Hull sacked their manager. Fans aren't happy, believe they overachieved this year and manager being scapegoated because they dropped off toward end of the season, but seems as though they're pretty frustrated and thinks he's done a great job.
Wonder how that'll impact Philogene-Bidace and whether he stays or not, have to imagine they'll be desperate to keep him but may impact him whether he decides to push for a move.
Nuts move by the owner. Held in such high regard by the players. But thats football. His remit was minimum playoffs i guess and he failed to achieve that.

Palace are properly cooking now. If we turn up to theirs like we did against Brighton they will murder us. That young kid from Blackburn is a proper player

Don't know about you but we would be a laughing stock playing CL. I just don't understand how everyone has fallen off a cliff form wise.

The set of results that had to happen to relegate them even if they won is absolutely bizarre.
Youd have got very good odds on Wednesday, Plymouth, Blues and Blackburn all to win.
Would have earned a fortune surely .

Tom Wagner is an absolute genius to pull this off, yet still they adore him because of him Trumpesque ways that are lapped up by their simpleton fans.

Great Russ Abbot at blues isnt it.

Now everything stay the same way. They get hope and still lose. Best situation.

They won't even be the biggest club in league 1.

Bloody hell

Sheff Wed ahead. Thats one eacape route for Blues gone if stays the same

He can be extremely wasteful in possession when he tries to barrel through a tackle and passes badly but thats the nature of the beast. He is like Buendia in that regard. The trade off is worth it though big time. You get a player who takes up brilliant positions in attacking areas, has finesse in abundance, and can finish with both feet with power and accuracy. You then add the breaking the lines passing and rrunning and you get a kid with a huge future for us. He isnt for everyone though but perfect for us and our system.

The problem we have is, Emi is more than a goalkeeper, he's the 12th Man.
We are relying on him, too much and he is central to everything we do.
He wallows in the involvement and the action, but when he is out, we look vulnerable.
I think Emi has saved us, when he shouldn't have had too, and we have come to expect it. We would have conceded far more without him, but it has masked over our defensive flaws.
I am not sure, how much of a climb down Olsen is.....or is he is just not protected enough?
Many times I have watched games and thought, without Emi, we would have lost, and we have actually won......I am not sure, how much that registers with some or is it just taken for granted?
Him and Ollie are our 2 matchwinners. The 2 most important players. One saves goals the other scores goals. Emi has a post shot xg minus goals...ie who has stopped the most goals being scored of +6.8 . The best in the league.
Ollie has 19 non penalty goals from a 15.4 xg. . Again up there with the best in the league..
Emi 100% is vital to us. Not only for how we play, but the fact he gets us out of the siht time after time. He is an extraordinary goalkeeper .

The expectation of Olympiakos fans might be our only hope. They will be expecting a procession. Early goal changes things , but i dont expect that to happen. Lille Legia were both hostile atmospheres and we folded pretty much. We need to do something completely different thats for sure. Our style just doesnt work against a high press when we get rattled.
-
Olsens biggest problem is that he doesnt seem very explosive. Emi would have gobbled up their 2nd goal. Its like .. Tiiiimmmbbbeeerrrr when Olsen spreads himself. A very reactive goalkeeper whereaa Emi is proactive. Anyway its done now, or is it. Let us pray Emi is going to be Ok.

Their pairing doesn't work, the McGinn-Tielemans pairing does. Tielemans-Luiz wasn't so hot either, but we did okay with it (draw at West Ham, win over Wolves at home).
The key is probably that Tielemans isn't there to provide defensive stability in midfield, and neither McGinn nor Luiz can do that job worth a shit.
I think that Tielemans is very vocal. And he can manage McGinn through a game. They seem suited. But Luiz is just a total loss of form at a key point.
-
Really concerning that Luiz and McGinn have both lost form together.

Back to the bad old days under Gerrard when he played with Luiz. Simply doesnt work. Its like Gerrard and Lampard all over again.

Probably underrated if anything
He looks like a kid who hangs around outside the local shops. Not a care in the world. But he has the lot.
