not. Holding midfielders font score in five consecutive home games! He's in the top 3 midfielders in the PL.

Honestly, I read some comments from moron's and wonder 1) How on earth do these people call themselves supporters and 2) How long have they followed Villa.
For any sensible Villa fan, you must be wondering how on earth we got our owners and manager.
This is THE best Villa manager in my 51 years and he is only two transfer windows into his management. The owners need to give him the keys to the safe because Unai is THE real deal and will take us wherever they want us to go.
By the way, if you question how good Unai Emery is, I am a better Villa fan than you!

Gets better and better. We're really seeing prime Dougie right now.

Looks a really good player. Got a bit of an edge to him and I like that in a player.

It wasn't a lot of game time, but I thought that was his least effective game for us so far. Yes, he had a game-winning chance but, other than that, he looked a bit off it.
