Let's not forget that we have Mings and Buendia coming back in the summer. I know they're both returning from serious injuries but that's like having two new signings arrive. Our bench / squad immediately looks a lot better with their names back on the subs bench (let alone if they are back and playing well enough to claim a starting position).
I'm just worried on how they come back, some players never return to that height of ability after an injury like that.

It won't
Same as the treble that they won under Ged is largely forgotten
Not by Liverpool fans. They would make great archaeologists, always digging out the past. The amount of times they bang on about that at work, already said they are doing the quad this time by adding the league, noone has ever done that Quad.... they are the best in the world blah blah. Insufferable spunk trumpets.

I might be totally wrong, but say we sold watkins (whether or not people think its an option) we would still need to replace him.
So we sell for say 70 mill. The cost of 'trying' to replace his output, work rate, likeability etc is going to be more than that. For as player of that quality, wages are likely going to have to break the bank also and be more than what ollie is on.
So if we do all that, are we not just straight back into a massive ffp shit cycle?
Also, we know what we'll get frok ollie each year. Any new transfers, partixularly strikers, are always a big gamble as to whether it would work
We would yes, but it wouldn't be a 70 + million striker, we just don't have the finances. Not only do we have to comply with FFP but UEFA for Europe!
Yes we have super rich owners, but hampered by FFP. So yes for us to be active in the summer someone will have to be sold.
People think Ramsey is the most viable as that's pure profit. But then that's a homegrown talent off the books...
So wouldn't be surprised to see Luiz/Watkins or Martinez leave IF a huge offer came in.
I'm just not getting my hope up with a busy summer window, we need better players for the squad but to fund that someone has to go.

Why are you even discussing selling Watkins
If the right offer come in I think the board would look at it, if it means it gives the club a healthy FFP margin.
Let's face facts, until our revenue starts increasing we have no choice but to sell players for the right price, it blows I know but what other choice done have? Invent a company to sponsor us for 100m? Cook the books?
I really would not be surprised to see a top player leave in the summer to help spear the additions to the squad.

Maguire has been getting away with fouling players consistently for all the games I have seen manure in this season, I'm amazed he's got away with it tbh. Problem for England is he won't get that leniency in internationals, he will be booked in the first 5 minutes, same as in Europe for manure.
For that reason alone he shouldn't be anywhere near the England side, he is a liability. Yet Southgate loves a bit of skiing with old Slabhead and Hendo.

Utter Klopp wankfest
Yeah. No social media for me this week, could be a good thing but already muted the work chat. Asked my manager if I can work from home this week, he said yes as he is as well
Also no sports TV either as its gonna be over Klopp.

Chelsea are absolutely rubbish.
They are so far behind the best of the league, with how much they've spent, it's unreal.
Battered us in the cup, where was that Chelsea!

So better for us for Liverpool to win I think.
No thanks. Rather coat my ballsack in blood and dip in a tank full of Piranhas.
Really hate their fans. Can't be doing with their fans going on all week, I happen to like my job and don't want to to sacked for putting someone through a table.

I don’t really care because isn’t Villa….
but I think that should’ve been a goal (as it was inside the rules imo). Don’t care enough to argue tbh.
I'm glad it was disallowed as it is all the liverpool fans on the work chat have gone on about for the last 20 odd mins. We was robbed etc... I hope Chelsea win so they will be quiet for the evening!

Could Konsa play as the cover CDM, like Stones does for City?
I think Konsa, has the versatility, to maybe do that......I think he is better on the floor, than in the air.
Interesting, never actually thought of that but you could be onto something there! Think he would be pretty good!

100% Toney will be going. Kane, Toney and knowing this Rashford or Wilson. He will make up some excuse like he needs to be playing at a top level like champions League or something stupid.... Then when pressed on Toneys inclusion he will change the subject
Watkins is on fire, if he has ambitions to play for England regularly then we will lose him. We know what that squad is like... Would be hard to replace without serious money!

The question that tickles me is, How does Ty get back in.
Easy he will play alongside Torres. Konsa out to the right, that Forest goal yesterday where Cash is just stood there shows while going forward he is OK but defensively he is Konsa, while not in his ideal position, is more favorable in that position and Unai knows that.
We miss Mings presence on set peice (defensively)

What a petulant word removed! Club captain and role model... rat faced
4th is very much ours for the taking, but we have to cut out our poor defending from set pieces, think only 2 other teams have conceded more (cant remember who, think Burnley were one)
Defo missing Mings, he was a magnet.
The Manure game where Maguire kept winning header after header, the marking was atrocious.
The Forest goal off the corner. 2/3 UNMARKED in the box. To think we have a set piece coach but can't defend them!

MOTD went out of their way to defend Maguire and how it wasn’t a red
What do you expect, Southgate 1st choice CB. Plays for Manure. There was a red in another game for something similar was there not?

I know we do this every week but how, just how, is the Utd - Fulham game first on MoTD. An average game other than the last 20 minutes between the teams in 6th and 13th respectively. Literally the only “justification” is that it’s Utd
What was the running order?
Called Manure as the 1st game

JFC !!!!!
The bias from Sky towards Manure is beyond a joke. It's so fecking annoying.
They lost, they're 6th yet Sky football go straight to reporting on them after the results are read out and it's all about Manure. It's all about Manure and the Jim Ratcliffe revolution.
Absolute bunch of hand gallopers.
We are 4th, win an entertaining game but no, it's the Manure road show.
Dreadful
Sadly it is what it is, most of manure fans are armchair fans so of course they are going to report on them.
But sky are all about the big 6. Its mostly the fans of them that tune in, glory hunters, armchair fans (much like MOTD)
