  1. I love the idea of Jaden terrorising Dan Burn on Saturday night. It will make those Newcastle fans reminisce about Saint-Maximim even more, leaving them crying sandy tears into their Newky brown's.

  2. If he was good enough he would be given a chance by Unai. Plus, gotta make room for the next brother (Cole) to come through.

Thanks for everything AJ and all the best for the future. If you improve enough maybe we'll see you return.

Humans can speak more than one language!

That's true! For instance, Matty Cash can speak some Polish - shoe polish, furniture polish, car polish, nail polish etc.

Files in 'the game's gone' thread. While you'd certainly hope the PL would block such moves, they would more likely stand to one side in the name of 'wanting to have the best players in the world play in the Premier League'. So the Saudi intervention is increasing transfer fees and wages, while now also affecting the loan market: great.

We need Nas to set up a new Egyptian team called Al Sphinx etc and then buy loads of stars to go there so he can loan them back to Villa 😉

Just around 24 miles from Leverkusen. I guess Unai and Co are getting their man again.

Next stop for our plane? Barcelona? Milan? Turin?

Could that be deemed as inappropriate speak...in todays political correctness?

As a midget, I would ordinarily be offended by that but, considering that Unai said it, I am quite flattered to be spoken about by a man of such genius.

  7. -------------------Martinez-------------------

    Cash----Carlos------Torres------Moreno

    ----------------Luiz-------Kamara----------

    ---Diaby------------Felix----------Chiesa---

    ----------------------Watkins--------------------

Bench: Olsen (or new no.2), Mings, Konsa, McGinn, Tielemans, Bailey, Archer (or a new forward)

That'd be some team/squad if we could make it happen this summer.

  8. I admit that I've never seen him play but, for some reason, I get carried away when I see a foreign name being linked with us that costs tens of millions. I read somewhere that he's the French Bailey. I hope not. Someone who watches German fussball please tell me that he's a million times better than Bailey.

  9. Clearly, it was a strain for him to leave his home country - that makes sense. He's a young man and so it will be a tough thing to do. Thankfully, we have so much to remind him of home - Villa, to remind him of his home and the last club he played for. Numerous players speaking the same language. Tapas bars to eat at. His management team are familiar to him. He will soon settle down, especially when he goes home to that beautiful wife of his every day.

Fabrizio Romano is the real deal. This deal is done if he's saying that.

What an amazing signing. A Manure fan, at work, told me last week that he couldn't believe Villa would be getting this guy. He said that the scouts at Manure selected Torres as their number one choice to replace Mcguire as left centre back but Ten Hag wanted Martinez instead.

Ridiculous signing for us and a real show of intent from the club. Thank God for Unai!

Might need to ask all the residents who live there how they feel about that idea

Without it, Villa Park won't ever be able to call itself a "world class entertainment venue".

  12. I've been in the Doug Ellis tonight for the Supercross racing event. The service was appalling, as was the prices of everything. It also dawned on me for the first time just how narrow that concourse is. It's a safety hazard for you.

I hope that the next project we have for development is to either knock down the Doug Ellis or rebuild it and extend it back over the road.

Yes and no. Domestic window opened June 14th. International window is July 1st. We can still have agreements in place but can’t officially seal the deal until then.

    I like this. ^^^^

This now leaves me calm, chilled and, in a total state of awareness to the fact we're completing only signings from abroad now and they'll all be announced on and/or shortly after July 1st. 😁
