    This is all too much. I'd accepted he was going, I've been pulled back in, if it turns out he's going again I'm not sure I'll recover from this. Has someone started a support group yet?

    I hope someone is asking Jack the hard questions. Like how would he feel to score against Villa at the Holte End. Or even worse, he scored the winner v us in a cup final. I'm not even sure he'd be able to enjoy winning.

    I understand the want to test himself in the CL, even though you can argue for 80% of the competition it's not even at the level of the Premier League. He might go on to win the Prem and the CL and while that's an achievement when the time comes to look back I bet the Villa play off final feeling would trump anything else.

    If Buendia was told Jack is staying and that played a big part in why he joined I wonder what he is thinking now. Nothing done and dusted of course, but even so he might be pretty annoyed.

    Wonder how much not getting time for England has impacted him. The one person to boo here is Southgate, should be banned from Villa Park. If he goes to City I bet he's never on the bench for England again.

    What are the 5 stages of acceptance? The five stages, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are a part of the framework that makes up our learning to live with the one we lost. They are tools to help us frame and identify what we may be feeling. But they are not stops on some linear timeline in grief. I'm just at the depression stage, some are a bit behind.

    I had an old tweet up of his for an hour because I didn't believe he was doing it. Refreshed it a few times and eventually got the message "This tweet doesn't exist". He was doing it today.

    Yep, we wouldn't have much change out of that and as a team we are much worse off. It's impossible to replace his output for 100m IMO.

    It's shit. We make progress to near the top 6 then it gets ripped away when you are close. I trust our guys to keep going, but you need something extra to break through that barrier. Jack was that something extra that nobody else around us had.

    I just had an old tweet up of his from 2012. Saying about "Come on Utd tonight". I just refreshed it and it's gone.

    I don't know if it is true or not but if he is actively deleting old tweets about City and Utd this is bad news.

    This is it pretty much, it's what he represents. If Buendia wants to leave after 3 wonderful season, as long as we get a good fee fine. He's been here all his life and it's the connection with the fans and club you can't put a price on.

    I can't see how this is win win at all. It's lose lose if you ask me. We lose our best player and the money we get can't replace him. We don't need the cash, we need to build a quality team, this is a huge step backwards.
