Think you can get a direct flight to Madagascar from Mauritius that would probably be my first choice

(wanted to do Madagascar on my recent African trip but didn't have enough time to do it justice )

South Africa is the other direct option from Mauritius  , see my report a few posts above but you can see and do loads from Jo'Berg and internal flights are very cheap

Dubai , I like it there but Mrs H doesn't , to be honest it is all very sterile and fake but  I just like the idea of Sun / swimming by day skiing / malls by night , ... Oman is more untouched and has a little more culture , should get the whale migrations in December

Looks like we might go to Sri Lanka have the option of 2 or so days in Muscat or Mumbai. presume you would recommend Muscat?

  2. So, circumstances have lead to me having 10 free days in december. I am going to be in maritius from the 23rd Dec which should be good however I am now free from the 12th Dec and so thought i would do something first and a friend of mine is willing to come.

I can do anything really. However obviously with going to Maritius though rather than going somewhere(Like Colombia) from London and back before then flying to maritius, i though somewhere close to mauritus where i can fly straight from there might be good.

Im looking for a mix of culture, activities, sun and drinks.

Tanzania(zanzibar) via Oman/Dubai was my first though... we both have friends in dubai and iv actually never been.

    any thoughts or suggestions people?

    @chappy @tonyh29

    Thanks in advance

  3. Im way more interested in this than a PS4 or Xbox. those things have little interest to me these days. I have had a PS1,2&3 btw.

Im obviously not a gamer. i dont spend enough time at home to be one. I maybe watch 30 mins of TV a day.

It seems more simple than those other consoles, where i could play a game of mariokart with the misses at home or on a train/plane.

I will wait for it to come out and check review etc but im interested.

Yeah I'm having that discussion with a mate at the moment.  Front display ratio is currently a selling point but I think if you go too high; as you say; it becomes difficult to handle without touching an active part of the screen.  I already tippy-toe (tippy-finger?) around my S6.  My mate's S7 Edge+ for me is extremely finicky, but he loves it.  It's him that sent me on that Xiaomi link.

But if Samsung can't nip their explodey problem in the bud (and properly compensate those whose houses they've burned down in the process), then I will be switching brands and the likes of OnePlus & Xiaomi are top of the heap.

& ZTE? The Axon 7 is meant to be the phone to have

  5. its the portable thing that does it for me. I have no interest in a PS or XBox, im mostly too busy with my day to day life to be able to spend much time with them anyway. However as said, looks like it would be decent for travelling.

Flying to the states or wherever with my GF and we could be playing mario cart against each on the plane.

I really dont need the best graphics or anything, just something fun to pass the time, when i havnt got a good book

  6. Ill probably buy it presuming its not a ridiculous price. I dont really game anymore but looks perfect for travelling. I take a fair few long flights each year. Being able to play 2 player mario cart on 1 tablet sells it for me, subject to actually working at that size.

any recommendations mate? i remember you purchased a phone  afew months back how did you get on with that?

Iv been looking into this alot, and if your not going for the mid ranged Oneplus 3 or the ZTE Axon 7 then probably the Xiaomi Redmi note 3 pro is advised. Although Oukitel k6000 looks good if you want a huge battery, or i went for the Elephone K6000 for my gf which on paper looks fantastic but could have problems.... she gets it monday

This page might be a great place to start, especially the comments. Im going to stop looking at them though as i should have deffo gone for the Redmi Note 3 pro for the misses

Edit: the 1+3 and Axon 7 are not midrange phones, their price is mid range, they are right up there. Redmi note is mid range but cheap

  8. My GFs phone (1+1) battery is done, lasts like 3 hours tops. So bought her a Elephone P9000.

It was between that and the redmi note 3 pro but the P9000 won with it running marshmallow and a few other positives.

It does have mixed reviews though, where its a great phone but can come with faults more often then it should. Which is abit of a worry.

However bought on amazon from a supplier but it is also "Fulfilled by Amazon". So Amazon also handles customer service and product returns for Fulfilled by Amazon items so any problems should be easily sorted. Heres hoping everythng is fine

Will let you know how she gets on

In this format, a RB2 (which he was at the time of trade) for a WR3 is a bad trade for me.

Agreed with SBS, way out of proportion.

@zak I'm playing you this week, so vetoing the trade hurts you.

I have already done it, dont think i can change it.

This is being blown well out of proportion IMO.

You all had a chance to veto the original trade but you all deemed the quality of the players being traded to be even so the 'My star player for your shit one' idea falls down.

it seemed a fine trade. Trading Enuwa for a RB on IR is not even though!

If it was for a week 5 game and the trade was mutually beneficial then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

You keep listing situations where this wouldn't be fair whereas this was a situation that was mutually beneficial, we both had our own matchups and after all is said and done, it didn't affect anything. You need to take it case by case, not list worse case scenarios as a strength in your argument.

Vetoing benefits me so I shouldn't be arguing this adamantly but I think this is unfair to SBS.

    was it mutually beneficial?

whichever week it is is irrelivant, no one should be helping someone else win a game.

Anyway, i cant seem to cancel my Veto and iv said my bit. if you have Enuwa when you play me, meh, thats the way it is

  10. I have already Vetoed it and dont think i can unveto it.

Irregardless of common sense and the best move to do now, it a pretty sketchy move to be playing.

How about if im through to the playoffs theres a game left and you need to win your game to get to the playoffs, but i dont want to play you so lend my star players to the player you are playing agianst. is that cool?

I mean its Fantasy football and theres no money in it so its not much of a big deal and im not going to get worked out about it. What would you think if someone else did it.

    I'll drop him.

Basically I'll explain the situation, then please decide if it broke any rules.

I was in bye week hell. SBS had no RB depth past his starters. He wasn't starting Enunwa this week so I asked if he'd be open to the switch for one week. He agreed. He won his matchup without using Sims and i lost using Enunwa.

Now we're trading back. If the trade is vetoed, I gain 100% and won't be punished for my part in the trade.

If the trade goes through, he gets his player back and I will cut Sims.

There it is, please discuss whether what we did was against any rules.

I think trading 1 week just to help out another person is definitely collusion. What happens if one of you makes playoff and the other doesnt, will you lend players then?

If Winston, Funchess and Gano combine for 80 plus points tonight I'm going to be well miffed.

Ignoring Funchess, in our league i dont think thats too difficult, i mean your QB and Kicker got 75 points, mine got 95.....

Time to buy that watch Zak :)

Indeed, just put a quick P+ L together for this season (starting with Galway Hurdle) and my profit covers the purchase! Which is amazing, cheers!

I will start looking into it and others.....maybe something a little more obscure to differ from the 3 i have that are all quite familiar brands and models

I'm not surprised. West has proven he can be a 3 down back (I wanted to draft him originally so hyped he's finally in). Dixon is back next week from injury and he impressed early on. Forsett really was surplus to requirements and getting older. I think the only reason we resigned him is because Dixon went down.

I'll always be grateful for him signing when he did. He made the transition from Ray Rice a lot easier with his professionalism and work rate. I'm glad he had a good few years with us and wish him all the best. He deserves a shot somewhere else for his (probable) last contract.

yeah but starting running back to just straight out cut in 8 days or something??

Ha Cheers Zak. I would be wary of getting carried away with those two great wins. Normally Nov is when the wins start racking up.

Iv been following your suggestion for over 2 years now i think. so just keep up the good work. Thought you might appreciate that it was going to a watch
