My current contract is almost up and I always told myself I would buy a handset out right and then get rolling contract to tie me over.
The problem is the giff gaff deal isn't what it was and you still need to spend £12-£15 for a sim only deal with a reasonable amount of data.
This deal has got me thinking about an iPhone 6 on contract. Would be £80 down and then only £23.49 per month for the 16gb model with 1000 mins, unltd texts and 2gb data. Seems good value from that point of view but I wonder about being capped at about 12gb of storage space.
Thoughts from the VT guru's?
I got my new iPhone 6 64GB yesterday after looking at the same deal and deciding 16GB is just way too small nowadays. After a bit of haggling with EE I managed to get it for £20 up front and £31 a month with unlimited texts and calls + 4GB of data. I had to request a PAC code in order to get that deal though mind.
Can anyone recommend a good case for the iPhone 6 that doesn't cost £30 or look ridiculous?

Booked my ticket today, been to all FA Cup games and quite a few PL games. Me and my old man got category 3 tickets, £43 each! Now just to figure out how to get down there.

So other than Benteke their options are restricted to Origi and maybe Mertens playing out of position if they're desperate. I think it's safe to say he'll be playing at least one game.

Well done Guinness, those bottles look beautiful. I'll be looking for these. I've tried their "Export Stout" (has a yellow label, carbonated like the old Guinness bottles, but with a chocolate flavor)...so-so...Not drinking them right now but tonight I will begin my search for these rare beauties
As recommended by our resident brainiac, the West Indies porter has bags of flavour and is my favourite.
I've definitely seen these in Asda. Not tried them as I'm not a fan of porters but the bottles attracted my attention.

Trusted my dad to book our tickets but he didn't until Monday. Couldn't get our usual seats in the upper holte so got to sit in the lower holte. Absolutely buzzing for this game!

No Benteke, please. Just no.
If we don't play him he's never going to start scoring again. He's miles better than Gabby or Weimann so he'll definitely be playing.

Can't wait for the iOS version of this, just hope it's not too expensive when it is launched. It's really addictive.

Borussia Mönchengladbach, purely because they were the closest Bundesliga team to me when I lived in Germany as a kid. It's only been the past couple of years that I've took an active interest in them though seeing as the Bundesliga is getting a lot more coverage in the UK now than it has before.

I personally wouldn't be very relaxed in Turkey because of all the bad experiences English football fans have had when they've been over there. I've also heard that the Turkish men don't really like the English men and get annoyed with them trying it on with what they see as 'their women'.
Surely those bad experiences are only relevant if you are going there to watch a football game? Not likely to experience any such issues lying on the beach at a holiday resort.
@OP: I've been to Turkey numerous times and loved it. I think you're over thinking the situation over there, you'll be fine!

Chelsea’s Thorgan Hazard joins Borussia Mönchengladbach on permanent deal
Chelsea’s Thorgan Hazard has agreed to make his loan move to Borussia Mönchengladbach permanent.
Hazard, the 21-year-old younger brother of Blues star Eden, moved to the Bundesliga side at the start of the season and, with his Chelsea deal expiring in the summer, he will now stay until 2020.
Chelsea have retained a buy-back option on the Belgian, who also spent two seasons on loan with Zulte Waregem.
Gladbach’s sporting director Max Eberl said: “Thorgan has shown what a great talent he is over the past few months. We are delighted we have managed to sign him, and that he has decided to play for Borussia over the next few years.”
A Chelsea statement read: “Thorgan Hazard has today signed for Borussia Mönchengladbach, with Chelsea having the right to exercise a future buy-back option.
“Chelsea Football Club wishes Thorgan well for the future and will continue to monitor his progress.”

"Space Cadets" fronted by Johnny Vaughan on Channel 4 springs to mind. One big hoax.
I just wiki'd this as I'd never heard of it. Sounds cruel tricking them but I'd guess the participants were a little gullible.
I know one of the participants. She was so excited about it
Bet the cash prize softened the blow a little bit though?

Hi,
I've been given 2 season cards to use at the Stoke match tomorrow, in the Holte end.
One is an U18 ticket, but i was planning to take my wife (her first ever football match!)
Can i use this season card?
Do i need to upgrade it?
Is it possible to upgrade a season card just for 1 match?
How much would it cost?
I'm almost sure you can do this, just call the ticket office. They should just charge you the difference in ticket price so won't be a lot.

To me the Bundesliga would probably even be behind Serie A, definitely behind La Liga and the Prem. Don't get me wrong, I love the league as it's so entertaining but in terms of average team quality it can't compete.

and my theory (not my theory but I thought of it before looking into it) that if the US defence budget was placed with NASA instead, we'd already be on Mars.
The top comment on that link, if accurate, is depressing.
Yeah... cities on the moon! Instead, all we've got to show for it is a few pointless wars.

I'm going to Germany in March for a couple of days. Hoping to go a few matches.
Currently booked
Friday 13th March: Bayer Leverkussen v Stuggart
Sunday 15th March: Borussia Monchengladbach v Hannover
and hoping to go
Dortmund v cologne on the Saturday.
Just wondering has anybody been these grounds and is there any decent pubs? Also are the Dortmund tickets hard to get hold of ?
I've been to Gladbach. I didn't notice any pubs nearby, there's not alot around it to be honest! It's not too bad for drinks inside the ground though from what I remember.

This thread infuriates me. My 3Mb Sky internet connection is shiiiiiiiiiiite.

Been trying this for YEARS! Best goal I've ever scored.
I've just submitted it to the FIFA goal of the week too, so hopefully I get put on one of their videos
The fact that it was Cissokho and not Ronaldo hitting it should count in your favour for sure. Good goal!

This game has taught me one thing. I'm a massive wuss. As soon as the radio thing alerts me that it's getting close to night time, I panic! They're so freaky at night!

It's definitely exceeded my expectations so far. Some very funny parts, including the scene in AshVilla's spoiler thingy

Well Reus shouldn't have moved from Gladbach, treacherous scumbag.

Part of me just wants us to get relegated so that (in theory) we don't have the constant relegation battles every season any more, but I'm well aware that relegation will mean serious changes to the club and it's also not guaranteed that we won't do a Wolves and get relegated again.
It's massively frustrating, I'm fed up of this shitty football club ruining my weekends but yes, I still care. Wish I didn't though.

My Grandad died today he was 98 so a good innings. Its horrible what old age and cancer eventually does to people who are so proud and strong during life. Hands down the nicest person I have ever met who has had such an immeasurable influence on me as a person.
Wish I could have had one last drink with him.
Sorry to hear that Nicho, that sucks

I maybe on my own but I am finding myself drift off while watch TWD, dont know why but at the moment it feels more like a chore watching it than it should be.

£30m for Benteke? I doubt we'll get that sort of cash. £20m is probably more realistic.
