Given that Heck recently called for heavier punishments for those in breach of FFP, I remain confident we aren’t in trouble. The reality is however until we get higher up the table more often, we will have to sell players to bring in others and clear our overpaid and underused deadwood.

This is one area we always seem to struggle. Just years of mismanagement, overpaying for players either in wages and/or cost. Paying high wages to entice players to come. Something FFP is coming to bite us on the ass with i think?

FFP was always designed to make the top 6 a closed shop personally, any team that has an aspirations of making the top 6 have to sell their top talent while trying to compete with the sky scum 6 for a place in the promised lands. Yet the scum 6 can continually pump 150M a season into their squad. They have huge revenue from sponsorship, get big fees from their 'crap' players etc

Look at Newcastle, for all that money they cant spent, they have to sell.

As for us we face the prospect of selling Ramsey & Doug in the summer to make additions to the squad and keep in line of FFP.

Might be true, but they have sold for alot more, Coutinho for 1. I'd be interested in total spend over last 10 years excluding out goings, be far more than us.

I just got this info but I can't upload it off my phone... sorted it

But they don't have the resources of Man City or Chelsea.  Their spend has been at least double Liverpool's over the last decade and Liverpool have spent a lot.

I think there was a post a while back, they just sold some players for huge fees so their overall spend is lower, but let's not kid ourselves they have spent big on some players.

Just a typical deluded Liverpool fan comment about not having the money...

Wrighty and Laura woods as good as sitting ontop of Klopp to get the first interview after the game about how he feels.

Every Liverpool game it must take an extra few hours to clean the commentary and press area for all the jizzing off...

  5. I won't miss Klopp, spends most the game yelling at the 4th official in Premier league games. When he 1st came over he was a breath of fresh air. But the victim syndrome that is the embodiment of all things Liverpool, got into his bloodstream and he became this moaning dislikable tw@t

Never liked Liverpool anyway, long history with fans throughout the years, always go for personal insults because they are scum, so loving the fact their fans are in meltdown. I am quite surprised they aren't wearing black armbands for the rest of the season.

All matches will be on TV in some form in 5th round I think.

OK the official games picks for TV. 😁 Man City, manure and Liverpools games will be picked.

I'm afraid this will happen again.

I would be really disappointed if we finished 6th this season now, it would be worse than the collapse in 2009 IMO.

But its because of things like that we are always apprehensive!

The only happy people would be the Media with their told you so and it would take weeks to clean up the Sky and BBC studios if Spurs Finished 4th and Manure finished 5th. But for that to happen we would need to go on an awful run of losses, something that we dont do that often under the guidance of Unai.

We have been playing awful, the Everton game was diabolical. Maybe a cross between tiredness  and teams now combatting the high line.

Just looking at this, Konsa Watkins SJM and Emi, all ever present. 4 key players in key positions.

I only watch things like Talkshite on YT  being overseas and Henderson has been ridiculed on every channel

Pretty much every media outlet here is on their knees, cleaning his knob.

I got reported and had a 24 hour ban for commenting on a post where everyone was going "oh you deserve it Hendo" gobble gobble, blah blah.

I said he deserves nothing, sold his soul to a country that will give you 500 lashes and jail you for being gay, so all that hard work campaigning for gay rights undone for money. Money that he might not get. Some might call that Karma.

i Upset the apple cart, many abusive comments ranging from my kids are <sadly the word i put isn't alowed so that speaks volumes ( thought my profile was private, it is now....) to racism for what I said about what the Saudis do to you for been gay 🤣

  10. Maupey and Mee. Players you could never get tired of punching in the face all day

Another media tug fest over a player that has come back after breaking the rules and he is some sort of messiah!

Even their manager rubs me up the wrong way, spunk trumpet!

Brentford are the kind of club that will bring Mason Greenwood back to England... just a truly detestable club.

Another vote for never playing them ever again.

Away, then we'd run the usual risk of ambush, flying missiles inside and outside the sty.

Home, they would take great pleasure in trashing the toilet blocks etc and generally being a menace especially to any of our scarfers, women and kids walking up to the ground.

As others have said we would be in a no win situation. Batter them on the day 8-0 and the great unwashed will bleat about gaps in wealth, our spawniness etc. Win 1-0 and we'd never hear the end of it.......only 1-0 - even when winning the game by either score gives the same prize of a next round tie.

Don't get me wrong.....we have our own bonehead fans who enjoy a ruck with any other like minded word removed.....it's just that I see them akin to being grubby peasants desperate for crumbs from our table, but who would never admit to wanting to being in our position.....oh no......they are proppa, PROPPA working class fans mate who would keep it real and would refuse any association with the premier league circus and all the plastic, wannabe shallow fans and all that comes with it.

Yeah right.....they'd give their sisters up for a chance to be in the promised land !

This 💯 I hope we never play them again, their fans are absolute vermin.

You can guarantee if theu came to Villa park they would smash what they could up, rip up seats.  Intimate woman and kids.

No idea why people want to play this scummy bunch.  There is rivalry and then there is just acting like neanderthals.

I would rather have a  Birmingham Vs Liverpool match and someone drops a bomb on the stadium. Saying that it would be an improvement to their ground 🤣

I think you’re wrong, if they were going to do something like that they’d have done it.

Just because City have lots of money they cannot make their breaches which are vast, and clear, become legal. This whole “tying them in knots for years” is something which is threatened in the movies.

The premier league will be getting grief from everyone else, especially people like Everton and Forest if they are not punished comparatively.

I think they’ll get a massive points deduction which relegates them but they’ll come straight up. Transfer ban & fine too.

I really don't see it, I would be absolutely shocked if the PL relegated City.

PL is all about the money,

I would love to see the book thrown at city but sadly I don't think the PL have the balls to do what's needed. Sending them to the Championship for 1 season isn't punishment. Send them down 3 divisions, full transfer ban for 3 seasons. Their owners would soon get bored.

All this talk of stripping of titles. Fully justified, would call all the trophies they won in that period void. But will it happen? No.

You can fully expect the city legal team is combing the rules with a fine tooth comb looking for any loophole.

They wouldn’t give one club a points penalty, and another club a financial penalty (especially such a rich club). There would be uproar.

This is City, they will have an army of lawyer's tying the premier league in knots for years to come.

Everyone I have spoken to at work all say the same, city will get a small points deduction, a larger one suspended, a 7 figure fine and a 2 year suspended transfer ban. Premier league couldn't give a toss about the Evertons or Forests of the league

They care about the Manure, Liverpool and Man Cities of the league.
